Library Layout Suggestion

I wanted to offer a suggested layout change for the library where essentially the bookshelves are moved to create a more open space and the 3x1 table is shifted and made into a 2x2 table.

Two things to note however:

  • I don't mind if the top right remains the same so to allow people to curate the space as they wish. While playing Aubrey, I turn it into a coffee/cigar space.
  • The carpet will likely need to be adjusted in this suggestion, although where the carpet should go, I am honestly uncertain. It could stay the same or, the entire carpet set up could be changed.

Suggested changes:

Feel free to drop feedback or ideas in the thread. Also credit to @Cnaym for the shelf layout. I stole it from them eons ago.

Oh! A hot topic huehuehue.

I was thinking to go a lot different with a new layout, but yeah this one is nice. I used it a lot and always enjoyed it.

I'd go for the removal of the carpet tiles because they are broken. Rearranging the bookshelves is easy and quick to do for everyone tbh.

Might post a picture of another settup, but yeah this small adjustment would make it a lot more inviting already, which has always been an issue of the library imho.

Ayyy big +1 to this layout since it makes the library feel 100% comfier and more open. I'd suggest putting the bottom right table more towards the window. I like the carpet for the bookshelves at least but if it causes issues axe it. Overall a good look.

If the librarian can also act as curator shouldn't the library be bigger and also link with Research or something? This is cute, though. I do think it takes away a bit of something, as you can no longer hide behind bookshelves anymore.

I absolutely support Nienna's remap, having seen it in action in a few rounds. It's far, far better than what we have presently - people actually use the library as a gathering place under this design, in my experience with it.

I only ask that the bottom right carpet loses the bottom and right rows of tiles for the sake of aesthetic.

The pattern could then be mirrored for the other table if one desires a unified aesthetic.
