As you have mentioned in your document you are currently a member of the CCIA as well as a diona deputy, do you think you can manage to do all of these things including being skrell maintainer while not getting burned out too quickly?

How will you balance your work in order to manage the workload of all three?

Thanks for replying Itzal!

So, the Dionae Deputy will likely fall away if I am chosen as the Skrell Maintainer (as per the Lore Team Rules & Regulations). I believe I am capable of maintaining both my role in the CCIA and be a Lore Developers(be it Dionae Deputy or Skrell Maintainer) as I have done since roughly March of this year. I will soon be going on holiday (after a series of exams) so I'll have endless time to work on lore.

Whilst I enjoyed some segments of the Skrell History reworked, there are some that I utterly despise.

The modification of Glorsh; It's ... sad. It went from an intelligence with goals unable to be deciphered by the Skrell, to one that apologized for interuptting a Skrell's day. I do wish to alter, as well as contract, the Glorsh segments of the page so that it reflects the communities loudest calls, for Glorsh to return.  I believe reverting Glorsh's ideology (whilst maintaining some details) would be the best course of action, and make the intelligence less 'synth-sympathetic' and more a reason for why synths should be feared for their capabilities. Yes, synths might be evil but they can also be good.

I whole heartedly agree with @DanseMacabre viewpoint:

Quote

"People can take advantage of AI and make them do bad things, it's people that are the issue." is NOT AT ALL the theme we should want to represent in our lore. It plays far too much into the hand of "the synths are good boys who can do no wrong and never do no wrong." - it should be "AI as an intelligent entity can be evil, just as they can be good. AI is dangerous when it is treated, managed, or handled in the wrong way. It took over the most powerful civilization we know- and can do so again, if we are not careful."

I also have plans to make the History Rework into more digestable segments, as I have attempted to do so here: https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=User:Caelphon/Sandbox/4. I think that the vast majority of the feedback can be utilized into making a new (but old) and more interesting History for the species.

I hope this answers your question @MattAtlas

Oh! the above will also likely include the removal/alteration of Glorsh's ability to manipulate psionics to such a powerful degree. Yes, it should be capable of interacting with Skrell through the Nlom, but I do not believe it should be capable of simply altering reality to its whim.

Essentially, making Glorsh less human and more machine.

Can you be more specific on what aspects you wrote? Like what part of the changes were you responsible for?

Additionally, what steps will you be taking in the future before starting a lore arc to avoid cancelling it when it is in process?

Of course:

I worked on the front page: https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Dionae

I added the visual to the page, and editted it to be less blocky. I added the lore additionsin regards to Dionae organs, and worked alongside @Chada1 to implement the Dionae becomming immobile as they grow older. I added the self-preservation paragraph, and worked on reproduction as one of my first additions. I created psychology, with help from @Zundy in regards to how they can be affected.

The other is the Dionae Clusters page: https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Dionae_Clusters

I worked alongside Zundy to create the the history, as well as the split ideologies. I wrote the entirety of the Dominian Cluster, as well as the subcatergories in which the Dionae are divided into across the Empire. I expanded on both the Wild Ones, and then was assisted by Zundy in regards to the Narrows.

I wrote the Dionae History page: https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Dionae_History
@Yonnimer assisted me in regards to the foundations of the species history.

I wrote the Dionae Relations page: https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Dionae_Relations

Now, onto the second part.

I not only disappointed the playerbase, but myself as well. The lack of adequiet planning lead to the arc to fall somewhat lacklustre, despite the initial success its saw. I will not only increase the planning into the arc, but request assistance from my fellow lore colleagues (which I shouldve done in the first place). I will be 'checking' in with both Loremasters to ensure that it is up to the standards of Aurora, as well as interesting for each and every character to take part in. I never wish to cancel another arc again, and will strive in all that I do to ensure that it meets the requirements (as well as be more well-planned).

I hope this is a satisfactory answer @Aboshedab

Edit: I have this for an example of my planetary lore. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ZJQEnBzNplM4VnJbHiTtX_cw-Vwfd1QlBK-qb-nS9Xk/edit?usp=sharing

Oh sorry! I didn't even see this.

Currently, the re-rework is in internal review (Lore Writers) and I believe that Pan and Jade have done excellent work on it. I've made some suggestions and edits myself, but overall the re-rework looks lovely. If I'm selected I don't plan on changing too much, considering the work already done.
