Props for sticking up for the cat miners!

I can get behind this tbh. You're expected to rush out at the sign of injury, and you're kinda met with a massive wall that is your average airlock to X department. And you have to waste precious seconds (or even minutes) waiting for someone to get off their ass, or the AI to un-crash itself. Would be nice to provide them with basic departmental access. And maybe access to the mining refinery?

It seems like a suggestion with good intentions, however. If you have a crashing patient with internal bleeding, you dont have time to spend 4 minutes to fix it. They'll bleed out during this time. Or if you have a patient near death, you dont have the time to wait around for chems to work, because with the most grievous injuries, your patient will most likely die. The increased injury recovery time can be compared to brigtimes. Assault, for example, is a 15 minute sentence. If we were to bump that up to 40-60 minutes? That doesnt make it fun for anyone.

I can see this as a great conversation starter! "Bro, who tf brings a guitar to work?"

Gordon Freeman 2.0: Limited edition crowbar. Seems like a fun thingo

BUMP! Also this. Giving the autoaim a cooldown period of 3-5 seconds between shots would cripple it sufficiently. The aim mechanic isnt meant to be a free hostage move, but its meant to provide you with an instant wall of text to tell the person getting aimed at that they should consider the situation they're in. Sure you can !emote aiming at someone, but not everyone can type 400 wpm, and it is often missed depending on the circumstances. tl;dr: Give the aim mechanic autoaim a 3-5 second cooldown period between shots without dropping the aim, favouring swapping to manual aim and firing.

Alright so.. There's been quite a few threads regarding means of coping with depowered borgs (Automated distress calls, moving really slow etc), an the previously available means of communication when broken/depowered which was the PDA system (Which is currently broken due to a bug). Now, as for my suggestion, as we all know activated positronic units has the capability to talk in binary without having a body. So why would this be any different when in a body? You dont need your shell's cell to broadcast, nor any of the components. So allow positronic units to speak in binary regardless of their current damaged/depowered state (Unless they're beaten to the point where they "die"). *On a sidenote, Im not sure if this applies to circuitry and MMI based borgs. If they have access to binary at all without a shell.

Ive had some experience dealing with tator drones, and they are a fucking nightmare. They crawl under tables, under objects, making them ridiculously hard to catch/attack. And their swipe to kill failsafe only applies to the Captain/engineering. They cannot be killed from the drone control console and they have stationwide access+tools+ventilation system. Im strongly against this idea, beacuse drones would just be annoying/destructive to deal with, and wouldnt provide any meaningful rp on their own.

Lower the Heist readied-player requirement down from 15 to 12

But wouldnt this allow for the heisters to act as hired engineers? Im sure theres interesting gimmicks to be had without sec/command sticking their noses in it. -
Cant really say it is. Taking the meme route around is really cheap way to go about it, and it provides nothing meaningful other than an easy way to kill the AI, especially as anyone without a voidsuit can navigate the area not long after its been breached, as the pocket by the elevators is an enclosed space that doesnt vent atmos. It takes a minute to plow through a reinforced wall if you know the tool order, or you could just get some thermite/explosives and mow one down in 10 seconds. Not to mention, a frontal assault is perfectly viable. Turrets are weak and easily dodgeable.

More lightswitches for individual rooms. There are tons missing. Also put a damn light into the auxiliary storage where medical keeps their death alarm implants. >

Listen, Ive been warned for a legit fuckup aswell. It doesnt sit well, and you feel miserable for a longass time. You made a mistake, they happen. And although Matt was a bit blunt with you, the verbal warning you were given was valid. To quote the rule in question regarding warnings: If you are unsure who you are supposed to protect and who you're supposed to attack, take a second to examine the person in question and attack accordingly. And as for the note you got on the accident, it does not paint you as a douchebag. It is simply a note stating what happened, so we have something should something of the sort happen again as you can see here: https://puu.sh/yLlrd/e0d0fcd3eb.png This doesnt paint you in any bad light. It states that you accidentally killed the wiz, and that you were told to pay more attention in the future. Maybe [mention]Datamatt[/mention] has something to add to your explanation. -
[Resolved] MattAtlas warning complaint
Pratepresidenten replied to PowerThrills's topic in Staff Complaints Archive
Alrighty, Ill be handling this complaint. From what I can discern from the logs here, is that the wiz + their two juggernauts faced off against security. The fight starts up when the other juggernaut initiates, wiz gets pelted by shotgun slugs, and gets trashed in return. Then for some reason, you start attacking your master, for a total of five times. 13 seconds pass, where a whole lot of nothing happens, you attack them three more times. These 8 attacks would have caused significant damage to them. I really dont see how this was a heat of the moment issue. You were converted prior to the immediate firefight, you had time to talk to the wizard and identify their name and outfit. As a juggernaut, cult construct or any other slave role, it is your responsibility to identify and understand who your master is, and follow/protect them to the absolute best of your ability. I can understand why you would feel like shit over fucking up by mistake, and I will admit Matt was a bit short with you in his initial contact, but you must understand that we dont always have the luxury of being nice and sweet to everyone, especially when there's a ton of stuff going on. Now, as for the warning, it was a perfectly valid warning, and you had no reason getting so aggressively defensive over it. You might have felt this interaction as bullying as you were irritated/distressed over the fact that you fucked up, but it was not. He was simply trying to make you understand that this was something that shouldnt be repeated. If we did not address this accident of yours, you wouldnt have known you did anything wrong, right? Accidents happen, learn from them and improve. Do your best, that is all we ask. Unless you have anything to add, I will consider this complaint resolved in 24 hours. -
Tbh you could probably add tactical armor to cargo for a very punishing price to make getting the set a very weighted option. Have a set for one person be orderable for 10-20k. Having this ridiculous price gives tators a reason to buy ops funding (10k), or steal station funds through other means. Just a thought anyway.

I think.. Perhaps a teeny bit less of a lower jaw would do. Also, male taj have sort of snub faces, while females have a slightly elongated muzzle. Overall, good shit

[Resolved] Staff Complaint - MattAtlas
Pratepresidenten replied to SodaPopBob's topic in Staff Complaints Archive
Being present at the time, I didnt really see why you made such a huge fuss out of this. You found something that expanded your knowledge of the universe and all that, and you turned into your religion, where you converted others to your cause to share the broad knowledge that you had been blessed with. Now, you tried sharing with the Captain, but the Loyalty implant wouldnt have any of that, so what you ended up with there was excruciating torture for the Captain, making them see, hear and feel all sorts of horrors to the point where they could reasonably have lost their mind. Now the next bit is pretty simple: You get your ass detained for harming the Captain to medical knows what extent, and you get put in a cell. You then demand your religious doodads, which was now basically branded as monstrisities, pain and misery from the Captain's side, hence ordering their destruction. Now, I really dont see why this would be considered meta, because 1) Your infinite knowledge had the Captain tortured beyond reason. 2) The brig is not a spa and resort, it is punishment for commiting a crime. The Captain was well within their right to deny you your religious trinkets because they are the ultimate authority on station, and you did infact torment said holder of ultimate authority. Although you should be given religious whatnots during normal circumstances, this was anything but. -
Change ID Computer 'Terminated' to 'Suspended'
Pratepresidenten replied to a topic in Completed Projects
I would like to support this aswell, as Ive forgotten to post this about a bazillion times. Replacing this useless termination feature with suspension would make a lot of personnel command happy -
There are a few indicators that you do have brain damage, for example: You will headbutt airlocks, knocking yourself out cold. You will momentarily forget how to use items such as machinery, PDA etc. Random blackouts. Chance to shoot yourself as if you're drunk (unconfirmed). However I do agree that brain damage should be more noticable such as messed up speech (Not like drunk, but.. Missing or jumbled words), and perhaps.. Forced involuntary emotes like drooling or unsyncronized blinking. And of course, an indicator to yourself that you feel sluggish or that something aint right.

[Accepted] sperky7933 unban request
Pratepresidenten replied to sperky7933's topic in Unban Requests Archive
Right then! I will be handling this appeal. Seeing the amount of time passed, There shouldnt be a problem lifting your ban as you've had ample time to consider past mistakes. However, you're expected to follow the rules and be on your best behaviour. So with that, welcome back. Appeal accepted!
