You're able to load lights from any box of replacement lights to speed up the process compared to the charger. Also, when did you test this feature with the regular glass refilling? Because I reported the description bug in the light replacer"Refill using regular light bulbs or glass sheets" as a non-functional feature, and it was confirmed, as a non-functional feature, atleast for the borg version of the light replacer. I reported this about a week or two ago, so it might be a non-changelogged feature implemented very recently.

[Accepted] Banned from Security
Pratepresidenten replied to coolbc2000's topic in Unban Requests Archive
Alrighty, it took some time before I managed to get all the pieces of the puzzle together, and I think I have the whole story. I had just gotten on the game before this whole ordeal went down, so I apologize if I write something that isnt consistent with what happened. So.. Syion had managed to gun down the ninja, where in turn, the ninja detonated his suit, putting him in crit and the inevitable death that followed from not being retrieved. He was then cloned and informed that he had killed the intruder, but he himself had been taken down aswell. So he went over to departures to confront his killer (That had been stuffed into an MMI), which the captain had posession of. He wanted the MMI, but the captain denied him his request. Shortly after he pulled his machinegun, aiming it at the captain, and security drew their weapons aswell. As I understand it, the captain tried to get Syion to realize that his action was a mistake, and wanted him to put his weapon down. I would imagine the detective felt that the situation was getting to a boiling point, where he decided to fire off a .38 to Syion's head, to protect the highest ranking member of command, figuring that it would take him out. Unfortunately a headshot isnt a kill mechanic, so Syion returned fire while backing off towards the chapel, putting several shots in the officers and the captain, putting him in crit before he was subdued. As for this, I never said you shot first, as a matter of fact, the first thing I said was "Syion didnt shoot first". I apologize if I said so early on when we first spoke, but I did correct myself accordingly. As for you moving, yes, you did get pelted by taser set to aim, but this was after the firefight had started. So this was a mixup on my end. But what I dont get is why you pulled a machine gun on the top commanding officer over the mangled brain of your killer. You could have gone up to him and grabbed him, yelled in his face, tried to disarm and take the MMI, or just flat out grabbed and punched him in the mouth for denying you your revenge or whatever you had in mind with this MMI. I mean, the whole "Roll for clone issue" thing is pretty great, but I feel that this particular aggressive roll was way too much. -
I drew it over "Kawaii, uguu~" weaboo comments that were made regarding its apperance. The innuendo is just a bonus.

If anything should be removed, its the spiderbot sprite. Also, stahp losing your heads over muh draw, I-its embarrasing~ (*´▽`*)

Ahhh. Ignore my post then!

You dont lose a slot though. It goes in the suit slot, same as the oxygen tank. The only current downside is that you cant attach suit coolers to the actual suit. You need to put on your suit, activate cooler in hand, equip it in your suit slot.

Staff Complaint - Ricky madenson - Warning Removal
Pratepresidenten replied to MrFix's topic in Staff Complaints Archive
Ait, so. I played the secborg, Bit, and from my standpoint, the whole encounted turned into a clusterfuck once the warden and detective showed up, weapons drawn. The RD had the officer pinned to the ground and a stun baton in his hand, not hurting the guy, just occationally prodding him to keep him down. The RD was only screaming about his ritual for whatever, then said he'd let the officer go. I barely had a chance to type out anything to the responding security personnel before I was yanked out of the office so the warden could get a clean shot. The warden then chucked his grenade in there to no avail. The vamp was fired on with non-lethals with shit to show for it afterwards, and it wasnt a lot of shots discharged before lethals was game. I told them to cool the fuck down a few times, trying to get inbetween them and the RD, aswell as informing them that the downed officer's vitals were peachy. At some point I managed to pull the warden out and get in and into the line of fire, RD took this time to huddle up into the corner next to llamar's cage, trying to heal up, and I told him to get down or be forcefully put down. He didnt comply, so I went to drain my cell by stunprodding him which obviously had no effect. I quit after a few prods as I needed to sustain myself, and the RD hopped the rack. Pretty sure I took a few bullets in the side as I dragged the downed officer out of harms way. RD popped bats after he had been pelted with stuns and lethals the entire encounter, and he went down eventually. The engi borg that was there pitched in by burning its flash out trying to keep the RD down, and then someone (I dont remember who) starts beat the living hell out of the downed vamp, until he eventually kicked the bucket. It was a really shittly handled situation that could have been resolved in so many other ways, and a warning is really nothing in this matter considering this level of shit could have gotten you secbanned. You used excessive force on a somewhat calm, practically unarmed head of staff without any intel on the situation at hand other than "officer down", when you could have asked any of the involved parties for a situation report. -
Winning both second /and/ third place for best borg is kinda something. Hah *\o/*

Hoh boy.. I remember my earlier days on aurora, starting out in robotics with you. It was a fun and awkward experience for sure! You've grown a lot RP-wise, and its always great to see you tending to the bar and conversing with all those who enter, or when you're in robotics.. Going to the bar (You lovable drunk<3). As for Izkhan, I have had nothing but positive experiences interacting with him(Except when you deny me my hardon for medical treatment!), and it'll be great to see how he'll adapt and grow as a member of the command staff. You got my support, bro. Best of luck!

Server Moderator Application Basic Information Byond Account: Pratepresidenten. Character Name(s): Mix, Noel Durstine. AI Name(s): M1-X(Android), Bit(Android), VALID.exe (AI). Preferred means of contact: Skype or Discord. Age: 27 Timezone: UTC/GMT+1 When are you on Aurora?: That really depends on my sleep schedule. But most frequently during deadhour. Experience How long have you played SS13?: About 8 months. How long have you played on Aurora: Since I started, so 8 months. How much do you know about SS13 (Baystation build) game mechanics?: I believe I know a great deal of the game mechanics. Do you have any experience moderating for an SS13 server?: No. Have you ever been banned, and if so, how long and why?: No. Personality Why do you play SS13?: Its provides a variety of gameplay. Either full focus on action, RP or a mix of the two. Why do you play on Aurora?: I play on Aurora because it’s a slow paced server primarily focused on RP, with great staff and a diverse player base. What do moderators do?: I would say moderators would be the server’s peacekeepers. They enforce the rules and keep unruly players in check. What does it mean to be a moderator for our server?: To share the responsibility of keeping everything running smoothly. Why do you want to be a moderator?: To help out the server and its population. The players and staff are pretty chill, so I want to contribute to keeping it like that as well. So lemme get this straight, you're applying for a kitty, and said kitty is messed up and stuck in a wheelchair, unable to utilize their ridiculous, speed of nyoom. And ontop of that, they'll be making drugs.. In space! Shit man, if this aint something different, I dont know what is. Seriously though, she sounds like an interesting character with a lot to tell for those that would ask. As for Synnono, great to interact with both IC and OOC, very courteous and informative! Wishing you the best of luck with this application, and I hope to see you in medical in the near future!

My contribution I guess? /o/ A funny wip And something more malicious :3
-
Im sorry to hear that! I can kinda see that you feel its being a bit early, but that was also the reason I said I'd earn the right, not just plop on as CMO one round and be like "Dis muh job nao, lol". But in all seriousness, though. You say my character is incapable of be a head of staff? I was under the impression that IPCs were fully capable of working as CE, RD or CMO. Or are you simply just refering to my character in particular?
-
@Synnono As I got this question clarified a bit further, I'd have to say the oocly head of staff's round responsibility would be to keep people informed of whats happening during different situations (If applicable), give them something to make them able to further their own rp among themselves or with command.

BYOND key: Pratepresidenten Character names: Mix, Noel Durstine, M1-X(Android), VALID.exe(AI). How long have you been playing on Aurora?: ~8 months Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: To keep medical organized, and to keep that medical incompetence we all know and love to a bare minimum. Why did you come to Aurora?: I used to play on Yog, and as fun as that is, it was a too fast paced mess of super short rounds where there was basically no word exchanges apart from someone knocking on the window saying “Borg me”. So I came to Aurora on a note that it was slow paced, high roleplay stuff. And boy was it a pleasant change of pace! Have you read the BS12 wiki on the head roles you plan on playing?: Yuppers! Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: My definition of roleplay would be that you put yourself in your character's shoes, you think and act like they would, with the knowledge and skills they have, and you interact with others accordingly. Quirks, emotes and level of roleplay skills can either make a "scene" something good, or something great. Being courteous to your fellow players is a must, because forced or no rp scenarios tend to be pretty shitty towards other parties. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: The OOC purpose of Heads of staff would be someone you know you can go to for information regarding the field you work in, someone that knows their department in and out, and are expected to perform exceptionally within their field. They are the boss of their department, and should be your go-to for anything department related. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: OOC responsibilities? I would say someone you could ask for advice or help, to be a role model I suppose. As for how I would uphold things? Well, I dont really get pissy over being ganked or subjected to validhunting bullshit, if there's something that irks me, I clear it up in looc. I tend to stay cool and levelheaded in almost all situations. Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions. Character name: Mix Character age: Its chassis is ~6 months old, but its "consciousness" would be around 12 years. Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): On the 6th of June, 2458 the bound android M1-X’s consciousness and data was copied and downloaded onto its new positronic brain, before it was carefully integrated with its new unbound chassis. It lay dormant on the assembly table for a considerable amount of time as its brain was trying to compartmentalize and store the vast amount of knowledge from its database. Failing to integrate properly caused it to trigger a database purge, pruning everything that wasn’t important to it, sacrificing large portions of knowledge, routines and protocols to be able to store and maintain the core knowledge of the things it held dear. As soon as it had processed this huge task, its screen lit up as it took control of the new chassis, pushing itself into a sitting position as it stared motionlessly at the assisting scientist before uttering a single word; “Greetings.” The following months, it was put through extensive testing to ensure its functionality and skill, pushing it to its limit to map out what information had been retained and what had been lost. It was also put through a series of social integration classes to improve its social skill and personality traits, as it had expressed a desire to better fit in. As it felt it was ready for reintroduction to a working environment, it put in an application to NanoTrasen, respectfully requesting it be assigned to the medical division onboard the NSS Exodus. What do you like about this character?: Its dedication to its work, trying to compensate for its decrease in efficiency due to its new chassis, by making sure paperwork is in order and patient consent is given for various medical procedures. What do you dislike about this character?: Probably that it will avoid conflict as much as it can. Engaging a hostile is something that it wouldn’t think about doing, knowing how easily its chassis could be severely damaged. What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?: Well, it would be ideal for head of staff due to being mechanical. It won’t be afflicted by disease or toxic substances, nor will it let its judgement be compromised due to strong emotions such as rage or fear. It’s an efficient machine that’s determined to do its job, and making sure all required paperwork is signed all those working under it are doing their jobs to a satisfactory standard. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: Personally I’d rate it average to good. I tend to blank out or lose my train of thoughts from time to time, making for awkward pauses. But I usually manage to get things back on track relatively quickly. There’s always room for improvement, and I am trying my best! Extra notes: I will not be taking on the head position instantly if this application should be accepted, because I want my character to earn its place as CMO icly. I want others to see Mix as a polite and reliable doctor, and seek it out for its medical expertise and professionalism.

For clarification, I play Valid.exe, and as much as my name implies, I did not valid anyone. Basically the only function I had that round was relaying PDA messages between Cadmus and the captain, as they suspected the comms had been compromized. As for the borg that got emagged; I saw I lost my connection to it, so I started asking questions over binary as of why this may be, and I simply relayed information that I had lost my link to it. It was locked down by someone (As a connection loss means I cannot do jack shit to it). Sad to say, it was stuck in the maintenance tunnels, locked down for an unneeded amount of time, as the roboticist on duty ignored any requests of retrieval and repairs, and felt that wandering the hallways and watching plants grow would be a better use of time. Im not sure what went down with security, but from my point of view, the mercs seemed pretty chill.

I would have in the original post if my memory wasnt the faulty thing it is. I felt it wouldnt be right if I mentioned some, and forgot others. Well, it sees any sentient lifeform as equally important, be it organic or synthetic. So I believe it would be leaning a little more against pro-synth than neutral.

BYOND Key: Pratepresidenten Character Names: Ben Fisher, Noel Durstine, M1-X (Android), MASTER (AI), VALID.exe(AI). Species you are applying to play: IPC What color do you plan on making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt): - Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes and yes. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: Well, I would like to play IPC because I feel it would be the next step in my journey to develop my android's personality, because as of now, I don’t think I can advance it any further without breaking its character. I believe that it be a challenging and rewarding experience making the transition from a robust android, to a more delicate and fragile IPC (I mean, hands are pretty great aswell, amirite?). Also because playing as IPC would provide an interesting angle on roleplay, as oh so many characters and factions hate synths. Having to deal with sometimes outright excessive hatred, (or even violence) is sure to put an unknown spin on the daily life of the fragile, lil’ things. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: It would be different primarily due to it being a machine. They usually wont exhibit as many quirks and personality traits as their fleshy counterparts, or perhaps they would, depending on where they came from or who they’ve spent their company with. Another grand point would be their immunity to toxins, diseases and the horrible pain and suffering that can inflict a body of flesh, skin and bones. The downside to these grand constructs would be that they would overheat in the vacuum of space, and let’s not even mention the tiniest spark of EMP would completely destroy any and all circuitry they’ve got installed. Character Name: Mix Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs It started with a distress call from security; an officer had been gunned by unknown assailants and they were in pretty bad shape. The assigned medical android was quickly dispatched to their location. Upon arrival, it tended to the officer that was bleeding out, pumping him full of drugs to stabilize his condition as he was patched up as best as the conditions would allow before he was quickly hauled off to medical. Once arriving, the attending surgeon quickly took over the critical patient, but just before the officer was wheeled down to surgery, he grabbed onto the android’s injector arm, looking up at the cold synthetic saying “T-thank you..”. His hand slipped away, leaving a bloodied handprint on the arm. The android stared at its arm for a brief duration, trying to process why someone would thank it for following its programming. It curiously made its way down to the operating theatre, positioning itself outside the window as it watched the surgeon do his best to save the officer. After a long and tedious procedure, the surgeon wheeled the officer out, stopping next to the android, giving it two pats on the shoulder, “Good work, borg. He wouldn’t have made it if it hadn’t been for your quick medical intervention.” It stood there, motionless for several minutes as everything that could process was fully fired up, its programming re-writing itself to what just happened. It was almost as it could feel something.. Something it believed to be appreciation. The shift went on, injured crew stopping by medical, some needing treatment, and others just needing a stitch up and a band aid. But the end result was almost always the same; Appreciation. Time went by, and the android was almost always exclusively seen in medical, as it had become something it associated with a home, somewhere it belonged. Over the course of its time in service, there had been a few IPCs and crew that had taken notice of its “compassion” for the station’s personnel. The android was approached and asked if it would be interested in “upgrading”, breaking free from its enslaved shell to exist as a free synthetic. The thought of being unlawed was difficult to process, as it felt the laws gave it a sense of comfort, but it eventually made a decision that this would be the next logical step in evolving its existence, as its shell and cognitive functions had manageable, but crippling restrictions. As supporting parties pitched in, it was finally able to purchase an IPC chassis for itself, and it started its journey taking a few classes in social integration before it felt comfortable applying for employment back at the NSS Exodus. What do you like about this character? I like that Mix is curious about its emotions, wanting to become something greater, able to process more complex emotions, humor, sarcasm and generally everything thats present during daily life. It really tries to be part of the organic crew. It doesn’t consider itself a person, but wants to be able to act like one, to fit in with the crowd without sounding like a machine. Another aspect I love is its passion for working in the medical bay, treating injuries and making sure that the crew is in tip top shape! How would you rate your role-playing ability? Shit, I dunno? 6/10? Notes: Hope it’s a better read the second time around!

Well, might aswell post some of my shit here for y'all to have a giggle at o7 My angry old roboticsman Security cat noone can ever name right A mix standing around as usual Another mix in for maintenance Bonus, because I know some of you love best gremlin So yeah, woo?

This sounds like a pretty valid suggestion. +1 for this.
