Try using it as self defense, ahelp if you wish to start hunting antags down with it and it will make you pretty valid to shoot you on sight. I never really interacted with Reyn's security characters but what I hear, he does sound kinda validy when it comes down to things, like what Berry explained. It is not my place to judge if it is not, but I would like to point out he does have an IPC white list. IPC security are a little worry and they are horrible if they start valid hunting, they need to learn security very well and be competent role players to allow antags leeway. I feel that is something that needs to be pointed out.

I did a quick glance at the backstory and whatnot and I see no red flags, seen lore points. I was a witness to the events that have unfolded in LOOC, dead chat, and ICly with my janitor character. I am just going to start pointing out some of my red flags. I don't really see how three lines of comm chatter is a laborious monologue. Also you could of done a lot better things then be, "I can't stop the dude so my life is now worthless." It seems you just looked for a possible way to commit suicide. You even stated that you did not want to be part of the round anymore because the admins decided to give the ninja another chance. Your suicide completely filled your job slot and also destroyed your brain so it may as well hurt the station, if you wish to leave the round.. there is cryo. I see why the ninja got a second chance because there was really not any interaction between the Ninja and Wizard who had a name that I would honestly see on TG. (Not trying to insult the wizard) The ninja was hit with a poly morph staff and there is zero counter to it with nothing the ninja was able to do against it. You can't simply claim "This is the consequences of his actions" when you get one antag to shut down another antags round, instantly in 20 min of the round with close to no interaction between them. It seems very much like valid hunting behavior. To handle the situation better, you could of requested other security officers, go to the brig, talk to them about why they are on the station, keep people around you protected, and lastly analyze the threat. Did the ninja shoot off a laser rifle at someone? All I seen him do was use non-lethal with a flashbang and that was really all. Hell, the wizard even tried to stop you from committing suicide by disarming the laser rifle.

Alright, I will post on this my opinions on the pylons (because I am like the only person who uses the damn things anyway) They are Area of Denial, simple as that. They have a 9 view range. I put the pylons in the halls and/or my department entrance for area of denial to that area. Now I am going to explain why people die from them. People rushing them with lasers, not thinking that when they turn blue and start hurting a lot more, they should really back off. People constantly have zero cover from them, so they inch away your health very poorly. People don't get out of the area, I think being shot by a laser beam that caused a blister should be your warning to get the hell away. When people die from them, there is no tactical planning involved as there is currently a ton of things you can use, like tell chemistry to make smoke bombs, etc. I seen once when I did pylons security kill them, they used smoke and other means like shooting out the windows with a laser rifle before someone shoots a gun down the hall, because they can not be moved once activated. You could just push a water tank down the area of that hall. You could just remove the powered shot, but still make them laser proof.

When bay meme came along, it ended up removing a verb from traitor borgs that was called, "Scramble identification codes." This basically removed the ability for traitor borgs actually being unable to traitor due to the fact you can just blow the thing anyway and it is even worse with new map that has two consoles, one in the RD office and the other in the bridge. When a borg gets EMAGED or uses their scramble identification code verb, they should be unlinked and actually need someone with a ion rifle to hunt them down, and not just easy two clicks of a button. Without this verb, traitor borgs can't actually traitor because if they deconstruct one consol, the other one is used, second consol and the spare board is used and maybe RND just printing a new one while it will just serve the traitor borg to be instantly valid. Plus they need to be a engineer to do it, so they can't really fight back.

Also keep in mind that grenades and borgs blowing up is a lot diffrent. If you are standing next to it, you are likely to get the shrapnel. A few tiles away, not so much. A grenade will send shrapnel basically its like of sight. I seen shrapnel travel down the hall infront of the mourge from the grenade blowing up in front of the chapel.

And not everyone is going to play with their sound on. Five seconds is plenty of time to click tab, click escape, what ever and run. If you don't play with sound on and you look at your keyboard constantly while typing, it is you who should deal with the consequences. It is like no sound on games like CS:GO, you have sound to hear footsteps for people sneaking behind you or a general position of the enemy. If you are looking at your keyboard, then it would make sense you miss so and so run across your screen. There is certain consequences of not having your sound on in a game that has sound and uses it to tell you of someone is shooting someone, blowing a borg, etc. How is UM supposed to know these things? No one has a magical eye that sees some dude with his sound off or is looking at his keyboard half the time because he is new to typing. If it is partly based on his sound being off, I find that highly invalid for the reasons stated above. In what way shape or form was this gank? This thing makes me question how much of the round you witnessed that day. The borg litterly killed two people, gave eight people internal bleeding, and severely injured four more. The other borg was traitor also as a medical unit and overdosed people on Bicaridin. Shall we call that gank? IC actions cause IC consequences, the borg was blown up because of this and we attempted to blow the medical borg but we couldn't, so we cornerd it into the CMO office. There already is a thing about that. It is the five second beeping and the message so this entire point is invalid. Multiple times delta have you stated without warning like a borg would instantly blow apart. I find five seconds plenty of time to run the tiles needed in a straight line. The damage the person got implied he was right next to the borg blowing up.
