We did successfully utilize Hamachi (linked above) as a VPN to run our first simulation aboard the NMS Diphead. Otherwise, we could try that if people wanted, but I think the game is lacking online play support since it's made specifically for use with LAN. But, I could be wrong given my lack of knowledge on networks. Either way, we've run our maiden voyage, if anyone wants to play get ahold of me and we can begin our training missions!

The more the merrier! Today I'm trouble-shooting of ran online service to host a server on. Normally I'd use Evolve, but it seems it's surged in popularity, and its servers are overcrowded.

protopistols are completely gone in newcode. You can't even get one with a chameleon gun.

All righty, I'll PM everyone links, we start whenever everyone is able to play. But since negotiating time is always a pain, let's assume no one has lives and pick this Friday afternoon (GMT-5)?

Finally. This is something I've been wanting for a very long while now. Romanovium would be amazing, I would like it a lot.

In the Orthodox world, the crucifixion of Christ is celebrated as his ultimate triumph over death itself, whereas in the West it is depicted as him suffering immensely for mankind. But Croatia is historically Catholic not Orthodox, so I'unno.

New code has xeno surgery. I made a friend in the process too.

Type (e.g. Planet, Faction, System): A calendar system Founding/Settlement Date (if applicable): 17 March 1497 BCE (Human Time) Pellek, 1 Gli'morr 0, Wak'Tash (Jargon Calendar) Region of Space: Jargon Federation Controlled by (if not a faction): Jargon Federation Other Snapshot information: A calendar of eight months and 280 days. Each month is comprised into seven five day weeks (35 days), and the first four months are one season while the second four months are the second season. For the sake of convenience at the expense of verisimilitude, let's assume the planet's size and planetary rotation, all though undefined, happen to work out to 24 hour days. Additionally, there are extra bits of proposed lore and random stories strewn through here to justify the naming of various months and days, so this is more than just a calendar, it's also all the lore implicit in the calendar. The current date on the calendar in the setting of our game today is Pellek 21 Gli'morr 5159, in the season of Wak'Tash, 1,444,541 days after the calendar's founding (Could be off for a few days, since it was calculated with human leap years being a thing, I'll work on a solution, but we could just chalk it up to the way days drift to calendar inaccuracies.). Long Description: The Jargon Calendar is a different way of reckoning time than the human calendar counterpart. There are two seasons, Wak'Tash (Warm Water) and Pol'Tash (Cool Water). Like the human calendar, each month is highly referential in nature, but over the years certain months have changed names depending on great people in history, however it is largely determined by constellations owing to the rich history of Qeblak, and was assembled and agreed upon by Qeblak swamp shamans (their equivalent to monastics, given the lack of an organized church in Qeblak). The Jargon Calendar was not the first calendar, however it has been accurate enough through the millenia to not warrant replacement. NOTE: there is detail about the discrepancy between north of the equator and south of the equator in the section on Oegopsina, if you look at a map of Qerrbalak on the wiki, most of the Skrell are either on or north of the equator, and so the legends and customs of the months are Northern-biased. SEASONS Wak'Tash Pol'Tash MONTHS Gli'morr Arelesh Bal'mur Oegopsina Vralak Qerr'Wesi Jargon Tup DAYS Pellek Tupsday Humanisday Glek Pesh Further Notes: Tell me what you think! If this gets accepted, I plan on working to add a full calendar of Qeblak holidays and festivals, and their days on this calendar, but I decided not to count the chickens before they hatch.

Allow maintenance drones to go to telecomms and the outposts
Mofo1995 replied to SierraKomodo's topic in Archive
I was there for the one where you went to the outpost! You thought I blew you up, but I don't even think RD's can blow maintenance drones. Was pretty hilarious. -
+1 from me. In addition to being a really fungi, Loow is someone who I could see doing a very good job as a moderator. The application was really well-writ in my opinion, and I'm very confident he would do a tremendous job.

Talen-kai appraoches the girl and draws back his scalie lips in a toothy smile, attempting to look friendly but probably looking rather terrifying given he's a ligger. "Hello, girl, I was wondering if you could tell me about the local hall of the dead."

All Mount and Blade games are thoroughly modded to hell because they're very open to it. Paradox Studios is very open to modders, and even hires them to make expansions such as the Mount and Musket mod team making Napoleonic Wars and the Brytennwald team making Viking Conquest. So, it's more than safe to say there will be plenty of support for a vibrant modding community given their sublime track record with the modding community in the past.

Easily +1 from me. Nursie strikes me as someone with an abundance of magnanimity and a very level-head. Someone able to strike justice and terror into the hearts of chucklefucks without going over the line. OOCly a very pleasant person, and rational too. EDIT: Visual representation of Nur'Sie as a moderator:

I like this an awful lot, it would be cool if my AMI module visually conformed to my Skrellian head. Admittedly, I wear the AMI module anyways and assume that, since it fits to ones body, that it theoretically fit to my head, but it would be nice to have it visualized. The fashion possibilities are endless.

I'll send you the download link of the game that I put up, but alternatively you can purchase a copy off the developer or on steam. If you opt for the download link, the file is a .zip file so you will need 7zip or winrar to extract the files.

So, if anyone's been active in the Discord chat, you would know that I've been trying to get together a group to do Artemis Bridge Simulator, which is a game where you and some other players are all bridge officers aboard a starship and have to complete quests or wage war and keep your ship maintained and well. I'm looking for just a prototypical group right now for some basic work such as figuring out if we can play directly over the internet or possibly need to use something like Evolve or Hamachi to host servers. If Prototyping goes well, the ultimate goal is to make Aurora-themed missions by using a war server, and to hopefully get multiple ships and crews over time. If you already have the game: great! Contact me and we can get to work figuring this out. If not, message me and I can send you a download link that I put up, with complimentary ERP logs with signatures included in the file. Hopefully we'll one day be able to bring RP into the fold as well, once we get the mechanics and balancing down, such as staffing these ships with Aurora crew members for flavor. EDIT: Whoops. I realize there's already a thread for this game, but uh, it's pretty old and would have been necro'd.

It's worth noting that one of the complaints is over misunderstanding about if Bound Vaurca can be antagonists. EDIT: This misunderstanding of a misunderstanding has been rectified. Anyways, I really like Sleepy's characters and have had a ton of fun RPing with him in the past, but I don't know much of anything OOCly about his behavior or what he's like. So, I'll try my best to keep an eye out for that before casting my support.

Talen-kai, getting up from inspecting the cold case crime scene, turns to Bjorn and says, "Ssssoundsss to me like like we sssshould go talk to her. Take me to her, I would like to have a word with her, and possssibly get into the chapel."

Make it so that when people recall the emergency shuttle, there's a log for it. After someone forced everyone to stand around for two hours while they hid somewhere and repeatedly recalled the shuttle, I really think we should have a mechanism for determining who is doing such a thing for future reference with a log.

BYOND Key: Mofo1995 Character name: Shkor-Dyet Dom'Pesh Item name: Male Skrell Purple Head Cloth Why is your character carrying said item to work? Shkor is the current Science Divisonal Chairperson of an organization called SAMPLe, and divisional chairs are encouraged to wear purple headwear to differentiate themselves from the standard members. However, hats cannot fit on his Skrellian head. So, as a symbol of pride in his organization and his position, he wants to wear purple head cloths to match his SAMPLe purple labcoat. He also hopes that by visually demonstrating his position, it can help in his recruitment efforts. Item function(s): The same as male Skrell head cloth, worn on the ears to show up on the head tentacles. Item description: Purple head cloth for male Skrell. Item appearance: The same as the red male skrell head clothes (which is all of them) except purple. Specifically, the same purple as the new purple labcoats. Additional comments: If I knew how to get a picture of the sprite and recolor, I would, but alas I know nothing of these matters.

Talen-kai reels in disgust at the description of the desanguinated priest. "I take it then that all ssscenesss have already been invessstigated. I did not know this wasss a repeat occurrenccce around here. Garvunn, You do what you sssaid. Bjorn, could you take me to the mossst recccent ssscene of crime? Or the priessst?"
