  1. The link. The screenshot. What you see here, is a really simple addition machine, or a calculator. It can only handle two four-bit numbers, but I think it wouldn't be really hard to modify it to do bigger numbers. Right now, the biggest it can do is 15+15, since it's got 4 bits for input. It's only using XOR's, AND's, one NOT and some flip-flops (to "remember" user inputs, since there's only one "keyboard"). I can think of ways to make this simpler.
  2. Why do i feel like sneezing everytime i see another big shitpost with no logic, and anything intelectual to talk about. Go people out of SS13 and get a fresh air in your brains once in a while. Who knows how much you rotted yourself in your moms basement. srly's people.. wtf is wrong with you.. give it a rest, will ya, ya fken lesbian hating people.. as if world shifts around you. KEK
  3. What a time to be alive.
  4. Ever heard of Digital Works? It's great, I mean. It's playable, it has the gameplay, through the graphics are quite lacking. I'm spending some good time figuring out new circuits, it even got me to the point of figuring out how sdram works. 10/10 Am I the meme now?
  5. Now, that's not fun... sighs
  6. It also wouldn't be hard to say "If we can't trust these damn insectoids to manage crew, what makes us thing we can trust them to make sure our space station's engine doesn't EXPLODE/research WEAPONS and BOMBS/perform SURGERY on living crewmembers/cook us FOOD!!!" This logic could've applied to any race when we had a lot more restrictive Head of Staff roles, not too long ago. But we never did that. Why in God's name would we start now? Because of a handful of rubbish Vaurca players? I think not. When you see an unathi security officer (or a head of staff, or whoever), you think it may even possibly be safe to stay around him, as he had the cadet, security and law training, and that despite the tightened/rough requirements for a xeno to be hired, he actually got the job. He was also evaluated and examined by the DO's many times, to check if he's not a terrorist or anything. The ligger's probably working with NanoTrasen for years, if not tens of years. And then you look at a Vaurca, and wonder who's idea was to hire it. If I'm reading it correctly (and what I think): People don't want Vaurca to be banned from security roles just because there's a few bad officers out there. People want Vaurca to be banned from security roles because according to the role, they can't be trusted, are bad etc. And shouldn't be working on NanoTrasen's stations at all. The bad Vaurca officers problem is sort-of a coincidence, and just another reason for the Vaurca to be banned from security roles.
  7. ...Or you could just not hire them at all, and let them stay where they belong to, in their hives. NanoTrasen wouldn't want to have their security divisions filled with primitive, illiterate, 'raised into being warriors' bugs. You want your humans and skrells to feel safe and comfortable in their stations, and specie you only know for a year is exactly the opposite of it. It's like if we needed more "warrior" and "honor-driven" species. It breaks immersions or something.
  8. Excellent work, Commander. We are extremely impressed with what you've done for the project, Commander. Your overall results were beyond our expectations... and that is not a statement this Council makes lightly. We look forward to seeing you cooperate with us in the future. Stay safe, Commander. Take your well-earned break.
  9. It would be fair. It doesn't matter how players act, the lore matters, a Tajara can be 100% loyal and great and everything, but he won't be a captain, it's his Tajaran's lore. That's what makes the roleplaying enviroment seem alive, that races are not equal, that they're different, etc. Job restrictions are a part of race's lore, just like it wouldn't be okay to disable job restrictions for every race because some of them are great leaders. As I already stated in the other, other thread, +1.
  10. Excellent work, Commander. The Council is pleased to see our continued support of this project has been... worthwhile. We hope that your current successes only mark the beginning of an enduring effort to eliminate the threat. However, we still believe there is room for improvement in your efforts. Stay safe, Commander.
  11. While certain aspects of your performance were deemed acceptable, we expect more from you, Commander. We remain confident in your ability to improve the... effectiveness... of future operations... but this sentiment could change if your efforts continue to prove... inadequate. Step up your game, Commander.
  12. Commander. We've got an emergency.
  13. Hey good point. There's no way only 14 rounds occurred over the span of two weeks. Well everyone, the market has died of severe bread damage I'm afraid. Thanks for playing! I want my money back. I knew this was a fraud/scam, Vaurca's value couldn't just go down like that, no way. Where's my lawyer.
  14. We can rebuild him. We have the technology.
  15. bad meme, it's not even open-ended and exploitable enough to copypasta Fuck, I'm trying, okay? You know any guides on shiposting, that would help me a lot.
  16. Can I be honest? This is one of the most retarded things I've ever replied about and it goes to show the astounding lack of quality and effort put forward by certain members of the administration team. Would it be reasonable for me to assume; that this particular admin did it to make the other players feel bad with their 30-minutes timers, and then Serveris came to the rescue by hitting that Create New Thread button, without asking for any sort of additional details from the person doing it? Were the admin logs evidence enough to go out in a limb in making an attempt to judge that admin's reasons for editing timers (which was actually much more reasonable than multikeying, and i think they intended to apologize to everyone and change the ckey back in place once they had they fun, as is their obligation as someone on a ROLEPLAYING SERVER) as poor? I mean, fuck, I had plenty of intentions with roleplaying with the dude but it all kinda went down the crapper what with the poor admin complaint calling the admins on me. I mean, I sort of respect Delta, but I'm also unoriginal enough to need to shitpost this.
  17. I don't feel like we should have any explanations of greyshirts, just that we should try to teach them how to roleplay properly and/or ban them.
  18. It's just a cyborg, then. It's obvious you will receive positive feedback if you've roleplayed it good. If I'm reading it right, it's not any MMI-SCAI or some other bullshit. "A cyborg is the brain or neural node of a sapient species suspended in a nutrient solution and connected to an artificial body through the use of a brain-to-machine interface device." For your fancy MMI-SCAI's you probably should have an accepted lore canonization application, since it's a quite significant addition to the whole synthetics lore.
  19. AI's are not supposed to be emotional. You want your station AI to obey its law no matter what's the law. You specifically avoid making borg-AI's (AI's with organic brains, just like IPC's/shells) and sticking entire bodies into giant MMI's because of this. You don't want your AI to walk out of its core, lying on the floor and crying because of mean laws. You want it to work and be expendable, not to be whiney little walking piece of technology. Also, I think it was somewhere on the wiki or in the rules, round-start AI's are entirely synthetic, lawed borgs can be robots, androids or cyborgs.

    Gateway Despawn

10 minute cooldown. Gateway screens would glow red instead of dark green when it's on cooldown. It should only be possible to leave through the gateway on code green, or else what'd be stopping nukie ops and other horrors from using it? If people would raise to blue/red more often, that is.
  21. After actually reading that, fuck, now I feel bad. That was mean. I wish I had something interesting to say, but I don't. Don't ever get banned, Hive. That would make me sad, really. Considering that no matter how many shitposts I've seen coming out of you, I wasn't the one to think that you're the imbecile.
  22. You don't have to assume everyone's going to valid you at any moment but not taking a few precautions to at least even the playing field a bit isn't anyone's fault but yours. Only ten minutes? i thought it was a lot longer than that honestly. Personally i wouldnt mind borrowing a page out of skull's book and having a bash on this among staff to establish some clear consensus around ambushes. If aurora is such a shit hole and RP is fucking dead you don't have to keep coming back you know. Nah, they have to sustain the position of lore writer by an illusion of activity. I don't know about you, but usually when I'm playing, the HRP happens. I'm having fun, yes. Besides, if only some security "roleplay" of catching and containing the antagonists was a result of these deaths, perhaps that wasn't the best use of antagonist's abilities and the overall role? I wasn't there, but it really seems like it was a misuse of the antagonist role (as I said, I wasn't really there, playing that round). Also, an assassination probably isn't a gank, and that's what we already know. And no matter how many minutes of "roleplay" happened before the death, the outcome is still the same. You're still dead, only that with a few redundant say's.
  23. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE.
  24. You mean (AFAIK), my Skrellian officer ran the fuck out of the brig after the first show you fired, with the cadets and Yinzr staying. So, the lizarman's Yinzr (obviously). There was also Analytyst's (I think) Vaurca Officer, Voyd's catcadet, some human officer whose name I forgot, and, also human, russian cadet talking like zis. I've been playing Yvette, Skrellofficer that did absolutely nothing to stop the heisters. Yinzr is the one man army here, after you attacked the brig, Yinzr (with me trying to tag along) broke into the bridge, took the axe, broke into captain's office, stole his guns and the ID. He also told me to order some weapons from cargo. Later, after combating you, he returned to the bridge with a locker full of heisters' and armoury's weapons. I, too, would appreciate it if Alberyk could tone down Yinzr's robustness, desire to die a warrior's death and "much unathi honours".
