Basically, yes. But as far as I remember the Players Handbook also only covers this relatively rudimentary. But at least it comes with a list of some prices of some important things. What I mean is that it's good to know how much you earn but if you can't out it into perspective on how much I can actually but doesn't help too much. -

Finally. This is needed (again). It would also be great if this would be put into context. What does a car cost, what does a flat cost, what does day-to-day life nessecities like groceries or clothes cost. And so on. It is borderline impossible to roleplay this part of life properly since everyone has a different headcanon. At least that is what it feels like. Returning the old economy page is a good start at least. -

[Feedback] Post-Mortem Borgo Sprite Rework Feedback Thread
KingOfThePing replied to Chada1's topic in Completed Projects
Okay to be fair, there was a misunderstanding. I thought you want to change the Spiderbots, not the Arachnotron borg chassis. So that is a mistake from my part. I guess it can get a touch-up and the animations look good. I just like the small spiderbots (brain+acutators or however they are made) and I think they dont need a change. Also also, I actually didn't know that borgs cannot succumb. I havent played borgs for a long time and had the impression they could do that. Then I change my opinion - there should be the succumb option for borgs, as for everyone else. -
No, no, I would have to re-add them every round, I know that it's not possible to have it persistent. I have/would have it in a saved document. The mechanical page flipping and the "added recipe" thing over time that I would have to do are not connected to each other. Think of it as more of a folder than a classic book, like the ones from the library.

Okay? No need to get hostile? No one needs to sit an hour at a blank screen - everyone can respawn after 20 minutes. -

Why needs there to be a third option? Anyone else is also either in crit or dead until someone heals them. I dont think posibrains just being detachable is something that can just be decided on a whim. Maybe ask the synth loredevs about that before putting any work into it. All in all not a fan of this suggestion, just because "a borg cant just given the choice of sitting in perma or [...] ghost". Don't get hit, don't get in fights -
BYOND Key: KingOfThePing Discord Username: Lanze#0792 Character Name: Azradov Mrakiizar Item Name: "worn journal" Item Function(s): Breaking it down onto the technical level, it is basically a glorified folder. I can put sheets in it and I (and others) can read it. There will be typed out recipes for food items in it, as well as new recipes that will get added over time. The book can also be opened and closed. One is also able to flip pages to different ones to "search" for a recipe. Another feature would be a sort of "index" as it was done by @TheGreyWolf's journal item before to make sorting the recipes by cultures more easily. But what do you expect, they are books. You read them and write in them. Item Description: "A heavily worn journal-like hardcover book. It is filled with lots of handwritten notes, lists and some sketches in between. Both the contents in the book, aswell as the loose pages tucked in between are mostly written in Siik'maas. The front has a strip of tape with the name 'Ahkrraazarjhri Maalhalkasanurran' on it. Why is your character bringing this item to work?: Azradov lives for cooking. He is not only working on the Aurora, he used to get into cooking back on Adhomai, he is also cooking in a friend's little restaurant in D6 and he is part of a cooking enthusiasts/show cooking group, also located in Mendell. During all of this he is in an ever-going exchange with other cooks. Sharing, learning and trying out new recipes from all cultures is what he lives for. The Aurora brings all kinds of people together so he thought he could bring his book to learn recipes from fellow chefs and/or customers who may be requesting something special or unusual. To not forget all of that he writes it down in his book. How did your character obtain this item?: Azradov brought the book with him from Adhomai. His reading and writing may not have been flawless back then, but it was enough to copy recipes from colleagues. When passing the mandatory TCB speech course after coming to Tau Ceti, he also improved his reading and writing of Siik'maas on the side. What value does this item have to your character, and what story does it tell?: To summarize - it is an item with a high personal value. It is not valuable per se, but it basically summarizes his working life and his passion in one. I have not planned out all entries I will copy into it at the beginning of every round (the "core", so to say) but the goal is to explain why, when and how he collected some of his more exotic recipes (e.g. traditional solarian or sinta meals or dominian ones, just to name three examples). The stories I can tell are pretty expansive and it will get only more the longer the item exists. Sprites: Additional Comments: The sprite is done - the "flipping through" variant pages are not entirely done yet, but will be soon. All credit goes to the corporate sekritsanter who I humbly thank again for this.

What exactly is the problem with the spider bots? They look great. -
Marlon Phoenix Deputy Loremaster Application
KingOfThePing replied to Marlon P.'s topic in Developer Applications Archives
I will not read any personal relationship stuff between Marlon and whoever else - but I will say that I think Marlon at least "deserves" (what a stupid word in this context) to be given another chance to either work with the lore team or be a deputy loremaster (again) and work under guidance with every lore team. I am very sure that if there are issues the lore team can voice them in a reasonable timeframe to the appropiate people. I didnt think much of Marlon before he left, but to be fair, I didn't interact with him too much. I saw what he did with the lore, some was good, some was less good. I still think he has passion and is a very good writer. I have talked to him in a discord unaffiliated with Aurora for a bit, as much as timezones allow and I come to the conclusion that the past is the past and people can indeed change. Others have gotten another chance, why is Marlon not allowed one? I think he is already pretty invested in the subject matter that lore is so why hold him back. He has my +1. -
If I could vote for dismissal only once in my entire life, this would be my vote for dismissal

DrFarson - Head Role Application
KingOfThePing replied to Dr. Farson's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I dont have anything to say about this application but to clarify this, because I was playing Mori Takachika - you did not message a CCIA agent ICly (the second I spawned in before I could turn off the messenger btw) but the Chief Legal Director of the Board of Directors, a Chief of Staff of NanoTrasen about a personal and petty problem you faced with station security. This is just nothing that's appropiate. It's not your boss on the Aurora, its not the boss of the boss on the Odin, it's one of the bosses. As I said I dont want to give a +1 or -1 because I havent seen you play at all but this is something that I cannot comprehend why your character would want to do this ICly. edit: Just to visualize, this is your escalation spirale, you are somewhere below the X and on top is Miranda Trasen: -
I think this needs close cooperation with the lore teams. But otherwise I think this is a great suggestion
-
I also very much like this suggestion. But I understand that this is a lot of work for a dev to pick up.

How do you think TCB should be handled with such a system?
