I started off the round as a traitor XenoArch, and a new one at that, already up against all odds by definition. I took a long shot and decided I was going to strike out hard and fast to find Artifacts I could use against the station, EMP, maybe a Mob Cloner, I didn't know, it was all a gamble. You can see from the log i was frantic, focused, I was all over the place asking favors, getting clearances, trying to clear every level of artifacts.

THREE HOURS LATER

I've done it. Ive grabbed every anomaly there was to grab. Three hours. I had sculpted during this time a gimmick, where I was going to play a naive XA, who was so proud of her discoveries she was going to have a grand reveal. It was perfect. I already had one artifact that was just the perfect dupe, being near it caused gigantic blue letters telling you how happy and euphoric you feel. Bait and switch, all I had to do was get lucky and have SOMETHING in the other Anomalies (4 total found) that I could turn against everyone. I had everything gathered on the construction level, and started moving my finds into XA for study, to figure out what i'm working with. Im moving THE FIRST ARTIFACT. Im pulling it out of the elevator. Moving to Science. In comes Alicia Forest.

She spots my find and is curious. I tell her don't fucking touch, it's dangerous. heres the interaction in its soul crushing and pointless glory. (pastebin lines 2003 - 2113) I edited out irrelevant chat.

and we find out its power is to suck the atmosphere from the area and superheat everything around it. I just want to stress here HOW PERFECT THIS WAS FOR MY GIMMICK, I COULDN'T OF ASKED FOR A BETTER FIND.

Now i'm just standing outside of science, flabbergasted at what just happened. This was no clever dupe, this was no RPed event where Alicia had planned her actions, thought them out, came to a logical conclusion based on circumstances, and decided to touch it. Alicia just decided in that one moment to be a complete fucking goof - asshat, and completely ruins THREE HOURS OF FINGER CROSSING AND FRANTIC DIGGING. THREE. HOURS. Im dumbstruck. Three hours of work, ruined over less than a minute of impulsive herp a derp. I send her two PDA messages.

there was more of a conversation going on between me and the mod, but everything that had happened, the attempts to control the damage, and the conversation with the mod took up so much time that now the round is over, and we both suggest that Ill put a complaint in on the forum because I don't want to hold up the next round. Besides, i'm so frustrated at this point i'm not even getting across clearly to the mod.

Hello, I was the trial mod that taken up your case when you originally ahelped it.

Now the reason I suggested to bring it up on the fourms was that I felt like this type of situation required some database digging to pull out the conversion the two had with the "do not touch" as I was unable to get any speech logs and it required heavily on them.

Secondly, the player in question took the anamolies into anamoly isolation and contained them and that was the bases of my confusion for what happened between the players. Now I believe it should be narrowed down to the oder to not touch it and the player supposedly touching said object plus the reported chuckle fuck attitude they've been reported went into.

I suggest some database digging to make sure that the logs that the OP placed like up as it would not look good towards the player in question.

I found this on line 2021 in the pastebin "Alicia Forest puts the tan engineering beret into the brown webbing vest." So I assume she was some kind of engineer.

The thought of a person reacting as mentioned above (despite being told not to by a specialist in the field) to some strange artifact which causes heat and pressure critical enough for what seems to be instant atmos alerts also working in engineering is...

EDIT: I am fairly certain those paste bin logs are correct with the situation as enough proof until otherwise if the player AchroKnight decides to dispute them, as they will be checked against the database. I have taken a look through them and they do not look good on AchroKnight's side. I wish for their input before I come to a conclusion.

EDIT 2: I decided to contact Alb and have him pull every say and PDA log of the two characters.

The Tan Engineering beret is my character M.A.K.Es custom item, it is possible they had it from when they died earlier that round.

Take a moment and imagine this in real life. A scientist has just brought in some ancient artifacts, and instructed someone not to touch them. The scientist then has to fight off the apparently 7 year old girl who is trying to touch it, and fails. The artifact is touched, to disastrous effect. The engineer is like "AHAHHA TOUCHY TOUCHY THIS IS HILARIOUS AND DANGEROUS AND I WILL IGNORE THE SMART PERSON'S ADVICE AND RUN OFF WITH IT TOUCHY TOUCHY." This is chucklefucking and unbelievable, plain and simple. This character has a history of similar behaviour as well, in regards to the tesla. Forest has issues with authority, to stupid levels, in my opinion.

We literally sent each other the same message at the same time, you said something like "post so we can conclude the round" and i said "i'm just going to do a player report so you can push the next round forward", it wasn't a situation where you were trying to be a dick or anything, and just as a side note SonicGotNuked was a very helpful mod answering my constant pestering for at least three rounds straight. There was no Mod action taken this round solely for the fact that I just decided I wasn't going to bother him anymore directly and just post a player complaint.

The PDAs were experiencing some formatting issues on pastebin for whatever reason, and my messages weren't there at all, but they are accurate, My first message was a very angry all caps "you fucking idiot do you even know what you fucking did" and the second was a regular slightly oocish "dude, you are being a fucking dick seriously"

Not sure what else to say, except just to stress how difficult my tator approach was and i knew it going in, the long shot of finding a set of artifacts to pull it off nicely, the three solid hours of hard work i put into it, jumping through all 4 levels of the station looking for what i needed, and the sheer unadulterated heartbreak of watching one jerk essentially "Honk" everything the fuck up. XenoArch is new to me, I have less than 10 rounds under my belt, and since I started i've been conceptualizing a museum of artifacts, and on my traitor round I found the perfect way to tie it all together.

Just verified the game logs myself. They check out. Since sonic is on trial i will speak to him and get his thoughts before i hand out a judgement. Overall this is pretty despicable behavior.

The player in question has a large quantity of notes, warnings and even a few bans for all around awful behavior. They have had numerous chances to improve their behavior and have not done so. This situation is pretty clear cut grief. There is no reasonable explanation for their actions IC. A permanent ban will be applied to them which they are free to appeal at a later date. I will now consider this matter closed.
