  1. Application denied as of 05DEC2016, following administrative review. Application locked and archived. For the reasons concerning the denial of this appeal, you may contact myself, or either of our Head Administrators, Garnascus or Itzal/Senpai_Shadow. Best of luck in your future endeavors.
  2. BYOND Key: Serveris6 Character name: Cruz Tsali Item name: Mariziite shroud Why is your character carrying said item to work? Tsali was, for most of their life, a watchman of the guard as well as a devout Sk'akh unathi in the city of Darakath on Moghes. During the latest part of his career there, having only just ended very recently, they were inducted into the Mariziite Order in response to the rising number of spiritual threats posed against the Hegemony. After several brief weeks of serving under High Priest Yizra Unzi both eagerly and zealously, however, he gradually began to perceive the Order as rapidly descending into another political tool, with a once noble agenda corrupted. As such, he quickly retired, and set about leaving Moghes altogether, finding working with Nanotrasen. In keeping with his devout approval of the original concept behind the Mariziite Order - that being, spiritual purity - he however, keeps his vestaments with him, despite no longer being an active officer within their ranks. Item function(s): Worn on the suit slot, over a uniform. Preferrably with having internal storage in the form of two pockets. Item description: A worn duster coat frayed near the bottom, with a dark-hide shoulder cape thrown over the torso bearing the mark of a Mariziite warrior priest. Commonly known as the garb worn by members of the Mariziite Order in the performance of their duties. Item appearance: Worn state Icons How will you use this to better interact with crew and/or stimulate RP? I frequently play Tsali as either security or chaplain, and have already established a reputation as a warrior priest with them. Given that the Mariziite Order was recently created by Jackboot, I may be able to stir up more interest concerning it, and unathi politics as a whole by acting as a former representitive of the Mariziites. At the very least, it would be a good icebreaker into talking to people about current events on Moghes or discussing unathi religion with people. Additional comments: I have the sprites available already. I can send them to Alberyk or whomever ends up taking this, were it to be approved.
  3. Trial moderatorship initiated on 03DEC2016. Trial will remain open for one month, and be submitted for review on 03JAN2017.
  4. Following a lengthy internal discussion with moderators and administration, we have decided to decline this application. If you would like additional details concerning the reasons behind this decision, you are welcome to PM either of our Head Administrators, Garnascus and Itzal, or myself. Thank you for your interest, and do not let this discourage you from trying again in the future.
  5. Sent a PM to your inbox. Please give it a read and provide the instructions within.
  6. Regarding what Skull said above; no. It's had no significant effect on their prevalence. If things go to shit in a security capacity, command staff now almost always unlock combat borgs whenever they raise to red. It's like, they would've gotten them by raising to red before, but now it's just as easy to do an authentication swipe to unlock them.
  7. Withdrawing application at applicant's discretion. Spoke with them at length beforehand. Due to the circumstances behind said real life obligations, I'm willing to suspend the application process. Whenever you feel you're ready to give this another go, simply submit another application. Best of luck in the coming weeks, and hope to hear from you soon!
  8. Will tend to this later today. Apologies for there being no immediate reply. I took a LOA this weekend, but will be home and tending to this, among other issues, within a few hours. Appreciate the patience.
  9. Interesting concept. But then we're going to end up like Europa station. Keep in mind the station is packed to the brim with airtight airlocks, so of there was any kind of flooding in one of these sealed rooms, it could get pretty messy if the issue wasn't checked. Might be interesting to see traitors turn the bridge into a fish tank, though. Might actually give the Skrell having the ability to breathe underwater a mechanical boon as well. Like Skull said though, not sure if it would justify all the work it'd end up taking. (Not to mention mapping in two whole new pipe circuits into the station.)
  10. Use your energy stars and energy net.
  11. Going to have to agree with IJ here. This seems to provide minimal backstory/fluff support to the character, and I seriously doubt you're going to be able to spin much significance off of it ICly, especially with the very cursory information you listed here in the application, which to be honest, looks like you just wrote it down to get the question out of the way. For shit like this, people have often applied for an item that reskins, renames, and adds a unique description to existing items. Like, those mech customization kits that shaft miners used to get. They provided no mechanical advantage - because spawning in with a RIPLEY at round start is definitely something we can't allow - yet it still provided something to individualize the character. If you're really keen on having a unique RPED, perhaps one of these customization kits would be more appropriate. Because there's no way you're getting an RPED from the get-go.
  12. Applicant's interview transcript, posted publicly on the application with the applicant's permission. http://pastebin.com/setiU6rt
  13. Please check your inbox for a PM. Respond to it when able.
  14. Application accepted as of 19OCT16, following a decision made during a staff meeting to push the application through roughly a day early. Very well done during your trial period. Pleasure to have you with us!
  15. Application accepted as per 19OCT16, following a successful trial period. Congratulations, and welcome to the team.
  16. Ban lifted. (Would've expired later today anyway.) Considered resolved. Locking and archiving.
  17. The fact that this character 'defected' to the main government of Ahdomai makes me a little bit leery. You are aware that the PRA controls most of Ahdomai, and is officially recognized as the "tajaran government," so to speak? I mean, they're M'sai - which would be welcome in Republic controlled territories - so what exactly were they defecting from? That's like saying you live in America and defected to the United States of America. It simply doesn't make that much sense. That and several other aspects of your character's backstory - the "child combatant at age 12" make me rather leery towards the character concept as a whole.
  18. Where the hell are you basing your disposition on warrior vaurcae from? That's like saying a security officer should go down suicide bombing people just because they have a security officer title. Vaurcae, like literally every other species in the game, are expected to make rational decisions minimizing loss of limb or life. Lore in this instance is irrelevant. This is a core server rule. Using your character's species as justification for ignoring these simple core rules will not stand. Note how literally no species has "totally willing to throw down a bomb 4 meters in front of them" listed as a racial trait. That would be because it violates server rules. Species are not given set behavioral attitudes that would explicitly encourage them to break rules, because the lore staff that flesh these species out know better than to try something like that. No matter what your race is, you will not be permitted to validhunt.
  19. As a note. I applied the ban listed at the top. Not catnip. Sircatnip applied a perma science jobban. I applied a day ban due to you getting extremely testy in admin PMs.
  20. Yeah, nah. This in itself looks suspicious as all hell on account of the reasons Skull has already outlined. After speaking with the rest of administration as well as the moderator team, I'm more inclined to deny this appeal due to a unanimous staff decision on the matter. Locking and archiving.
  21. Accepted as of 5OCT2016. Welcome aboard!
  22. .. Where did you develop this? Most people don't even live on the Odin. They live on or near Biesel - even New Gibson.
  23. 1. Mechs are not supposed to be on the shuttle. Period. For any reason. 2. Because of item one, the mechatronic sensor was put into play. It is literally a shuttle wall that stops mechs from entering either shuttle airlock. 3. As Garbage stated above, it blocks one of the shuttle airlocks from everyone else. If you have two morons trying to get their mechs onboard, no one can get in. 4. Again, as Garbage pointed out; this is spammy as all fuck. Everytime the mech comes into contact with the sensor, it generates a log. There is no limit to how many times it can run into the sensor. If modmins are trying to wrap up something like EoRg, we don't want all of our PMs/attack logs in our text feed to be washed away.
  24. This seems like a pretty nifty idea, actually. I'd, at the very least, be interested in giving it a trial run. Would this in turn result in less power draw for lighting utilities on APCs?
