Replaces the brown and leather jackets, with new jackets similar to the dept jackets. Tan jacket Black

Sounds cute, reminds me of Woogles from Arthur-- sorta. I can't sprite these, well, not to any capacity I'd be happy with. I might try anyways, though.

I can get behind this if you throw in energy weapons requiring powerpacks, rather than having a set amount of charges before the whole gun is little more than dead weight until you return to the brig, the library or the checkpoint.

How do I make clearer definition gifs

@kyres1 @SleepyWolf I mean, this is what the overall ensemble would look like. Mind you, again, the visor is just a placeholder. I'm not sure what I'd like it to look like yet.
-
There is no belt resprite present, because I already did it, and it's in the game.
-
A new mask. I intend to change the visor, but this is effectively what it'll look like. It's a balaclava combined with a gasmask. No more will your enemies identify you by your hair style and or colour, just by the fashionable tact-wear.
-
Resprite of the standard Mercenary equipment- specifically; Two uniforms, rather than just one. They both can be rolled down, and have their sleeves rolled up. SWAT boots, and gloves are both replaced with grey, riot-esque armor over brown-green boots and gloves. A new heavy vest, plus a new light vest, as well as unpictured helmet. New Syndicate packs.

This item spawns every shift, so. If you're playing librarian, you can grab it every shift. Somewhat a redundant 'custom' item.
-
I'll take a crack at spriting this.

@kyres1 I'd prefer the visors not be solid, with a visible face. Or, if not visible, atleast with a full on mask. That's preference though. I like what you made.
-
If you guys could try and come up with some visuals as well, that'd be cool. I'll work on something feminine, though.
-
Respriting these blah blah blah, you know what's up. Post suggestions or thoughts on what to keep/change about them here.

Current that's a RNG role. Mercenary 'Leader' just means you know the nuke code. Could be a seperate role, maybe? Like if you want to actual try and plan and run stuff, you turn on "Group Coordinator", rather than 'Group Member". Leader suggests authority, but it ought to just be about trying to organize things, and not really an IC "I'm in charge" role.

I am fine with utility knives, I am fine with people having pepperspray. A fair few of you are forgetting that the majority of antags are off-station wearing voidsuits and gasmasks, or on station meaning they can have the same stuff as everyone else. Though, yes, you can effectively fuck a ling with pepperspray alone. So this should be added with changes to certain antags to help balance out the change. I'd also like to make it clear that Security, and that should go for the rest of the station- don't use flashes, because they're useless and literally only blind you slightly, meaning any antag not willing to get fucked over, will not RP out "AH MY EYES" and just keep grabbing at where you just were. They only really serve to deal with machines. So I don't think anyone needs a flash. Pepperspray and utility knives is fine. Though, I'd maybe even want to limit those to people who take time to actually write up records to have the items.

Spider's Command Whitelist Application
AmoryBlaine replied to Spider's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
From what I've seen of Jesse Armstrong he is not a character that should be a HoS. His behavior during a number of rounds has been less that satisfactory. A very well remembered example being charging at mercenaries with a baton, prefacing this action with the line, I'm also not a fan of promoting characters to command. Especially Security characters to HoS or Captain. -
I'll make the box tomorrow.

So, rather than Rev. What if we had a round type focused on controlling a viral outbreak. A select few people start with the virus. It causes coughing and sneezing, maybe hairloss and jitters or something- this affects all races equally. In my current version I've thought up, this virus doesn't actually cause any real issues. It's more like an identifier and means of splitting the crew. The non-infected staff, specifically Medical and Security must focus on quarantining infected personnel. This is as far as I've gotten with the idea, but wanted more input. Really, my main gripe is Revolutionary relies heavily on the "ARE YOU [REVOLUTIONARY] OR [LOYALIST]? Y/N" in order to break the station into two camps, and it's entirely reliant on the creative capabilities and willingness of the crew to engage with whatever the premise for the revolution is- which is why these rounds usually fall flat on their faces. But if there was a somewhat unpredictable means of 'converting' personnel, it'd make it less about being loyal to NT or a revolutionary, and more about wanting to not be executed for hosting a virus that cannot be cured. You don't get to agree to being a rev if it's forced upon you due to circumstance. No more "Nah, rather just sit and watch the round, then complain about how shit Rev is after the round." Anyways. Give ideas and thoughts.

I was for the first chunk of the event, an event character. I cryo'd after the RP died down, and rejoin'd as a visitor. The active Sec team were not doing their jobs. They were leaving equipment laying around that was being stolen and used, leading to one of the abusers to be banned IIRC. They failed to deal with the murder, or the attempted murder. Or the many many drunks. I already said its unreasonable to expect non-event characters to focus on policing the event, when it's designed to be a day off from work for everyone else. Its much easier to just get some volunteers to act alongside the event ICly as security, rather than leave it on people with character investment with the event, to unfocus from the event.

For the future, I'm more than willing to deal with it, even if I can't play Carmichael
-
NT NEEDS to provide a special security team. They can be in plain clothes, with vests, or something. But we cannot expect normal characters in Sec to focus on policing an event's amount of people instead of enjoying the event. I would be willing to be on call for these sorts of events, because as much as this was a great event- the, deadly brawl and drunk and disorderly people numbering in the dozens for a corporate event at a public beach would have us all fired and NT lampooned LOL. So yeah, top tier event, seriously, but it just needs some legit control over the party when things go crazy.
