  1. Obviously we have necks. Lol. sprites don't have neck movement. Sprite direction is either full body or a line in chat. When you turn your head to give me a once over i can tell youre doing it.
  2. I like your answers and you show maturity in acknowleding past behaviors. I understand your trauma experience. I think your plans are good. +1
  3. I hope the policy is replaced with a clarification. Just deleting a 6 year old policy and enforcing a new one without communicate the new one would be a pain. Communication is always good.
  4. I think it makes sense that when you look at something you turn to look at it.
  5. This is why i suggested a clarification, written in Caelphons own words; the current policy doesn't describe the situation he intends and enforces. The post for auto canonity uses pretty sweeping and blanket statements about it. Unless someone complained (that youre lord of a city) your world/backstory existed with just as much weight as anything a lorewriter created.
  6. In 2016 when I was loremaster I implemented the policy on automatic canonity for (mostly human) backgrounds. Anything you made that didn't get a complaint lodged about it was automatically canon. https://forums.aurorastation.org/topic/4263-automatic-canonity-human-space-guideline/ It was contentious back then and the culture has shifted further away from being fine with this kind of improvisation. It's also called "headcanon" now, which is technically inaccurate in usage and it's pretty loaded if you ask me, but I'll be using it from now on without further comment for clarity in communication. I have conversations about auto-canonity in the discord sometimes and I get wildly different responses from players and staff when I pose questions about automatic canonity. Usually what happens is a group of people say it's fine to have headcanon faction as your origin while at the same time saying it makes your RP harder, another signalling it's various levels of improper, then someone saying no one said the latter and implying I'm being hysterical or whatever. With the widespread retcons going on to bring the lore in line with the current lore administration's expectations, and the frequent farcas that result from changing existing places like cities that rely on headcanon because they don't have a lot of explicit structure to them, and the loremaster has explicitly mentioned a dislike of headcanon that conflicts with what's established. My suggestion is an explicit reversal of the automatic canonity guideline. It should be communicated that: Character backgrounds that rely on headcanon are subordinate to established lore and no longer share equal weight from the loremaster. Headcanon is not automatically canon. This will align the loremasters (as I've seen it) views and expectations.
  7. I agree with everything Dansemacabre said. His point about the limits of anticorporatisms limitations answered my rhetorical question.
  8. What does the anti-corporatism want to replace corporations with?
  9. +1 i like the replies he gives to questions, especially to the PRA views.
  10. +1 good app i like their answers to the question. I like the answer to 4 the most.
  11. Gst was just saying how timezones worked in the galaxy and why everyone shorthanded to using the server time when talking about things on other ends of space. Like "at 6pm in adhomai..." It didn't do anything about what time it was on the wiki.
  12. Update: GST was retconned. I was trying to find the wiki page wondering if I dreamed the entire thing and found this thread instead, Lol Archive this?
  13. I followed it and read all posts. This is the biggest thing i echo. A competetive way to look at the factions is adversarial. I remember when loredevs kept launching and proposing bigger ships, trying to one up one another and personifying their faction with big gunboats more cutting edge than the last. It ended when i put my foot down after a five mile long megabattleship in a secret blacksite facility by nanotrasen that could wipe out all known ships. Then a brief conversation on how another faction could beat it... I hope there is not a repeat of that phase. For the rest i echo what everyone else said. In future skrell arcs, could we see their diplomatic muscles too? Maybe focus on some select NPCs and follow their stories as they bend the galaxy to their whim without firing a shot?
  14. I remember writing these. The luna convention was just a tool to update human rights laws to space. I'm suprised to see it mentioned; i assumed it was retconned because its ancient and i think i rarely saw it mentioned. Does it get much mileage nowadays? The iac was always a favorite i liked that everyone else shrugged at. They're the only egalitarian movement that doesn't compromise their message. In the dark, hopeless, and cynical setting built for aurora they seem strange and out of place. I still like their dorky outfits.
  15. This project is cancelled due to me being told by relevant parties that it's unwelcome and unnecessary.
  16. This project is cancelled due to lack of interest.
  17. I agree with this. Adding districts also removes the story fun of biesel being where all these people integrate. Biesep should be the place where every playable species can share the same apartment block or suburban street.
  18. I understand, even if I am confused. This documents existing mechanics, unless there were changes to the formulas.
  19. It sounds like you want visitors to be off-screen vendors? If so, could be neat.
  20. I totally forgot about the stamina drain when writing that. Embarrassing! The only thing I'm leery about are debilitating injuries that make it difficult to perform the actual escape, which only just begins when you're free of cuffs. Other than that im critically in favor of the suggestion, and it eill be interesting to watch the results.
  21. Did unathi lose their quick break? Im not sure on dislocation or losing stamina. Seconds matter during an escape and making the drawback so debilitating right off makes it seem like a noob trap because you cant feasible use tools or whatever to escape. It already requires being isolated from security for a prolonged length of time during processing - where they should be spending all their time babysitting you regardless.
  22. I pushed hard for the night lighting because i love the mood and feeling of time progression that it gives. Im not sure about expanding the natural night-light as a permanent fixture across the entire station even as i love the concept itself. How i think this can work for both groups is to make this the lighting in areas we want to appear moody or shady. The lighting can be used to compliment the mood of a department. Engineering i feel could be dim. RnD should be bright and sterile. The security wing could be moody. The hallway going to cargo and the Br can be moody. Hallway around the holodeck and medbay could be bright . Etc etc etc On the ship it could also be used to denote high traffic hallways (bright) with low traffic hallways (moody) That way we can have moodier lights jn areas without washing out the entire stations color pallete?
  23. App is withdrawn. Please lock and archive when convienent!
  24. I agree. We shouldn't use old behavior as a permanent mark. The problem would be if this behavior continued. Which i dont think ive seen. Kyres looks, from what i see, pretty chill.
  25. Hmmmmm i like these answers! +1
