BearSchwanz
BYOND key: BearSchwanz Character names: Klaus Kitzler, Miracle, Cerise Contritum, Keith Peaslee, Guillaume Mol, Peter Nuemann, Ethan Weiss, Aiden Pelesa. How long have you been playing on Aurora?: Since September 2019. Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: I want to make a couple more deadhour command characters to have fun with and teach new players/players learning new roles on an in character level. Why did you come to Aurora?: Reason stays the same as the mod app, Aurora fits my criteria in serving me what I find quality in SS13 and my opinion on why I play ss13 just wouldn't be the same on any other server. Have you read the Aurora wiki on the head roles and qualifications you plan on playing?: Yes. Have you received any administrative actions? And how serious were they? I've got one warning and eight notes. Nothing too serious, the warning was applied to several people for the same thing, although when I started here I was a bit of a shitter which I now evidently regret. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: It's acting out a part of your imagination as a character, whether you're going for something more serious or light hearted there's a lot of fun for your mind in portraying a character that you can shape and mould at your will to whatever you like. Roleplay should be about doing whatever the hell you want in a space where it's possible, but in the context of Aurora, there's a nice line of quality. With that bit of quality control, more well thought out characters and ideas are able to build upon each other and people are able to share their imagination with others to create more sensible and collective stories. It's great to imagine things in general, much better with others. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: To maintain progression of the round and let there be realistic responses from higher ups to different absurdities like antagonists taking over the station or for there to actually be consequences to people's in character actions. It also should outline someone in a department who knows what they're doing to which new players or inexperienced players of a certain department can go to for guidance or learning. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: A large part is actually knowing a good deal of the department you're playing in as people can easily rely on a command member to fill in for other roles or give advise, as well as knowing when to escalate in character actions on the round such as sending out the distress beacon, suspending characters from their job, gaining armoury access or giving permission for different actions in game. I feel I'd easily be able to maintain all the associated responsibilities and ensure I keep a steady environment for roleplay and interaction whilst continuing the round as well as I can, not jumping the gun on antagonists instead giving them a fair chance to drive a story and have their fun. Could you give us the gist of what is currently happening in Tau ceti and how it affected your character and their career? There's turmoil between all the greater nations as there always has been, however affecting nanotrasen much more directly than it has before. The CMO I intend to play isn't gigantically affected asides from being obviously more wary over Tajaran conflicts and random doors opening followed by a faint warble, perhaps taking more drastic actions on related issues. As for the Captain, Sacha is largely worried about the seemingly ever present influence from the Jargon federation and the combat seen on station from the opposing Tajara groups has really put things into perspective for him on how 'close to home' the issues of distant systems really are, adding a lot of stress. What roles do you plan on playing after the application is accepted? CMO and Captain, largely just CMO. Characters you intend to use for command or have created for command. Include the job they will be taking.: Ethwasa Sliver - CMO Sacha Fastvi - Captain How would you rate your own roleplaying?: I wouldn't call it anything fantastic, I like to make light of most things when roleplaying and I love doing more abstract things to see how different characters will react as well as just giving someone something funny or weird to react to making their round a little more interesting. I'm never super detailed with my roleplay but I feel I do okay keeping pace with someone else who is when interacting with them. I'd say I also do a decent job at drastically changing the attitudes of my characters with how they interact with others and make decisions. Do you understand your whitelist is not permanent, and may be stripped following continuous administrative action? Totally. Boink me big time for any stuffups. Have you familiarize yourself with the wiki pages for the command roles? Yup and I'll keep it refreshed in my mind. Extra notes: I bother to teach learner roles : p Edited May 4, 2020 by Shadow Accepted Link to comment

Peppermint
+1! Obviously!?!? No idea why he doesn't have a command whitelist yet, but def deserves one given interesting and varied characters, plus contributing as a moderator anyway. Link to comment
Hepatica
Easy +1 just give him it lol I don't need to sing his praises any one visiting this page knows how good he'll do in the role Link to comment
Shadow
Hello, I have been assigned to your command app. Please try to get a bit more feedback, you can post your command app once per round. Link to comment
niennab
You are an excellent roleplayer and I am certain that you will be able to succeed in your trial. In fact, I'm almost more surprised that you don't have you command app already. +1 Edited April 26, 2020 by niennab Link to comment
Vizendel
I actually really like Klaus, Bear is one of the sec players who don't immediately go for the gat and I think we need more of that, if he ever goes captain or hos the server would be better off for it. +1 Link to comment
VisVirific
Bear is amazing at teaching and orienting new folks into Medical, being so through and easy going that it certainly makes adapting to our system of BrainMed a lot less daunting for folks who aren't used to it, and that's from my primary observations/interactions with his Medical characters. I'm more than certain this excellent behavior also reflects in his Security characters. Plus, his characters are all indeed incredibly different in ways that amaze me how he can easily switch from Mol to Miracle and to Klaus. You have my full support for this application. Good luck with your feedback gathering and (possible) trial! +1 Link to comment
Scheveningen
+1 supportive of this app, for reasons already mentioned above Link to comment
Bear
-1 absolute liar in the title. He doesn't even go here and when he does he is just stimgky and eats crayons. He didnt even list his 17 blue guwan characters. An absolute gnome. Bet he thinks frogs arent even gay. 0/10 moderator. He ganks people on maints and thinks clown masks are contraband. I heard once say admins smell.. With the facts out of the way. The lesser bear is fantastic. He's a solid rp'r and someone who would do just fine in command after he takes a god damn bath. All of his characters are fun to interact with and I've seen him mentor new players time and time again. He has a solid understanding of the auroraverse. An easy +1 Link to comment

Talkarcabbage
Had some roleplay experience with him the round I just played in. He was a cool cmo, and did a good job of putting some personality in his character. He also seemed to know what he was doing fairly well, and overall seemed like he was doing fairly well in the CMO spot. I did hear one thing related to his job delegation that left me vaguely confused (but also, more importantly, acknowledging that he was trying to involve his department in things and delegating tasks to them that he needed done), but I didn't have enough details to make any judgments about it. Something virus related I think involving the biochemist? Link to comment
niennab
Although I haven't had a lot of or direct interactions with your command characters, I have enjoyed what I have seen from them so far. Your CMO is delightful and in the two instances I've seen where Security required the armory opened by you (due to a lack of roles filled), you were on it without issue. +1 Link to comment
tbear13
+1. I've played with his CMO, and he was great as both a character and command player. No complaints from me. Link to comment
Lupo
Bear’s CMO PDA’d my chef asking for “chiccie nuggets” knowing full-well there was no cargo nor chicken aboard the station. this set off a personal adventure arc where my chef had to somehow invent a fake, synthetic chicken meat that had a flavor text non-descript enough to be chicken and an appropriate icon. he also gave me corrosive substances for soy sauce with the proper forms and stayed at the kitchen to chat with me instead of sprinting back to chair RP with medical. 10/10 Command exists to further the RP of their crew, I stan for Sliver. +1 Link to comment
