accepted Wezzy's Command Re-Application
Loorey replied to wowzewow's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Hi. As your Trial is intended for gathering feedback and whether to decide or not you are fit for playing a command role I will leave what I have observed in the few rounds I played with you or observed as of right now: Firstly, I don't really understand the deal with the hostility of your character against your own department, which is service. The first round you played this trial period, or well, the first I have seen, you wordlessly walked through the bar, to the kitchen, just to antagonize one of the cooks with sudden statements out of nowhere like: "How long was this dip out for?!". I get what you are trying to do here, but, really? Secondly about your communication, from my observations and while I was playing command or command support roles myself, you are barely communicative about the current ongoings of the shift, at all. There are attempts to be doing so, but mostly it's just radio silence when other command members ask you for something, especially well seen in the last round. Lastly and the thing which concerns me the most: You are actively questioning the presence of antagonists, constantly, and pushing to let their gimmick blow. As a member of command you are here to do the exact opposite of that. I have especially strongly seen this in the last round too, with the Idris mercs, where you have been in constant questioning of their actions and even proposed multiple times to fax central command about them. ^ That's all I have to drop, thanks for reading through it. Good luck with the rest of your trial, I hope these things get progressively better. -
Character Complaint - Cam Mueller
Loorey replied to NewOriginalSchwann's topic in Complaints Boards Archive
@Fyni and I will be taking the complaint. We will be sifting through the round logs and information about the round that we have accessible to ourselves. While that is happening, @QuestioningMark, it would be nice to hear your side of the story. Thanks. Also, @NewOriginalSchwann, was it Security that took away your radio by themselves, or the Chief Engineer that explicitly ordered Security to do so? What was the HoS' stance on all of this, if they said anything regarding it? It's important to know where that came from. -
BYOND Ckey: Loorey Discord username: loo_rey Character names: Casey Wildkins, Keira Yamamoto... and many more. Species you are applying to play: Tajara ------------------------------ General Whitelist Requirements What colour do you plan on making your first alien character?: Blue-Grey (#222532); a Zhan-Khazan. Have you read the lore pages for the species you wish to be whitelisted for?: Yes, I have. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question. Why do you wish to play this species?: I've been eyeing the species for a while now, and in my eyes, it's one of the most interesting. The infighting they have within the species itself and the interaction with humans and other species make them a very interesting pick; the strong interplay of castes and three very distinctive and much different forms of government add strongly to the RP flavor of the species. And beyond all of that, I just want to play and experience interactions with the species as I wanted to with every other one I applied for. The unique interactions and relations you can make with other characters really make for an amazing time playing another species.s. What makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a human?: Well, firstly, you have the obvious: Tajara have much more unique and distinctive cultural backgrounds; as such, they also have much different societal norms. Added to that, you have the much different physical characteristics of the species: They have rather felinoid characteristics, best seen in the examples of them having low-light vision and semi-prehensile tails. Another rather obvious factor in regards to their culture is how they interact with Tajara from other governmental forms, how the relations build with Tajara from their own government, such as the others. Most Tajara have also not only heard about or seen but experienced war in the form of the second revolution first-hand, which strongly factors into their personality and how they view things. And well, the talking in third person. ------------------------------ Character Application Character Name: Rakhim Jar'khazar Write a backstory for your character. This may include their origin, education, personality and how they arrived to the SCCV Horizon. Rakhim is Zhan-Khazan hailing from the rugged and worn-down industrial hub of Tampiska. Rakhim was born into and raised in a family with a strong work ethic and a deep respect, such as a loyalty towards the traditions and thoughts of the People's Republic. Though as a visionary Hadiist, Rakhim deviates with the thoughts into a direction of radical industrialization and progress - technology is crucial for the steps of superiority of the Party and the People's Republic as a whole, which he learned the hard way with the great hit his home city took during the second revolution. Growing up, Rakhim showed a great interest and curiosity towards mechanical technology, which was largely influenced by his parents, leading him in that direction, his parents, who both were present in the industrial sector of Tampiska. Rakhim's father is a welder in one of the many automobile factories within the city of Tampiska, producing only the highest quality of welds for the car bodies and other pieces of supporting structure. Rakhim's mother too worked within the industrial sector of automobile production, though she worked within engine manufacturing, strongly focused on fluid dynamics and hydraulics. Whether it was at the table when eating or just within his free time around the family, each and every day they enlightened him about work and the happenings and told him how good of a worker he will be one day. Growing up, Rakhim was a generally social and engaging person, though his parents kept him more in their circle, watching him grow into the worker he is now carefully and making sure only the thoughts they, and his university, the Tampiska Polytechnic University, want him to have. His parents always dreamed of him going to the TPU, as Rakhim's brother and only sibling did not quite make it; to their positive surprise, Rakhim has gotten and used his chance to study the complex workings of material engineering at the TPU. After dedicating all of his effort to studying and his social life slowly fading more and more, Rakhim has finally gotten his degree and worked within the sector of alloy casting and smithing. The hit on his social life was no issue for him in the long run, as he quickly integrated deeply with his colleagues and also maintained a focus on preserving family values and the social connections with him. Fast-forward A few years into his job, suddenly the mood changes to be rather grim - the Second Revolution hails. Day by day goes by, and Rakhim is witness to all of his colleagues being reassigned to military production facilities all across the People's Republic. Not too long after, he too gets reassigned to a weaponry research and production facility in Al'mari. Given his degree, he was assigned to a post with a mix of both scientists and engineers, experimenting with alloys for defensive use, where he got to work roughly two years, up until the assassination of President Al'mari Hadii. It was a shock for him, but not only for him, the entirety of the People's Republic. After the assassination of Al'mari Hadii and following the mass defections of naval officers a year later, Rakhim joined the Republican Navy of the People's Republic as a loyal naval engineer, where he served up until the end of the second revolution. The vessel that Rakhim served on was a supply and maintenance vessel acting as the support backbone of all other vessels in the fleet structure. After a long drag over the next eleven years, Rakhim gets to know a lot of new people, gets to see a lot of new places, and forms a lot of new thoughts. Though after everything, his enlistment abruptly ended where he briefly returned to reunite and live with his family, unemployed, up until when the horizon was built and near ready for commissioning - following a mass hiring action by the conglomerate and all of its affiliated corporations, Rakhim set foot on the Horizon as an engineer with Hephaestus Industries. How has the recent events of the Orion Spur impacted your character? Events such as the Phoron Scarcity, the Solarian Collapse or even the Invasions of Biesel for interstellar-wide affairs, while region-specific events such as the Peacekeeper Mandate, The Titan Rises or even Cold Dawn may impact your character. The Second Revolution, a grim time in the history of the People's Republic, has left a mark on Rakhim. The once-steady rhythm of his life in Tampiska was abruptly disrupted as the sudden change howled through the industrial heart of his homeland. The reassignment of his colleagues to military production facilities was a grim view and a suggestions of the trials to come, and when his own orders arrived, he found himself thrust right into the middle of conflict. In the weaponry research and production facility at Al'mari, Rakhim's skills were tested and trialed to the edge. The urgency of war demanded innovation and efficiency, but himself and his colleagues rose to the challenge. The assassination of President Al'mari Hadii was a shock that reverberated through the foundations of the People's Republic, and Rakhim felt the tremors in his own cultural view. His enlistment in the Republican Navy was a turning point in his life, forging him into a steadfast and loyal engineer. He witnessed the horrors of war firsthand, but also the unyielding spirit of his comrades and the unbreakable bonds of camaraderie that formed in the face of adversity. The end of the Second Revolution left Rakhim with a deep sense of purpose and a renewed commitment to the ideals of the People's Republic, though he wanted to see even more than he has seen during wartime, he wanted to see and experience the spur. How does your character view the megacorporation they work for? Rakhim views Hephaestus Industries with a mixture of admiration and skepticism. He recognizes the corporation's significant role in advancing industrial capabilities, aligning with his own vision of radical industrialization and technological progress. However, he remains cautious, aware of the potential for such a powerful entity to prioritize profit over the well-being of the workers who drive its success. Though overall, Rakhim does not have any stronger and more solid views on the megacorporation, it's a necessary evil to take in for him to work aboard and experience the Horizon; without Hephaestus, he would not be here; he would not get the chance to see the spur the way he can aboard the Horizon, and for that, he has to thank nobody but the megacorporation for accepting him.

Hello again. I want to preface this by saying that you should have tried to ahelp and have issues resolved in the round; most of the things outlined in this complaint could have been handled that way. Campin and I have discussed the complaint and spoken privately with ARandoDude and other involved players. After reviewing the situation, we came to the conclusion that there are no grounds for a whitelist stripânothing outlined in the complaint warrants it. However, we will be addressing ARandoDude regarding his general behavior while playing as the CMO or command roles in general. If there's nothing else to be added to the complaint, I will be locking and archiving it soon.
-
Hello, @CampinKiller and I will be handling the complaint. We'll be taking a look through everything and then follow-up. In the meantime, it would be great to hear the other perspective about this as well.

This discussion was intended to be casual and informal, focusing on my perspectives and ideas regarding information I previously handed out. During this conversation, Miss Samantha Gallagher, an Investigator, intruded by recording our discussion without my consent. This unexpected recording was a clear violation of my privacy and made me uncomfortable. The situation not only disrupted what was meant to be a straightforward exchange of ideas but also raised concerns about respect for personal boundaries. It's essential that conversations, even those that are not sensitive in nature, are conducted with mutual respect and consent. This incident underscores the need for ethical conduct in professional interactions. Submitted Evidence: After asking for the recording from both Investigator and Captain, my request was ignored. The Investigator, to note, also gave me a rude, unprofessional and dismissive comment on my way. Would you like to be personally interviewed?: [x] - Yes, if required. [ ] - No Did you report it to a Head of Staff or a superior? If so, who? If not, why?: The Captain. Actions taken: The Captain took little interest in my concerns. Additional Notes: n/A

Reporting Personnel: Maria Robinson Job Title of Reporting Personnel: Consular Officer, Republic of Biesel Game ID: cvV-cT9y Personnel Involved: - Tamiris Samdereli, Captain (Offender) - Maxwell Fletcher, Chief Engineer (Offender) - Minerva, Head of Security (Witness) - SAMV Jager (Victim, Witness) Secondary Witnesses: Myself. Time of Incident: Around 2000 to 2100 Real Time: ~2300 Central European Time 28th of September '24 Location of Incident: SCCV Horizon, SAMV Jager, Unknown Sensor Relay - Badlands Nature of Incident: [ ] - Workplace Hazard [ ] - Accident/Injury [ ] - Destruction of Property [ ] - Neglect of Duty [ ] - Harassment [ ] - Assault [x] - Misconduct [x] - Sparking a Diplomatic Incident Overview of the Incident: I got up to the shift rather late, though when I did I heard gunfire from the ships weapons. I inquired on the command channel on what is happening, through yelling on common, the command frequency and hailing I quickly figured out that the Horizon shot at a nearby sensor relay, after which I immediately inquired on what was happening again. It took a while though the Captain informed me about the happenings - with their own words - "They shot at the sensor relay to enforce their claims in the sector" - after asking why exactly they did that - "Well, we have the bigger guns". Firstly I want it duly noted that *The SCCV Horizon is not a warship, or combat vessel of any kind*. The mounted ship weaponry is solely for the protection of the Horizon, as it operates alone in usually unknown and dangerous space. This case was not a usage of protection or defense, but rather a usage of wartime operations and active combat. After a bunch of more talking with some involved, I've gathered some more information: The SAMV Jager, victim of this incident, had crewmembers aboard the sensor relay - the Captain then informed that those crewmembers are to leave immediately due to the Horizon wanting to "scuttle it". The Captain then gave the crew of the SAMV Jager a *very unreasonable timeframe* to evacuate of one to two minutes. The SAMV Jager quickly informed that they had an incident and that crewmembers of their crew were injured and or adrift at the sensor relay and that they needed more time, but would comply. The Captain completely disregarded this and did not give them a different timeframe. After those two minutes, the captain immediately gave orders to shoot at the sensor relay, in complete disregard to whether or not someone was still there or hurt, into the immediate direction of the SAMV Jager. This is a clear breach of the Luna Accord, in that regard alone. This is not only beyond childish but also a very dangerous, diplomatic action, given our relations to the Solarians. This also hurts our continuous attempts at bettering our relations immensely. Submitted Evidence: Unfortunately I was rather late to the shift, communication logs should provide more insight. Would you like to be personally interviewed?: [x] - Yes [ ] - No Did you report it to a Head of Staff or a superior? If so, who? If not, why?: I asked all of the command members on their involvement: Chief Engineer Fletcher was entirely supportive of the Captains actions, and declared so to me. Head of Security Minerva did not support the actions and merely carried out their orders. Actions taken: None, besides writing this report. Additional Notes: None.

FabianK3's Command Application
Loorey replied to FabianK3's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I've only interacted with your CE personally in one round, and that wasn't a lot of interaction, but I spectated quite a few rounds you played in. All-in-all you're doing a good job playing command, though in one round you've been running around with a burst rifle, seemingly hunting after an antagonist. The security manifest was rather thing, and I'm not exactly sure what your intention with the rifle was, but I highly suggest staying far away from security business if you are command and not the Head of Security. It's a fast ticket to trouble, if you're actually involving yourself with the antagonists in terms of fighting them. Though just a bit of a reminder, there's nothing else I saw wrong with the numerous rounds you played. -
Corporate Representatives, the Dystopianing
Loorey replied to Lmwevil's topic in Suggestions & Ideas
I want records to exist only accessible and modifiable by Corporate Representatives/Liaisons (maybe command can view 'em, but definitely not edit them, that should be CorpRep&CCIA only) in regards to the following suggestion; I can see what I can whip up and play around with the idea for a bit, ultimately it would be a way for Representatives to track employee behavior / conduct, people can see their own records and CCIA / Staff can administrate it if there's anything fishy. Maybe it'll even see implementation, who knows... Besides the records part, this is something that has to be done on CCIA (or whoever handles that exactly) side, to actually modify procedure, chain of command or whatever to give them some levels of actual authority. I do not want them to supersede or interfere with command in any way, though they should have their power one way or another. Records are very cool, I'd love them, I am willing to implement them and they'd make for great cross-round cross-rep RP too - but I still stand by the fact that there should be some power too. Player/Whitelist issue; the role is locked for quality control for a reason. If someone misbehaves, they catch administrative action / a whitelist strip. It's quite easy to backtrack. -
Corporate Representatives, the Dystopianing
Loorey replied to Lmwevil's topic in Suggestions & Ideas
You are correct. I could write a bunch of Incident Reports for a lot of things happening, but I reckon a lot of them would be shrugged of, binned or outright lead nowhere. And honestly? Some stuff doesn't need a permanent tick on someone's record, just a wrist slap on-shift. Yes, writing them can be annoying, especially if you write them for every teensy thing happening. Honestly, personally? I do not care. People have to live with the fact that their actions will one day or another indeed have consequences, it's how it goes. But, in the bigger sense, I feel like this is driving a lot of players away from even writing an Incident Report, even if it's much warranted. It's definitely an initial barrier that has to be climbed and can be a big problem for some. My TL;DR: I've previously in all of my posts cut into that; executives need the power to wrist slap and punish someone in-round or alternatively command has to be forced to carry those out if they're warranted, no matter what they personally thing or faxes are properly respected and answered and then get responses for punishment to be carried out. (Yes, CCIA - I know, you do these things, but sorry, I tend to have a feeling that in the past most of my faxes have been ignored without me telling someone to explicitly answer them). -
Corporate Representatives, the Dystopianing
Loorey replied to Lmwevil's topic in Suggestions & Ideas
Simply put: it does. You can argue about the role itself and responsibilities all day around, there is no exact definition and people have the freedom to shift what the "actual job" of their representative is, which makes the role great fun; not just being "boring HR representative #28372". Though, at least in my head, corporate executives sent to the Horizon are put into a special place by the corporation they represent. In any actual, real-life corporation something like this would certainly be an additional task in the task-set of said executive and likely also net them some bonuses; I'd say it nets them more say too, at least only regarding to current shift they choose to "participate" in. Simply put, to cut this out of the bigger quote above: Every executive tends to be infinitely more important than any normal employee no matter what, and that is what is represented on-ship too, currently. The only thing that is not represented is actual power. It's how corporations operate, you can be the best engineer or gunman known, John "Random" Doe from HR/Accounting/whatever that contributes next to nothing of actual value but is in an executive position is more important than you in a big company sense. Period. And that's not just the case in a corporate dystopia, that's the case in the real world. We are talking exclusively about corporate representatives here, not consulars. This is great, and would be great - but without anything forcing something like this upon command/employee/whatever it won't work. That's entirely an ooc/player issue. We don't have to explicitly incorporate them into the chain of command, but there needs to be a point of pressure giving them more ability to act, something that forces a player to listen to them. -
Corporate Representatives, the Dystopianing
Loorey replied to Lmwevil's topic in Suggestions & Ideas
As mentioned by not only myself but @Lmwevil too, they'd be ultimately under Heads of Staff still, though above normal crew members (of their own corporations). A corporate representative should focus on the goals of the conglomerate, but ultimately the ones of their own corporation before what the SCC thinks, it's what they are there for. Obviously if they step way too out of the line, a Head of Staff could tell them off - though they should keep their current "immunities". But: Reps should be able to act with autonomy and push around their employees "within reason" and without interference or having to cry for permissions. -
Corporate Representatives, the Dystopianing
Loorey replied to Lmwevil's topic in Suggestions & Ideas
I am going to jump into this thread right here. I love playing Corporate Representative and the role as a whole is great, RP-wise. It opens up a lot of fun and engaging opportunities in all kinds of directions. I got a bunch of Representative chars, most notably my Idris Rep, and it's gotten me and a bunch of other players into very fun situations here and there. Now I wouldn't post here if I had no issues. What's my issues with the role then? Primarily, it's entirely OOC and a player issue: The Corporate Representative has zero actual authority over anything or anyone in a direct sense, which in itself isn't the issue - the issue is that, players know this from an OOC perspective and opt to not give a fuck about any of their words and that carries over into their IC behavior. Again, I am saying "players" generally here, it's not everyone it's just a majority of people. Why should people care about what a rep has to say? Your character is employee of Corporation X, entirely irrelevant and replaceable in the big picture - just a small cog in the clockwork. At any point in time someone can just say "Well, off you go." and they're sitting on the street. A corporate representative, who not only makes infinitely more money and looks good on paper, but is also likely in a position of power, middle-management kind of power in the corporation to be able to represent it - not all of them, but most. I am not saying people should be "FORCED TO BE LOYAL" but we need to take a few steps into that direction if we want our setting to be more coherent, at least I think so. Corporate Representatives should be represented at least a tad bit in actual chains of authority, they should not be able to make any impactful decisions ship-command wise, though they should be able to influence employees - normal crewmembers - that sit under the corporation they represent. They should be an additional element in the chain of command, not on the same level and definitely below ship command, still acting as advisors into their direction, but seen as a higher authority in the whole picture and get some kind of authority over the normal crew. -
Hi. Let me comment on this to get some things out of the world. This is my primary point and I'll further explain it to you right here for the sake of you understanding my thought process: I'm not containing myself to this round exclusively with the punishment, it was just the final straw that made me decide on the punishment. The punishment resulted out of your behavior as antagonist, normal crew member and ultimately you as a player. Spectating rounds over the past days, I've seen you play as both antagonist and non-antagonist and your behavior is generally what I'd expect to see on lower RP servers, respectfully. One round namely being one where you, as non-antagonist, went around spreading slander on newscasters, leading up to multiple arrests of your characters and escalating up to your character engaging in a fistfight with the captain and ultimately deciding to commit suicide. Your gimmick today which was essentially and mainly disposing of the Security Armory so they cannot do anything against you was also not engaging at all in my eyes. Not only does the first thing I mentioned skim the line of self-antagonism and is very low RP - you've also gotten a warning for this, and that was very recent. Given this warning, and all the ones before that, I decided you should take some time to re-familiarize yourself with our rules. The line of escalation we usually take, if things are not too severe is Note -> Warning -> (Job)ban, as we give the players chances to act on their own behavior too. This is exactly what happened, not only have you received a warning related to antagonism (self-antagonism in that case) a few days ago, you also had one earlier this year. Regardless of Operations existing and having the ability of ordering weapons (which luckily they had, given there was a member of command / ops) this is still very frustrating for security, not engaging in any way or form and just bad sportsmanship - heavily frowned upon every time it happened before. Whether or not that is the case, I am glad if it is, it does not cross out the fact that what you did was - at least in my eyes, not okay at all. Here's, ultimately, my tl;dr: I will stand by my punishment, you deserve it and should re-familiarize yourself with our rules. It's just a 7-day antagonist ban. That is all I have to say, if there's specific questions anyone has that were not answered yet, do not hesitate.

Reporting Personnel: Nebula | Serial: TD77678A0A-S Job Title of Reporting Personnel: Research Director, Stellar Corporate Conglomerate Game ID: cu4-deZB Personnel Involved: - Nebula, myself (Research Director) - Victim - Edevane, Rosenwyn (Captain) - Primary Offender - BUDDY (Ship Intelligence) - Secondary Offender and direct Witness - Jhakal, Siluraar (Head of Security) - Witness (received a direct copy of the Situation Report) - Izli, Alrik (Investigator) - Witness (received a direct copy of the Situation Report) Secondary Witnesses: - Gray, Cody (Security Officer) - Offender* and indirect Witness by involvement - Kelani, Sami (Security Cadet) - Offender* and indirect Witness by involvement - Jang-Uisa (Chief Medical Officer) - Offender and Witness (aware of the usage of the pharmacy) * I merely wish to name these Officers by their involvement in this case, as a formality. They acted on orders of the Captain to carry out the collection of my identification card and arrest, which they are to answer to and I respect this. Time of Incident: Around 2100 Shift Time? Real Time: 6th of August, 2024 / Between 0000-0100 CEST Location of Incident: The Research Director's Office, the Brig / the Brig Holding Cells Nature of Incident: [ ] - Workplace Hazard [ ] - Accident/Injury [ ] - Destruction of Property [ ] - Neglect of Duty [X] - Harassment(?) [ ] - Assault [X] - Misconduct [X] - Illegal Detention, Arrest, or Holding [X] - Exceeding Official Powers Overview of the Incident: Close to the end of the aforementioned ship, I came up from the living quarters and was quickly briefed on the ongoing situation and overall ship status. I've initiated a conversation with the ship's primary Intelligence at the time, that namely being BUDDY - asking them whether or not they were busy, as I wanted to get more information on the current situation. They explicitly, as seen in the PDA conversation with them, told me that they were currently aiding the Captain - after asking the simple question of what they're aiding with, they've given me the rather rogue and unusual reply of it being sensitive, likely having been told by the Captain not to forward any information, as otherwise the Unit would not do such things. I was then told the Captain would tell me in-person, which respectfully never happened. I went to security briefly, talking to some Officers, when the Captain told me that they'll be entering my department as they need something, questioning them about their needs as I was both suspicious and trying to help, they did not reply to me and then rudely dismiss me (see radio server logs for reference, which I could not get my hands on without being in conflict with regulations). Being ordered to leave Interrogation by the Captain, I first hesitated but finally obliged with the order and returned to Research and Development. Upon entering my office after my return, I noticed that my computer has been accessed, the chemical codex specifically was opened up. Prying the Intelligence for information, they told me it was to aid in the production of chemicals, and that the Captain told them not to discuss anything further than that (see: attached PDA log for reference). Given all of this, to gain more clarity, I wanted to inform Conglomerate Central Command, with the exact fax attached to this Incident Report, that the Investigator provided to me after my arrest - as I shredded the original after sending them copies. Upon wanting to send this report, the Captain with two Officers barged into my office, retrieving my ID card, suspending me, holding me in my office while searching for my fax copies - which gladly they did not find - and then further getting me arrested for Sedition after my conversation with the Head of Security (see: attached PDA log for reference). Submitted Evidence: See attached to this Incident Report; - 1x PDA Log - Conversation with Ship Intelligence BUDDY - 1x PDA Log - Conversation with Head of Security Siluraar Jhakal - 1x Fax - Situation Report to Conglomerate Central Command, which the Investigator humbly provided to me for the sake of this Report. - 1x Arrest Warrant for myself, which security humbly provided to me. Would you like to be personally interviewed?: [X] - Yes, if required. [ ] - No Did you report it to a Head of Staff or a superior? If so, who? If not, why?: The Head of Security, though it was the Captain ordering the arrest of myself. Actions taken: None. Additional Notes: As an OOC Note, this was an antagonist round. Though I talked with Bear about this and it's still on the edge on whether or not this will be binned, as the direct antagonist involvement in relation to the actions taken was minimal. Leave it here until that's cleared up, I was told I can submit it anyway for the time being. It's being looked into and a decision is being made on what will happen with it.

Hello Maintainers, This sentence is for you. Before you say no and just entirely dismiss it, read it. Now, we all know that we're kind of strictly driving down the "2 corps per job or department" track, taking command roles from that which do not count as they're directly under the conglomerate. This might turn out to be a very controversial post because people highly dislike change, but Zeng-Hu Pharmaceuticals should be a corp that's playable by machinists, and the entirety of the Zeng-Hu lore page just gives this statement even more foundation. Why? Simply put, Zeng-Hu has two subsidiaries that entirely fit into this branch: one entirely dedicated to cybernetics and cybernetics alone, which is Bishop, and secondly, Jeonshi, which is entirely dedicated to biotechnology. Those both greatly fit the flavors of the Machinist role, and while Zeng-Hu also entirely has their place in science and medicine, Machinist just has strong coverage via their backstory. "But Loorey, you can entirely live those two subsidiaries out in science too!" This is a tough one, and we're playing with the line of being frowned upon or outright bwoinked here for doing anything even close to what a Machinist does as a Scientist, and simply freedom of what you want to roleplay. If I were to become a Bishop or Jeonshi Scientist, I would absolutely be frowned upon, accused of stealing another department's job, or outright bwoinked for whatever reason if I were to do anything close to what a Machinist does, even though that scientist is a role with great freedom in my eyes, and that should not be frowned upon at all. Science has a lot of different flavors they can dip into. This brings me to the little compromise that would be logical if we were staying with "only two corps for each role!" Science should be allowed to do something in those directionsâsomething like a Machinist doesâif they do not put themselves into the foreground and steal the Machinist's job. It's a lot of wasted potential; in my opinion, it would make for a lot of quirky and nice new characters (if people bother making them, I absolutely would) while doing absolutely no damage. Thanks for reading this, if you did not entirely dismiss it after the first sentence. o7

Hi @Jasorn @ClemTheDuck, This took a bit longer; the complaint kind of rolled under the bus. We're sorry for that. We feel like this was a wrong-place, wrong-time kind of situation in your case, Jasorn. Security has already engaged with Shaw and associated you with them too, given your comments on common there. Though, Clem, for the future, please be a bit more mindful with instantly engaging antagonists, unless they are very obviously highly hostile towards you. If there's no more questions, I'll be locking this in a bit.
