It's even a thing Burger said he wouldn't do on his unban request, found here: Not complaining about rounds is literally Burger's first 'step he'll be taking'. So, he complained about my malf gimmick and I said something along the lines of 'what, you, complaining about a gimmick?' He said stop, I dropped it. Yesterday, I was in a conversation about some medical nerfs I drafted up forever ago. I linked it on the general discord and mentioned that everyone on the linked post (except Burger, but you know) mostly approved at least in part on the nerf. I said except Burger, but you know, because, well, it was right there. Burger called me a retarded cunt. Tonight, Burger was complaining about the round where I antagged, again. "You do you" is both dismissive 'ok, whatever', and also, really not unwarranted, given his history and promise to stop doing this on his unban request. And he called me a cunt, again. I ahelped, and was told, basically, 'well don't do things that get you called a cunt'. This is completely unacceptable to me. 1. I've had a pleasant tone this entire time. I've dropped things the moment burger's called me a cunt, or called me retarded. I haven't fought. I haven't called HIM any slurs. Two times were in response to him directly criticizing my antag play, one wasn't even criticizing him, it was just mentioning his reaction in a linked post. 2. I have no control over whether a toxic community member who was permabanned for doing exactly this does it again. I think it's ridiculous to tell me 'just don't be called a cunt c:'. He was talking about my antag play directly both times he's done this in ooc, am I not allowed to respond to ANYONE when they comment on my antaggery or is it just Burger? I want two things to come of this complaint. I want Burger's status on this server reevaluated, he is not following the rules he placed for himself to avoid his previous toxic behavior. This is a player that repeatedly used racial slurs, who I guess is now politely sticking to 'cunt' and 'retard' instead of the n word? And I want cnaym to please clarify if he feels I am allowed to respond conversationally to criticism on my gimmicks, and to justify why he feels responding conversationally earns me being called a series of slurs. I personally think it’s boring to play with no stakes.

Here are a few scenarios that have happened in the last couple of months or so. I'm CMO. A detective traitor decides to shoot me point blank in the head with their revolver. They fire six shots, I still haven't collapsed into pain crit. I have to type 'rest' and pretend to stutter to be even a little bit believable. I'm a journalist following security around. I go to examine an officer and notice they have the 'yank out object' option that means they have shrapnel. It's been 30 minutes since they were shot. I ask about it, they tell me 'lol yeah' in looc and keep going about because bullets don't matter. I'm CMO and an officer calls me to come sedate a ninja. He explodes next to us. We both walk away totally fine. I'm cargo tech and I fall. I have internal bleeding, but my internet cuts out. I come back 20 minutes later and I'm still in cargo, and I still have internal bleeding, but my fellow cargo techs have been feeding me vending machine food so I'm fine. I understand no one WANTS to die, but dying gives the game meaning, and we already have cloning if you DO die. I understand antags don't have access to medical and so the odds are stacked against them, and I'm all for ways to make it harder to die as an antag. But it's ridiculous that we're so floaty and invincible these days. We keep making it harder and harder to die as we get upset about dying, but dying SHOULD be upsetting, and it should be possible. I don't even know what exactly to suggest, which is why I'm opening this- I'd like everyone to make suggestions for what we could do to make dying even possible half the time. You should not be able to just ignore shrapnel. Internal bleeding should not be able to be staved off with raisins.

Rats should never have been given an extra HP. They are vermin and should be exterminated.

Also, yeah, I tried to just put myself between us first but kept being repositioned. Logs don’t show when someone is grab intent shoving you.

As I understand it, we had a problem awhile back with unathi swallowing things whole just because they could in very public areas that was cracked down on by the lore team. That’s what I mean. Disregarding several crew members AND security to eat a goat whole in public seems very silly.

BYOND Key: Resilynn Game ID: b3q-apl8 was the round AFTER that round. Player Byond Key/Character name: Ksol Skkos, pretty sure it's Shadow. Staff involved: Paradox, but barely. Reason for complaint: So as a non-antag, a fully armed (with a diamond spear) and armored unathi started meme devouring a goat, which was my pet. Me, and the cargo staff, yelled that it was a pet, he kept going. We tried to get between him and the goat, he started (as a non-antag) picking us up and throwing us over meme eating a goat. Security was called, he ran from security to continue eating a goat. Security had weapons out, he continued eating a goat. Okay, I get it. You want to meme eat a goat. But we still have rules about playing a somewhat believable character, and this unathi ignored screaming crew, got into a physical fight, and got security called, all over wanting to meme eat a goat. It felt MRP at best. Also, from what I understood, we started cracking down on unathi meme eating things. In this case, a goat, which was worth fighting the crew and having security called over. Did you attempt to adminhelp the issue at the time? If so, what was the known action taken by administration/moderation? Yeah, no one took it for the 10 minutes that remained of the round. I ahelped again the next round and Paradox said shadow logged off, to make a complaint. Approximate Date/Time: Like, 20 minutes ago at most.

Denied for now, sorry. We still haven't seen the rewrite Abo asked for, and the current backstory does feel a little lacking and shows, in my opinion, a weak understanding of life in the third incident, for reasons I've already touched on. Feel free to apply again in the future.

I think you have the same problem that makes me not a good candidate for mod: you have a lot of friends and I don’t see you managing to crack down on their behavior- in fact, as a vaurca, I’ve seen you directly participate in kind of memey behavior with your friends. I also have grave concerns because your private discord, named ’metaclique’ has been used to metagame more than once- while on VC there I’ve heard you and your friends coordinate roles and gimmicks, which is explicitly against the rules. I recall you acknowledging it was against the rules, too, but laughing it off- which is fine, I *guess*, it was relatively harmless, uuuntil you’re applying for mod. Also, on this discord channel, I’ve witnessed behaviors that would absolutely be bannable on regular Aurora let slide by- including hate speech and an entire VC rant about how Jews aren’t people, sometimes genocide is warranted, and the holocaust never happened. I believe the rant came from the player of Malcom Reeves. While you’re not really held accountable for what you allow on your private discord, it does give me serious second thoughts about how you would manage your same friends as a mod.

I love it. I’m excited to keep playing on it over the weekend.

You forgot to mention the time I was talking with doc in LOOC and made the comment “security are cavemen”, which you were in LOOC earshot of. You hadn’t even been the offending caveman at the time, and you responded by calling me a bitch and a cunt several times in LOOC, then in ooc, and then receiving a ban, you took to discord to continue calling me a bitch. I didn’t touch you in game. We had almost never interacted before, I didn’t know you, you definitely did not know me, and you called me a cunt multiple times for making an offhand comment about a cadet whipping out a stun baton. Yes, you apologized. And yes, I ignored your apology because you went on to treat other people exactly as poorly. You made the choices that lead to your bans repeatedly. You did the same thing over and over again. You apologized before the perma, too, and then made the same choices. It fucking sucks when you make shitty decisions and you’re held accountable. I know, I’ve been there. But no one owes you an apology for it, and the fact that your original post here seems tinged with self pity deeply concerns me. I am personally scared of men who do this cycle of abuse, apology, sweetheart phase, and more abuse. That is what you have been doing to people in this community, whether you choose to see it or not. I suggest taking accountability and moving on. Feeling really bad you kept doing something incredibly shitty does not mean you didn’t do something shitty.

Hi! Sorry this took a little extra time. We've noticed you've had a couple of notes recently in regards to your Unathi whitelist, specifically that you may have used Unathi mechanics to powergame. I really like your app. I think you gave a lot of thought to the character and the lore around it, and I enjoy that this character seems reasonable and fleshed out. I think you have a lot of potential to play great characters, so I am going to accept this application, but I want to make it very clear that you should be careful to use Skrell mechanics appropriately. Be sure that you understand Federation/ Tau Ceti law in regards to the use of telepathy, especially. With all that in mind, accepted. Welcome to frogland.

HoS is the hardest command role to start in aside from Captain, probably. You're doing great, considering you're so new to it. Be careful of a few of the new HoS pitfalls- work very hard to pay attention to the radio, all frequencies. And don't be afraid to give antags some leeway, generally the more willing you are to give people the benefit of doubt and the more you're willing to cooperate with antag gimmicks (rev, especially), the better those gimmicks go for everyone. You've done okay at that so far, but I still sense you're a little worried you're being a bad HoS if you let antags antag-- loosen the leash just a tiny bit and I think you'll be surprised how well things go.

Sorry it's taken awhile, I've been struggling to come up with questions (and have committed to asking questions for every single app) because overall this is a very strong application. I really like the idea of referencing a culture with high pressure to succeed and what it does to the psyche of a character, I think that's a great angle and by far the strongest point in your app. I would like to see just a tiny bit of feedback from the community, so please advertise this application a little. Now, for questions: Why has Aquuore chosen to work on a space station in spite of what happened to her idol? Why hasn't she chosen to work planetside to avoid another loss? Why has she left the traverse to work in human space, and has she found that the pressure to succeed (and pressure not to fail) is greater or less here? How did she announce her leaving to work in human space? Did she leave family and friends behind? How did she explain her loss to them, if she chose to explain it at all? There are no wrong answers, so no pressure here.

I’ll ask a few questions to help prompt some more background, but before I do I want to clarify that the third incident was largely not some terminator-esque killbots running around reign of terror. Freedom fighters were few and far between, and dissent largely had to be done in hushed voices and extremely careful navigation. After the first year or so, pretty much all of skrell society was forced into compliance, especially after the table. Organized resistance was next to impossible, and any ‘synthetic’ was controlled by Glorsh itself- eyes and ears everywhere, so to speak. So be sure to think carefully about how your froggo would have survived and exactly why he chose to dissent in the first place, given it was almost always a death sentence to do so, and try not to rely on the existence of a group of freedom fighters, ESPECIALLY if it was still in jargon space. So, for questions: How has Rexu adapted to what I assume, given his history, was a lot of isolation followed by immersion in human space? How would you have Rexu express fear in game? Has Rexu attempted to do anything about his infertility? Why or why not? What does this particular froggo do for fun?

I have several hype to see that station again.
