The admin online at the time "aimelessanalyst" AKA jennalele reckoned that the loyalty implant overrides enthralling. The problem is this particular topic has been brought up a few times in scattered incidents among staff, with different staff members being around for it or arguments shifting around it with no clear consensus every being given out ( or communicated at least). The last time i remember discussing this, the trending argument at the time was that mind-slaving and a loyalty implant have a leapfrog effect on one another and is indeed the argument i most subscribe to. The problem however gets a lot murkier as you pointed out here dreamix. From the vampire's point of view here it looks like the mind-slaving works perfectly, you even get the red V symbol above their head indicating they are a thrall to you. However if i check the thrall through VV i find that their loyalty implant is still intact. Wtf does a loyalty implant do again? the only thing we have really been able to agree on as staff is that no matter what all your actions have to be for the greater good of nanotrasen, as you can imagine theres a firm degree of wiggle room here but nothing too crazy (we wont let you lawyer this to antag of course or execute people). soooo is this in conflict with a mind-slaving? is it smart enough to recognize the magic of a vampire slaving it? does it "trick" the host into believe that serving their vampiric master IS for the good of nanotrasen? If it where 100% up to me at the time i would have said "mind slaving overrides loyalty implant" mostly because i think its more "fun". At the very least i do think its incredibly unfair for us to tell players "loyalty implant over rides a mind-slaving" when from a mechanical and in-game point of view it looks like the opposite.

Unless your patient does not like pain, just let him put anesthetics on himself and let him lie down on the table. I do not see a problem. It doesnt work though :C if they arent on an operating table you have a chance to "fail" and strike your patient with your surgical instruments. is this not the case for roller beds?

I was only privy to what was happening after safi shouted something about you stealing her ID and the AI informed me you where both next to my office in the viro entrance. This was also ahelped by another player, this incident was decided to be /strictly IC/. My problem with this complaint however is you took it upon yourself to get your things back and escalate the situation yourself. why didnt you get security involved?

It seems to me the OP has been answered reasonable well, plus skull's post here. I think rev rounds are a separate entity in which a few strange orders from CC tips over an already boiling pot of frustration IC. What are the OP's thoughts concerning skull's and jackboot's post?

Yeah, isolated incidents are fine but when its a consistent problem then I have to break out the awful "NT wouldn't hire you" argument.

I will say this, mutiny rounds are a bit of an exception since you are kinda supposed to....well...mutiny! However keep in mind that sticking to the in game chain of command IS a server rule. Its not your place as a security officer to deem your boss incompetent, it is also....not really your place to be overly confrontational. The HoS can demote you for it and Nanotrasen would give you the boot REAL QUICK for consistently being confrontational with you boss and questioning orders.

See there's a bit of a problem with your precedent and slippery slope argument. We do not moderate or punish on IFS and this is also not exactly a democracy. I know when it goes too far, I know when players do silly stuff too much. I bwoink them and politely tell them to stop. Its that simple, really. There isn't an argument when I tell you to stop something in PMs, no calling on "precedent" is not going to help. I know where the line is and when players cross it i punish/tell them to stop. You're making a whole lot out of a very very easily handled issue.

As a note, I had no way at the time to delay the round. Admins where AFK I had to plash catchup after round restart with all the chucklefucking. Jon ivanova is going to dealt with the absurd cargo tug display. as delta says however there was quite a degree of self-antagging going on even after the shuttle had docked at the odin. It was a very shifty situation and I unfortunately lost most of the ckeys involved. Was delta over the line in force? Sure, but you have to understand the situation at the time John. There's no time for RP or even reading chat when people are throwing cleaner grenades, throwing punches, disarm spamming, and of course the cargo tug running around. It was wrong of you to begin with to hit Jon with a wrench when you should have oust let us deal with me or ahelp about them (and people did). Now, as for Katy i can confirm pretty much all what delta said about me and when I see them in game ill send a PM to post their defense here.

Tricky, honestly. There is certainly a point where the "why would Nanotrasen hire this guy" argument becomes valid. It is my opinion however that situation for it to become valid is quite extreme indeed. I have not yet been able to get in touch with tenenza so I cannot say for sure what he chose to do. First things first, Lawed synthetics still have to abide by server rules first. In the case of a law that conflicts with server rules its expected you ahelp before carrying it out (although there is a generous degree of leniency if you DO carry it out). After that we go after whoever placed the law. What happened here appeared to be a trash talking and foul mouthed PAI Lawed to be as such. An initial thought is it appears to be an IC issue. Did you contact security? Report him to a head of staff? An IAA? An incident report? I admit I don't know if this is a longstanding problem with rafee and R.A.T or if its a one time thing. If its only happened this once perhaps its best to just laugh it off and handle it IC? Although I admit in not exactly going to bend over backwards to defend a Pai slinging insults. Its not exactly something I think should be going on too often on a high RP server or it willmvery quickly become an OOC issue.

My initial assessment is this is entirely ok. Roleplaying "incompetence" can be pretty tricky to pull off but i think, but i dont see a problem with what you just posted. When i see hunne ill get him to post here and then we can go from there.
