I honestly have zero clue what happened that round during the merc round. I also don't think the mercs had enough time to explain themselves before security came in. It was interesting for my character to be called out and I got assigned a body guard. It was a interesting but the HoS did tell me to lock down science. The power was not fully going through the station so all the blast doors did not close with the HoS telling me to get away from them. I was then just wondering around and went to t-comms when it blew up. That is my side of the story as RD and I don't know what went between security and the mercs.

To add on to this, he most the time has zero reason to make it. This is power gaming because he 8/10 times has zero reason to build the Durand. Reference to earlier posts I made, I think the only reason why he cross jobs robotics and warden is because he wants to power game and valid hunt with a mech and shoot up any antags that show a little threat. It is really frustrating to see people do shit like that, "Just in case shit goes down." I would love BSA to explain his reasoning to why he is making a Durand once mining materials shows up for zero reason. I personally don't care if people cross job with snowflake level cross jobs, but when it is used to justify power gaming it will become a problem that warrants a complaint.

I noticed something about his character for a little of simply watching him. He seems to have a habit when mining is active to just make a Durand for really no reason fully loaded without any of commands knowledge. He throws in the excuse of science, "Directive Four" saying that it will be kept inside the robotics lab but one round he just ran around inside a Durand that he made before knowledge of the mercs hunting the mercs with it fully loaded. I got some positives though. I stopped seeing him break into EVA, Break into the teleporter room and steal the metal, and he followes orders when it comes to it. I still think that full warden and robotics at the age of 39 is still a little much.

I disagree with this because if the station is going full shit show, somehow the captain has access to the bridge or a fax machine somewhere you can contact Central if you try really really hard. If a vampire went and thralled all the crew and ERT for example and you have your disk and sneak into the CE office for example and send a message to central to request with a report you made of the run. If you tell that the hostile turned ERT and thralled them all I don't think central would send more people to help your ass. If captains can not request to blow the station, the nuke disk and terminal in the vault would be useless and just sit there in the map for no reason.

I understand how a bias towards security or some other department can cause massive problems for the station as a whole. I really only acted that way in that round in general and I will explain both OOC and IC stand point. IC: I am doing science and thinking about doing toxins. I find the mercs breaking into science so I run with a borg on to remove all the phoron in the department while I am yelling at command and ECOM to do a lock down. Command finally does a lock down after the mercs do their thing next to science and ECOM bolts every single door so we have no movement through science with command non responsive to my requests to replace the bolt lock down with the bio lock down. Finally an RD comes, the RD is telling me that they are being ignored. Berry comes and asking away for stuff and I do close to what he explained and was also talking to the RD at the same time while they expressed their frustrations in cat talk about security and helped me on my lieing conversation with Berry. OOCly: I really honestly deep down don't have that big of a bias with security as you think. I always co-operate with them when it is reasonable and usually respectfully tell them to go grab someone in power if they want shit because I try to follow directive four. Discord wise, I honestly was doing it jokingly with expressing hate for security that was not really holding any truth behind my words of "Fuck security" OOCly I know full well how fucking hard it can be sometimes to play security. This was the only time I interacted with Berry and came off as a passive aggressive cat with a stick up its ass. I am not throwing out, "Oh I diddu nuffin." I agree with what Berry said and I will work on getting better ICly when it comes with interacting with security. I honestly see no need of this. It used to unlock combat borg right on code red. Now it is changed so you need a second swipe for combat module. You don't really need to enforce a lock/unlock function for code red because all you need to do is order them to get a reset off of combat. If they don't, they are breaking their laws.

I would honestly look at myself if I was in this situation where everyone hates me and goes into cryo, this should not be some thing where your just shrug it off when all of command goes into cryo. This honestly should not be a thing when it comes to the RP of the round with, "Throw the IPC out because fuck IPCs." This is role play and your job as captain is to try and lead the role play and do shit, not go "Dis is what they would do in real life" and go fuck a ninja over and take their suit when they first greet themselves because "They are infiltrating muh station." Yeah, cult is just a shitty game mode. I mean, I get cult all the time and everyone is confused in AOOC about our little gimmick. All I do really during every cult I get is get masons and research the words in 20 minutes. It is also EXTREMELY easy to meta due to every time you draw a ruin, you give yourself a bruises.
