I changed the flavor text/description, giving it a lot more fluff and to be generally more descriptive. Also, I am waiting for a Spriter to improve and unblur the sprites. Also, I am leaving for 7-8 days to a place without my PC. I will be back.

If we are both talking about the same round, Red Queen had the sprite changed by an Admin, after ahelping and asking. I also could ask for the sprites, but I decided to just wait. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Droideka Also, combat droid sprites from B12 code.

Player Complaint - SenpaiShadow_
Dreamix replied to SierraKomodo's topic in Complaints Boards Archive
I can confirm what Senpai said. Seriously, resetting laws because AI was talking weirdly? And that officer who was constantly shouting "SOMEONE RESET AI" and "LOCKDOWN BORGS" was not helping. I also ahelped about crew's "metagaming", I believe Skull answered me that staff is currently investigating the issue. -
Player Complaint - SenpaiShadow_
Dreamix replied to SierraKomodo's topic in Complaints Boards Archive
While I am not sure if space carps were necessary, the crew reset'ed Murphy's laws a few times, just because he was talking 'weirdly'. Senpai clearly wanted to do something 'different', but the crew was just resetting his laws, I was playing a medical borg, I had fancy 'archduke' title, and shortly after I got it, I was locked and left in the medbay to die out of boredom (Usual round with 'rogue' AI, lockdown and forget). Then, I had my lawsync turned off by a roboticist. I have left shortly after the two-hour mark. Be aware that I couldn't see the command or security channel, as I was playing a medical borg. I couldn't see what damage did holodeck fire and carps, as I was locked down. If you want AI's to be good malfAI's, don't rush AI upload and don't lockdown the borgs on a slight sight of AI being rogue. -
Sybil Rosetta-Sigma's AskMe.nt Account
Dreamix replied to Killerhurtz's topic in Personal Query Terminal
A message from '4772 6170 6869 7465' appears: Greetings. This unit will assume that unit Sybil is emulating a female gender. Question. Why is she doing this? Is she seeking feedback on her runtime? Does she seek approval? Isn't this all reserved only for organics? Is she trying to replicate other organics behavior through this entirely recreational account? Question. Why is she doing this? -
I don't know how the overdose mechanics work, but: Not really, you can still enter a sleeper, and ask a doctor to spam you with inaprovaline and dylovene alternately, so you can have 235325 tricord in you blood to forget about that toxin damage. But I guess, the liver damage could work.

Just a suggestion. Immunosuppressants should have a 'limit' of them in a organism. Let's assume that the 'limit' is 10 units. So when you have 10 units of the drug in your organism, and after you inject yourself with another 10 units, you STILL have 10 units of that drug in your organism. That would prevent everyone from eating twenty pills of the drug and forgetting about the 'rejection'-thing for the rest of shift. Also, that would make transplantations rare, dangerous and highly dependent on chemistry and science. You would constantly watch your drug's levels in your organism, and you would need to know when to inject yourself with that drug.

Add a "Left" and "Right" indicators to borg's damage zones image, just like human/crew's damage zones. This actually prolonged the time that surgery took (Cutting the wrong bone, cauterising.) when I was playing a surgeon borg. Just add R and L to this: http://imgur.com/21SXP8G So, I believe the graphic that needs to be changed is in "icons/mob/screen1_robot.dmi" and it is called "zone_sel". Nothing fancy is needed, just the L/R indicators that /screen1_Midnight.dmi has.

Validhunting? Is brigging someone for 30 minutes, after seeing him standing near the bridge airlocks with a screwdriver and one of the ai upload boards (found in science, literally lying on the floor, officers were told about it), and having security/bartender's armor? Don't forget the second brigging, also, 30 minutes (charge was infiltration) + tracking and chemical implant. One player told me OOC-ly that security had "forensics reports", yeah, describing non-existent traces, fingerprints and fibers, because my character DID NOT entered the bridge, it was just standing with, mentioned before, board and a screwdriver. Also, this was extended. Also, there was no interrogations. That was my little test/experiment. There was no self-antagging, since my character did nothing bad (considering the board was going to be returned). I just wanted to give security something to do, I wasn't even resisting arrest. IRC, there was +5 officers. No one even considered to interrogate me, and the first arrest (near the bridge) was just peppersprayflashpepperflashcuffflash. I couldn't even say "Huh? This is not what you think it is!" Isn't security too eager to catch antags?

IMO, that's fine, if he was a QM one round, and a warden the next, Xenoarcheologist another, etc... But when they play all of those, in a single round, we have a problem. I am always intending to stick to one rule. I play the job I choosed to play. It may seem simple, but it isn't. When (for example) I have a ex-captain, with captain-employment records, but that particular round he arrived as an assistant, I will not expect others to treat me like a captain, or make me acting captain every round. And I expect others to play the role they are playing. I don't want to see EMT's/medical interns that should be CMO's (just because they have good skillset, learning chemistry, surgery, whatever), I don't want to see assistants being promoted to HoS's, just because they have good records. Why not we all make assistants, whose have CE/CMO/RD/HOS records and just promote them to positions they need? But that's just my opinion. Don't take it too seriously, please.

I don't want to make an another thread, so here are my questions, that were bothering me, since I started playing Graphite. How about normal, station-bound synthetics (cyborgs, robots, androids)? Are they made by NT (or can they be made by not-NT)? Are they entirely and always slaved to NT? Can they be IPC-like when not working, but only lawed during shifts? Can they be made by another non-NT company and just lent by them to NT for a few shifts? Can they be bought by NT from another company? Are they used only by NT (or by private, for example, ships, rich families)? How about late-joining? Are androids downloaded? Or that posi-brain was always that android, but was awoken from the sleep? How about androids being perceived as programs? Getting downloaded onto a chassis, on various stations, varying only by a number? How about a limit, bound, border, what can be reached by player's android, before it is being accused of being "too human" or "malfunctioning"?
-
And the normal, usual, non-whitelisted, human players have it the worst. That is major balance problem and "make an app" is not a solution to the problem. I have given up as a security officer a few times when invincible IPC's were running around, ignoring tasers and generally being too over-powered. Why no one thinks about normal, human players? Everyone seems to want to give their favourite race a boost and "best mechanics". Someone even suggested to give Tajarans a instant-jumping on the tables or a skyrim-khajit instant pickpocketing mechanics, what the fuck... Yes, this upsets me. Maybe make IPC's filled with delicate, weak and sensitive equipment/internal devices? (And don't say "use emp's and ion rifles", "be more robust" or "make an app", please.)

I think, we have the code for that. But I couldn't find a proper example of it to see if it works on a private server. Also, I found some sprites inside robots.dmi, resembling droidekas from starwars. http://imgur.com/6Ci6JgS Also, comparison of Graphite custom sprites and original droid-combat sprites from the editor. http://imgur.com/uxMwkzu

BYOND Key: Dreamixpl Character name: Graphite Item name: Graphite's chassis. Why is your character carrying said item to work? It is Graphite's chassis, it may be hard to work without it. Item function(s): It is a Graphite's chassis. Item description: Graphite is an android. Its paint is scraped off in some places, exposing its original red colour, under the freshly applied paint. It has lots of small holes, various scratches and several dents on its rugged external armor. Its armor is made out of some sort of rough and harsh in touch material, it does not shine. Graphite’s main ‘thorax’ is C-shaped, with its head on top of it, legs on its bottom end, and limbs extending from the middle. Graphite’s armor bends, crackles and creaks when it is moving, there are also visible little pneumatic cylinders, hissing and releasing gases of some sort when it is moving. This android is moving in a six-legged, insectoid-like manner, using its six relatively small legs. Its arms are thick and bulky, with some wires of various colours sticking out, and rails on its bottom and upper parts, probably used for mounting of additional equipment. These arms have round, 360-degree ball-joints, allowing them to rotate freely. On the sides, they have little, narrow ‘caution’-black-yellow stripes, with also a big, red sign in Skrellian language. It reads: ‘Warning, explosive weaponry’, despite its obvious lack of such weapons. Its arms are partially hollow, indicating absence of any non-standard or dangerous equipment. Graphite’s head is small, it does not have a clear location of its ‘mouth’ or other parts of a organic body. It does have a counterpart of eyes, a narrow panel composed of, at a first glance, LED lights, resembling a shape of letter "H". The panel always has a brighter point on it, constantly rotating, moving, shifting through surroundings, constantly scanning everything that is moving. Its head has three small antennas, two on its right side of the head, and one on its left side. It also has a small radar dish on its left side, the radar is constantly rotating on a steady pace. The sounds Graphite is synthesizing when it is communicating with its surroundings are calm, and non-gendered, one could say. It has flawless pronunciation, with some slight accent of Earth-slavic and Skrellian origin. Item appearance: Additional comments: I will send a private message with a link to .dmi file with the sprites when required. Also, I have the code to make it work in-game! Old stuff:

Lately, I had possibility to play full-round as a cyborg, installed in a Odysseus. I spent half of the round with a dead chemist right next to me, with no way to tell if he is dead or alive. My suggestions: - allow (posi)brains in mechs 'examining' - Not possible to check if someone is SSD, injured, dead. Also, if something can see/look around, should have possibility to examine. - allow (posi)brains in mechs 'pulling' - That would allow a borg in Odysseus to pull defibrillator from equipment storage and analyze meds that spawn there on the round start. Also, pull obstacles/people from its way. - add medHUD/secHUD to mechs by default - Borg in odysseus is unable to tell if someone is dead, alive, injuried, healthy. Putting everyone, everytime in a mounted sleeper to check if they are injured is not fun. Also, Gygax/Odysseus/other mechs should have secHUD/medHUD, it's a friggin, large combat/medic mech, right? - add crew-manifest to exosuit-commands/something in mechs by default - I imagine interior of a large mech is filled with lots of screens, some tell you damage the mech has, some tell you various data like power cell charge or station map, and one should display crew manifest. I am aware that exo-suits are not used too commonly. edit: - medical/security headset in mech - you (or only me) can only 'tune' to one frequency (and I could only change frequency to common or private AI, not both, only ONE of them) - flavor texts would be nice too too

Complaint - Door RP, Battle medics, among many other things.

Okay then, I did wrong, I apologise. But again: "And that "scorpion-arm blade deformed"-stuff does not work very well in a 2D game, where character appearance does not really change, just gets bloody or down on the floor. "/me is waves with his arm-blade" would help with RP". -

I, Lavonne Daveiga's player only flashed the changeling, when it was lying on the floor. I thought it is down because of pain-crit, damage, changeling regeneration, to add a 'feared but still wanted to not-die-RP-thing' as it would not change the game too much, not because I wanted to ruin Inverted's round. I did not call the security there, I told Captain it is not dead anymore and that I have a flash. I did not tried to put a straight vest (or whatever) on it. Also, I would like to ask, what did Inverted_Rectum expected? You wanted us, medical doctor and EMT to run away, screaming how 'bad and scary' your character is? Or maybe rest on the floor, peeing in our pants, waiting till you absorb us? Both, while waiting for security to come and 'ruin the RP'. edit: HoP was just trespassing and breaking the light. Is that just 10 or 15 minutes in the brig or shorter? As HoP has access to change his ID to have Captain-like-full access, he might just be searched and brigged for a few minutes. HoP could also just say "I just wanted to make a unexpected visit in medbay, check if the doctors are working, etc. A broken light? That was an accident, I accidentally bumped into it when looking at my PDA". Also: -trick-how exactly? With a smoke bomb? Or teleportation? Or changing identity? You can just track when the person appears next and tell security where that person is. -distract-how exactly? By a bomb? How would changeling HoP make a bomb? -disable-how? EMP? Bomb? Rush into your core and change your laws/card you/whatever? Wouldn't be that ganking? If not, wouldn't you just say ";halp, hop is in my core, halp plaese"? Not metagaming is easier than making 537586 escape plans, 4124 bombs put in strategic locations, 8658 hostages to die if things go wrong and being not robusted by antag hunting security, ganks, grey-tide, laser-sniping, whatever. -

Lavonne Daveiga's player here. I joined as assistant, generally... assisting with things. If security is over-staffed, I join with Daveiga as assistant, trying to get a reassigment to under-staffed department. You know how was I treating hallucination stings? I was stuffing patients into a sleeper, and giving them dexalin+dylovene, because it worked once (or many times, or hallucination just ended). Lavonne Daveiga, Me, battle medic: The moment I saw you approaching to me and Jamini's character, we were talking with Captain, phrases appeared such as: "oh god, it is now alive", "DNC won't be needed" or "security is coming" or "I have a flash!" (Daveiga), "flash him!" (Captain), "I will!" (Daveiga). I thought you were down anyway (because of injuries) so flashing once (or twice, I don't remember) won't change anything, as it does 0 damage. And that "scorpion-arm blade deformed"-stuff does not work very well in a 2D game, where character appearance does not really change, just gets bloody or down on the floor. "/me is waves with his arm-blade" would help with RP (I know I am not the best Role Player here, I rarely use /me's). -I was later (or before this situation) promoted/reassigned to medical doctor (I asked only for a nursing intern). -I found the flash and put it in my satchel before, when security were hallucinating. -Lavonne Daveiga has security and police employment records, that might be the reason she stayed calm during these situations Sarko, door RP: I (IIRC) have never heard anything from his AI. Just a word or two at the round end. It just responded to "AI open door"s with opening these doors. Jamini, battle medic (?): No idea what to say. Other than "metagaming" (??? not sure). Her character knew surgery, chemistry, cryo, everything (I am not sure if that is a bad thing) Callum, the sleeping CMO: He just locked himself (no shutters) in his office early (or not?) in the round, he stayed there for ~80% (???) of the round, no idea why. I considered ahelping if I should cryo him. -
Prospect1559 - creating unnecessary conflict

Yes, I did started bad behavior first, but I am sure that bad behavior was not "raging and hurling insults", because (the complaint): -

Later that round: -
BYOND Key: Dreamixpl Player Byond Key: Prospekt1559 Reason for complaint: creating unnecessary conflict Approximate Date/Time: 14.04.2015, the whole round that started around 17:00, British time First: Prospekt's head app was accepted on 13.04.2015, 14.04.2015, around 17:00, British time, Prospekt joins mid-round, with character that is named Wulfrein Schassner, Captain. I am 90% sure there was said on server rules or somewhere on the forums, that player that just got their head app accepted, shouldn't immediately join as a captain, but try a easier head like RD or CE. Second: "OOC: Prospekt1559: also it was a mistake trust me" "mistake" Can I ask how? I played Wulf Schassner since January, I was once or twice acting HoS with Prospekt's character as a security officer, I played Wulf as a officer when Prospekt was playing Unathi officers. I was already on the crew manifest, Prospekt didn't even checked the crew manifest before joining? He didn't remembered me from any of the shifts before? I am asking, how that was a mistake? Also, that is... I don't even. "if you need to release your angry army of insults". I never insulted Prospekt. The main cause of my 'rage quit' was IMHO bad cult, not Prospekt. That is just self-centered (can't find a better word). Third: Conclusion: Also, that is clearly a wish to create a conflict between me and Prospekt, I am afraid that Prospekt will hold a meta-grudge on me in future rounds. [erased ~Dreamix]. Or at least make him change his character's name and surname. And last: full logs of the 'accident': https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HwGiXKF1A8asbYMEYUkXV6Fqz6xPYokxgR8zsqSZRd8/edit?usp=sharing

+1 Jackal is best, interesting character. I remember, once you participated in a cleaning contest with another borg (I was A.I., sadly, you have lost).

What I feel worth adding to the discussion: When playing security and when you want to roleplay with 'antag', you don't have any guarantee that he will care about your "What are you doing here?" or "/me looks at antag, suprised" and that he won't just shoot you before you are even done typing that. As I am not playing antag roles (because I apparently have problems with antagging, ), I think antagonist 'ganking' is a issue, because they have no guarantee that the person they want to RP a murder on has no "; Help me, Im murdered by..." ready to copy-paste-enter.
