Two questions. Do you believe server rules must be followed to the letter at all times? if not why? Second, how willing are you to disagree with other staff? even admins/the headmin?

Hello! rest assured i havent forgotten this complaint. Im trying to get into contact with subdigital "the hos" and get his version of things as well. I have confirmed with out loremaster that theres pretty much no way besides borging to execute someone without ending up in prison for the rest of your life, especially for loyalty implanted people.

Mass murder can be done, its tricky to offer buildup to the whole or almost all of the station to be able to kill a large amount of people but...its been done. Spoiler alert, they are actually my favorite times in this game. Frankly, i think this mentality we like to parrot of "if you're playing to win then you're on the wrong server" is kinda toxic most times. I dont think its the whole reason of why people absolutely hate losing in any shape or form, but its probably a large contributor.

Im of the opinion we should judge it case by case, in fact we sort of already do. i think expecting your enemies to monologue with you before killing you is a bit unreasonable most times. Especially since the longer you wait the more time security/the AI has to locate and robust you. Someone said it better than me but ill keep stealing it. Sometimes theres collateral and sometimes that collateral is you, deal with it.

I think a character complaint here is fine to discuss if this is or is not ok. I will say that every round I play CMO or my RD she always asks for the executive permission form to allow her to leave the lab while under the effects of genetic testing. Its also the general consensus of staff that geneticists sign a waiver before they even come aboard so they can self test. What safiya is doing is 100% legal IC, well besides the undressing anyway..... Regardless, is not sure if running around as a pink telekinetic tajaran is too out of bounds given the lengths she goes to do it legally but it open to discussing it. I think we do need to draw the line some where on "this is trolley and immersion breaking" if we want to call ourselves a high RP server.

It is unfortunate i think, delta but I feel as if coupled with your IIVreasoning and indeed red's post here I think its reasonable to chalk this up to an "oops". It seems to me there was an unfortunate communication issue with sierra being bogged down with AI chat and jackboot making a good faith effort to be transparent that he was playing in the round. In the future this can only be solved by better communication as I do not believe anyone is at fault here. I will lock and archive this in 24 hlura.

I feel like this thread has been given sufficient explanation and its been inactive for quite some time. Loyalty implants are tricky but its a general consensus among staff that whatever implanted people are doing they MUST truly believe its for the greater good of nanotrasen. In this case a captain quitting would be valid, I shall lock this and archive it in 24 hours.

Im willing to renege a bit on the second point... however i feel like we are looking for ways to justify it so much and not really examining that firing lethals at someone should be actively discouraged. especially for an engineer that would have cause to be there and appeared unarmed. That he was actually armed and the antag after all (which i knew since im a staff member) is irrelavent in my opinion.

Ive thought about this some and it might be questionable i dont think climbing into a mech here was completely over the line given the circumstances. You where also given a warning by me for performing an execution in it so.. unless im missing something pretty severe.

The problem i have is... if it was built for security then why where you piloting it? and you have to understand that a captain, even piloting a mech should NEVER be in a position to go charging to places where security would normally respond to.

First one was not with any ED bots, you literally saw someone wake from the dead and your first instinct was to arrest them...really powergamey. Second instant, im getting tired of debating this honestly, you do not have the authority as an officer to deliver that warning on green/blue alert but i could have forgone that due to maybe being an IC issue if you didnt just shoot him anyway. you are an officer and have multiple non-lethal ways of bringing an UNARMED person down and you chose to go for the non-lethal way. that he actually was the antag is irrelevant.

OK SO, i need to unban every single alt of yours that got banned cuz of this. turns out admin bot auto-bans you everytime your login info changes. ive had to manually undo each ban placed. I have unbanned you about...twelve times now XD it should be finally fixed.
