DronzTheWolf Posted April 1, 2019 Author Posted April 1, 2019 The bullpup is fucking strong. 5.56 is far stronger than 7.62 in-game, and the bullpup can be made to fire in bursts. This will be only single-fire and take about three quarters of a second to fire again.
DronzTheWolf Posted June 28, 2019 Author Posted June 28, 2019 (edited) I come to you with an update. The rifle has had some shading changes and been moved to .dmi thanks to the help of @AmoryBlaine mk43.dmi Edited June 28, 2019 by DronzTheWolf

geeves Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 IT'S BACK! https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/7167
DronzTheWolf Posted October 16, 2019 Author Posted October 16, 2019 I am heavily opposed to the rifle being plain horizontal. The only reason I made the icelance that was was because my lack of skill then, all rifles should be diagonal like the merc rifle.
AmoryBlaine Posted October 21, 2019 Posted October 21, 2019 We're going to have to choose between these two. @DronzTheWolf @geeves I'm not sure how, but I've asked some people- a very small sample, mind you- but they've all said wood. Your inputs would be appreciated.
Nantei Posted October 21, 2019 Posted October 21, 2019 The wood definitely looks better. Realistically it'd probably be the metal, but we're going for aesthetics here.
Happy_Fox Posted October 21, 2019 Posted October 21, 2019 Also just because it looks like wood doesn't necessarily mean its actual wood. I can imagine a firearms manufacturer using fake wood to sell a more aesthetically pleasing rifle if such a thing was popular at the time.
JMJ_99 Posted October 21, 2019 Posted October 21, 2019 (edited) I prefer the metal/polymer look but if possible they should all be in game. Guns often come with different furnishings Edited October 21, 2019 by JMJ_99
DronzTheWolf Posted October 21, 2019 Author Posted October 21, 2019 I like wood. Sec Blue was fun, but wood is best if that's no option.

AmoryBlaine Posted December 18, 2019 Posted December 18, 2019 The left samples will be the finalized version.
AmoryBlaine Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 This is what the inhand version and on-back sprites look like for my version on the right.
Brutishcrab51 Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 I like the neo-Galil take on the one with the skeleton stock. It even has a chamber and the saturation of dark blue-ish colors make it look more like a battle rifle. I'd personally prefer that one, but it's just me.
MattAtlas Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 The one on the right looks cool. So the one without the top handle. Really think that should be the sprite used tbqh.
firstact Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 Really prefer the one on the right. More fitting in-setting and imo better aesthetics.
Dark1Star Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 Folding stock looks great! Let's also make it useful and when you fold it, it has more recoil, but can fit in a backpack.
Doc Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 I prefer the right-side, folding stock version as well. It looks physically smaller and slightly flimsier, which I would expect from an undersized-caliber, mass-produced rifle. I also think the stronger outlining and shadowing fit our art style better.
