I am extremely thankful for this. Hopefully we can see a day where Groot clones are properly curbed as acceptable Diona characters.

So, I try to avoid posting in complaints unless I'm involved, but I think it's worth adding to this that LordRaven001 resigned from the CCIAB Duty Officer Corps prior to this round in question, and that there was some time involved in removing his perms. I believe he had deadmin'd himself during that round.

I've also gotta downvote this, especially for research. Lot of security officers don't know the station directives or our regulations, and the last thing I need is scientists getting arrested for violating "space law" when they're carrying prototypes around. Plus, Science is a high security area, I would argue the Janitor should not have access to basic science, and on old code they didn't. It was Bay that decided they should have access rather than us. There is the RP threat of unauthorized personnel coming in and performing corporate espionage on research. And two last things: in the event of a toxins leak which happens very often, it would be unfortunate to have one of the many chain smoking officers on the hallway to set everything alight. Sure, scientists can all theoretically smoke but they never seem to. And slime outbreaks. While security is usually the force that deals with slime outbreaks, they usually need to be forced to sit, congregate, and strategize on the other side of the locked doors otherwise they'll run in one by one and get slimed. All in all, I just simply don't trust security to use this type of access (to science, I can't speak of other departments as well) appropriately. Edit: Stealing is also a concern. Diamonds, gold, silver. These are things that get left in the hallway for robotics and science to share. I wouldn't put it above some sec officers to scoop up some Bling on their way through.

The other day, my catbeast was speaking to a bunch of others and said he really didn't like another Tajaran on the station because he thought they were gay. Everyone looked at him and said "What's wrong with being gay?" And that's when Arrkady knew the People's Republic he fought for had to serve as the bulwark against the Adhomai Liberation Army degeneracy. Pretty much, most Tajarans on the station are human cultured. On the Skrell part, I have doubts Skrell would let one of the very few young they create every year be raised by untermensch humans, but I would get a more definitive answer from Loow.

[Approved] SirCatnip's Head of Staff Application
Mofo1995 replied to Catnip's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Yup! Go go go, edit for life. -
Xeno heads of staff are allowed to be elevated to acting captain, with preference to humans and skrell if they're available. Xeno acting captains should be watched very closely by any IAAs if they're around. Everyone with a head of staff whitelist has access to the IA job in-game. The last two recruitment waves were about four or five months apart or so, so they're not terribly often. It depends on when the Duty Officer Leader (formally the CCIAIDS) decides to run a recruitment wave. I'm not aware of there being any internships, but if you're interested in being a CCIAA eventually, I recommend trying for a Head whitelist and playing IAA for some time. While this method is not absolutely necessary to learn the procedures required, I mostly learned them over time and through exposure, it can accelerate the process and paint a good picture of what CCIAAs do. Internal Affairs on the station are the eyes and ears on the station of Central Command Internal Affairs. They're CCIA's people on the station, and CCIAAs are their supervisors.

Arrkady laughs loudly at Poslan's pun. "You'rrre killing him with these puns!" after 30 long and awkward seconds of sustained laughter, he abruptly signs off.

Arrkady Tsyrrkunov signs on video chat, behind him is a pink wall with flower patterns and a large shelf of plushies, including a life-sized Officer Sweepsky, a few diona nymphs, and a lizard. "He grrreets frrrom his daughterrr's rrroom, is this thing on? He wants to know if you and Isabella arrre loverrrs, he thinks he can smell it frrrom a verrrst away. Have yourrr parrrents arrrranged a prrroperrr marrrriage?"

[Denied] nursie's tajaran whitelist
Mofo1995 replied to witchbells's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
The catbeast is a commoner Hharar simpleton with a seemingly average life, so already this is better than a lot of the snowflakey Tajarans. I like the whole being a refugee thing, as well as the tenement life. It's nice to see proper homage paid to the lore. What jobs are Alissa going to do? +1 By the way, I'm grateful for the "Arrkitty" nickname for my peasant catbeast. -
Due to the IC in OOC nature of this report, we will not be pursuing an investigation. Locking and Archiving.
-
I would like to point to the rules: I'll talk to more seasoned DOs to see if we can put this in the queue.
-
Theoretically he could have compiled and written out a situation report or shot an emergency message detailing the condition, and so long as he properly described that all heads of staff except him were out of commission and requested one, an ERT might have been sent depending if admins were on and willing. Typically if there are multiple heads of staff on, I make them swipe for it unless they explicitly tell me and explain they cannot. There also is a notice in our DO notices which says something along the lines of "You called for a shuttle with no reports and aren't on code red, what's up?" But generally I've observed mins won't recall the shuttle in that situation unless it's happening early into a round, which this didn't happen in. So, it's iffy, but he could've theoretically summoned an ERT.

I have no idea, or rather I forget how people were cued into the AI other than one Borg attacking someone over an hour earlier. I was in Engineering while the engine was being fixed, and found myself in the hallway doused with hot gas and dying, and the AI actually saved my life moments prior to being slain by two atmosphere techs, Aramir was an atmospheric technician this shift. I went to the bar after licking my wounds with a first aid kit and dealt with radiation through an herbal remedy, but then I saw someone decked out in some crazy armor with an L6 saw just walking down thr hallway. We waved at each other and I complimented their gun and they walked away. But there was certainly a large and real threat on station at time. But here are some other points: 1. The emergency shuttle was called while the engine was being fixed. By the time the atmosphere techs were emittering into the AI core situation, 5 minutes had already passed and the shuttle couldn't be recalled. Nanako and Aramir still kept shouting to recall the shuttle. 2. Graves should have probably called an ERT, it's true. But it wasn't bad roleplay for him to mash the emergency shuttle. His armory had been looted, his fellow heads of staff either dead or heavily equipped and hostile, large engine and AI problems to his knowledge, Arrkady was screaming"I'm Dying!" On comms, chaos. He didn't have much of anything in the way of officers, and so his eyes and ears around the station were also diminished, so from his reserved position(which I laud him for it was nice to have an HoS that didn't charge into combat) he heard a bunch of chaos, and acted according to how he thought he would nest help the situation. We don't always do we should've done and don't always take the optimal proper path, an ERT should've been called but his Intel on the situation not at all unreasonably made the station seem boned. By the time the issues which cause him to call the shuttle were resolved, it was too late too little past the 5 minute mark anyways, and given the shoddy performance of engineering with thr power situation (one of which was an antag) I wouldn't have trusted their diagnosis either. Not only was there a thirty minute power outage midround from the 40 minute mark to about the 1:10 minute mark, but there was full SM crystal delimation not long before these events. Throughout all of this the engineers were saying they had it, even saying they had the DM crystal under control shortly before it blew, but consistently there were engine problems (probably because of the antag). And finally, it was a full round. There were two solid hours of things going on. From an OOC standpoint, he may have messed up on IC procedure on multiple points (such as failing to raise to come level, shuttle instead of ERT etc) but he did not deprive anyone of a full round. The complaints about emergency shuttle calls primarily related to how unbelievably early they were happening. The end game was already here on and on the platter when the shuttle was called. Other than chair RP (which if you know me you know I love it) nothing was cut short or ruined by the shuttle call. The antags already were walking armories, security had already been defeated, they were already trying to make their escapes. The only thing that got denied was a few ghosts spawning in to go murderbone antags. So, considering all this, moderators exist to moderate role-play, and role-play up to and including multiple mistakes on Graves part happened. Everything happened within the confines of roleplay, and so, I think it's wrong to consider it an OOC issue unless you think his head of staff whitelist should be reviewed, which would be a complaint against UM instead of the moderator. This all certainly strikes me as an IC issue. Edit: apologies for all the typos. After a recent update my dictionary got wiped and so autocorrect is running rampant with incorrect corrections.

I've fished up an answer for you. Since they're in the closet, they're valid medical apparel, as nonsensical as that may seem.

CCIAA are Central Command Internal Affairs Agent. Think IAA, but their boss. They're paperpushers who sit back on central and make regulations, investigate incident reports, and handle people's employment contracts. Every few months or so there are "Duty Officer Recruitment Waves." They open up when the resources to train newbies and the demand for more CCIAAs is increased. Duty Officer is an archaic but colloquial term for a CCIAA which is still used. Essentially, where moderators handle OOC problems, CCIAAs generally handle IC problems.

Nurse dresses might be allowed due to the medical nature of the uniform (And they're in the medical storage locker), I don't know for sure on that one, but other skirts and dresses are a no-go.

[Denied] NebulaFlare's Unathi Application
Mofo1995 replied to NebulaFlare's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I've RP'd a lot witch Echo, Karima, and somewhat with DragonSnap. Judging on my experiences with Nebs, I think Unathi is probably the most interesting choice they could've picked, and I'm really interested to see how they'll handle it. But, going beyond what I find interesting, Nebs is a really positive member of the community that I enjoy, and when it comes to good RP they bring it. +1 from me. -
The books in the database are Aurora player submitted though, and not Bay. We would just be wiping the books that Aurorans wrote to... have more books that Aurorans wrote replace them. That said, I'm for a loosening of rules on the maturity content of what we can put in the books. I think 19th Century Russian-tier approach to sexuality where it's implied but never openly stated should be legit.

Cryoing with stamps was eradicated near the tail end of old code thanks to a suggestion I made on the issue, is this not the case anymore on code?
-
All though, ICly, this might be lacking in some sense, if we added one in I would sincerely prefer this. Something to give the HuT antags a way to escape, and even add the RP of the station seeing the prisoner be transferred, or a group antag friend lending a hand.

Verna Marshall is certainly my favorite bartender on the station, but I haven't seen her in awhile. She is missed. And Alexis Sutton is one of the few security officers I see on the manifest and say: "I trust this person to not be a valid-hunter, and yet also to be competant." I had no idea they were played by the same person, so I'd say that's a good showing of your versatility in role-play. I think you would make good use of this whitelist and I look forward to seeing more M'sai around, +1 from me without a doubt.

I wish I was in on these meme, it seems I missed out.

Dr. Ro'Suos is busy recently, and so I will accept this for her. You have been accept to SAMPLe as a standard member in the Science Division under the Research and Development Department, welcome to the League, Dr. Kusanagi. Copied to be held until acceptance for the new Hub. I will urge Dr. Eckstein to either accept this application or provide a reason to deny it, they have been very busy recently as well. In twenty four hours I will accept it on their behalf if no objections are raised.
