Right... I don't like logging into a complaint with the majority of the posts being attacks on the OP and tone policing. I'm much more interested in the content of the post. Soooo lets get on to the actual complaint from here on out shall we? Great... Anyway, this complaint came about after callabaddie dropped a negative 1 on ove's app due to the shove mentioned RP-rev round. I was ghosting during the round before I went to work and did indeed observe over handle the prisoners mostly by themselves. Callabaddie you have a complaint directed at you, please post your side here and attempt to explain/deny the accusations levied against you. Brushing it off and insulting the OP is just as bad as him posting in such a rude manner.

Hello hunnewle, your application looks decent however i have some concerns. You say you have some issues with social anxiety but think its handled and are also a bit anti-social. Do you think this will affect you being part of the team? Our staff can be quit amorphous at times and relies very heavily on communication and individual initiative to get things done. Do you think you will be able to do this?

I can get behind this, in fact theres an element of this already. A lot of complaints dont really end up with one person being punished but through discussion and evidence we find that pretty much all involved had some blame. I think wanting to open a dialogue should always be encouraged.

we actually had a lengthy discussion among us staff on this. The general consensus was that it was OK right up until the point that people started dieing, as in people started using weapons and spears. Although even then this happening every round would become a problem as this shouldnt turn into "fight station 13" but once in awhile is A-OK. There was however some disagreement from one or two people that thought even it existing was a bad idea, that however is not my personal opinion.

Hi alberyk, im glad to see you decided to make a mod app. I think you're a good roleplayer and i think your overall style would be a benefit to the team. Although sometimes even when we are IC we have to drop things to handle an ahelp or deal with an issue, is this something you are gonna be able to handle?

Well, as tablespoon dealt with both people a character complaint will not change or add further punishments. if you feel tablespoon made a bad judgement or even banned you unfairly you are encouraged to make a staff complaint.

Ok, those are good points and I should have more explicitly stated what I had in mind. I think you could get away with removing objects from people and even bone repair but.... Internal organs surgery? Breaking own the chest cavity? I don't know about that.

At this point its a bit of he said she said.... But ill say this after thinking about it. Even if you where right next to Jackie, flashing him while he had his weapon drawn is.....questionable. I also don't know how I feel about you ignoring any sort of fear RP simply because your character is an officer sometimes. Even aurora security officers don't get guns drawn on them everyday and you also weren't playing as security.

You shouldn't EVER be doing surgery without some form of powerful painkiller (oxy) or spoor to knock me out. We are talking about a level of pain that could literally kill you or at best drive you completely and utterly insane. The mere thought alone should make any doctor aboard sick.

I'm not sure about regonden but it seems lathernend was banned as you say and I can only assume regonden was also dealt with. It seems to me this would be more appropriate as a staff complaint against table? I'm assuming he dealt with both players of course and I'm at work and can't check.

That section of our application, and indeed the entire app itself is only as good as you make it. Sure you can argue that the questions are generic or coach certain responses but I hope you have a little faith in us to tell the difference. You can write as much as you need to for those questions, or even explain why you think its type wrong question to ask and give us your reasoning why. Yes, it is a vague question I asked you. Intentionally so I might add. I'm looking to get a feel for your thought processes considering its an issue continuously debated by the community. Let me see if I can think of an example. Roboticists like to name their medibots and cleanerbots funny names or even memo names like John cena butt pounder. Is this just a joke in a small aspect of the game or is it breaking immersion on a high roleplay server?

Right, ill be honest. Your answers are all short or one sentence replies to the questions asked. You even say you posses no qualities that would make you a good moderator. Its difficult to tell where you are joking or not. I will assume this is a serious app and ask you some questions. You seem to be opinionated on how the role-play game should be based on your post history. Where do you think the line is between "heavy-roleplay" and "being way too non-serious". Essentially how much can we joke or mess around IC before we have to step in as staff?

everything checks out nicely then, i think thats more than enough time being banned. as long as you dont have any other ckeys you're banned with you should be unbanned now.

Howdy, there is one /slight/ problem here. It looks like on 2015-07-06 you were given an automatic ban by adminbot for attempting to dodge the initial ban, can you give some info on this?

It was only a small part of the decision, it all essentially boils down to the vast and overwhelming majority of your characters and interactions of them with out player-base being incredibly far off the mark of "high-RP". The list of ahelps about you on this matter is quite excessive im sorry to say. You're not a horrible person, nor do i think you intend malice of all of this. However, according to your note/warning you have been spoken to a few times in the past and also received a ban. Over a lengthy period of about 4 months your behavior has consistently reflected what i wrote. you need time off, plain and simple. Whether or not this is a perma-ban that remains forever is entirely up to you.

Ideally, yes i would have liked to have PMed you. Unfortunately you had logged off (after deploying a cleaner grenade no less). The problem here is "I HAVE AIDS" is something you constantly say on the forums, OOC, and most of your characters in game. Too much is just too much, and i will not insult you or myself in even trying to entertain the notion you where seriously roleplaying.

It was placed on you after you once again decided to claim your character had "aids". you have a consistent problem with playing non-serious characters and getting as close to the line to "chucklefuck" as you can get away with. Im sorry but considering the "i have aids" is like your calling card or something you cannot seriously tell me you where actually role-playing your character as...having AIDS. It was the final straw that broke the camel's back, you aren't here to seriously role-play. The only time you take anything even remotely seriously is when you are typing up a ban appeal or responding to complaints against you. You where a mod on this server once. You once enforced the same rules i do and i imagine you often spoke to people for doing some of the same things you did. You need a break from this server im sorry to say.

Senpaishadow posted on the first page saying he would read through this and write a proper reply, i can only assume something came up. Regardless i feel the community has a point here, where exactly do we draw the line between being a chucklefuck (against the rules) and just acting silly? this complaint here can set that precedant. In the past its been shaky and one of the more difficult things to make a decision on in the moment. Its entirely possible and likely we have been too lax and let it spiral out of control to become the norm. I think this is quite a large issue and needs serious attention. I have posted my thoughts above in the staff skype group so we can try to reach a consensus. Im sorry to only be able to say "we will discuss it" but i dont have the power (nor the inclination) to make a call this big and throw out punishments without other staff's opinion. In the mean time its to everyone's benefit to keep discussing this.

looks like some good stuff honestly, im very interested in the possibilities of roleplaying as someone 2 or 3 hundred years old. However we would have to strike a balance SOMEWHERE as you could argue that 2-300 hundred years is enough time to know how to do literally everything on the station.
