THIS. Throughout this discussion I've always wondered why not just put both of them on the western wall (lobby and EMT office), this design does that very well. That said, I have no idea about the actual interior of the medbay, but the entrance areas and chemistry seem to be placed in a great way.

[1 Dismissal] Remove progression from All antag types
Saudus replied to Bygonehero's topic in Archive
Maybe give the lings and vamps a starting pool of points with the ability to gain more via their specific actions? You keep their ability to snowball but makes them more a bit more interesting from round start? -
OP wrote this about 2 tile wide hallways. But it would probably be alright if the hallways weren't cluttered with items such as chairs, tables and lockers

[1 Dismissal] Remove progression from All antag types
Saudus replied to Bygonehero's topic in Archive
The antags in question are vamps and changelings then? Since all others have a set number of resources to spend on gear/abilities from the start? I.e. they would either start with all unlocked or have a set amount of points to choose abilities with? -
I'm not going to pretend like I understand what all the empty rooms are, but wasn't one of the main gripes the 2 square wide hallways? This version has that too? Also seems like a lot of unnecessary walls for places like the advanced scanners and cryo pods? That said, I really like the basic layout.

I think we've all played that secret round at peak hour where we have loads of players but end up geting ninja/wizard as the game mode. It's almost never any fun. Only a great antag player can make those roles interesting in the first place, but on high pop count there is just way too much pressure on a lone antagonist's shoulders. Similar to how we have a requirement of a minimum amount of players readied up for game modes such as crossfire I suggest having a limit of maximum amount of players readied up too, but for solo antag game modes. Would only be applied to certain game modes when they are selected as part of secret. So Visitors+Ninja+Wizard would have a maximum player cap of for example 20 when selected randomly by the secret rotation. Should not be such a cap on the game modes when specifically selected I think. Thoughts?

+1 That said Wizard mode in general needs a rework. It and Ninja are just really weak game modes. My suggestion would be to, similar to the vampire and changeling game modes, have the antag be part of the regular crew as well. Multiple issues and also potential goodies with that route I know.

Maybe just some kind of behind the scenes code thing that keeps track of who votes for a specific game mode and then doesn't ready up? If it is indeed a problem and admins etc want to potentially take action on it. The same thing happens with paranoia also btw, literally happened a few days ago where it took 3 votes to actually start the game.

Trauma makes sense. And certain jobs could maybe be illiterate and make sense, although for the reasons senpai jackboot takes up it is a bit weird.
-
Love this idea. +1 The heating cabinet would take priority for me however.
-
I hate to pull this card, but you mean that NT hired an illiterate for their flagship station? The idea is really fun, but I already hear the salt and RP realistic char issues.

Another good compromise I feel. Note that they exist, just not the whats and hows. Doesn't actually even need to put it in big, bold letters with it's own section and everything. The single line "Ohh, and there are recipes we haven't listed here. Try to experiment and figure them out!" placed at the very end of the page would be sufficient I think

Seems nice, as long as the targeting system is done well with visual indicators and cycling.

Saw the movie and recognized (and a while later still remember, noticed more when watching but can't remember more) three character as references to various games/tv/movies etc. I am not talking about spoken references and such, just the characters in the simulation (i.e. visual appearance). I am not some guy who knows a lot of pop culture etc, but interested to hear how many you noticed if you saw it. Tracer - from Overwatch Spartans - from Halo Ninja Turtles How many did you see and remember?
-
So how would the fear of holes be removed? Or are they being replaced by being added on?

We are indeed on HRP, and they have explained the RP reasons for their actions, which seem reasonable. The lack of interaction was not by design but a byproduct of luck, a mixed intensity crew response and limited coordination within the team. The RnD thing the person said was I assume you made a report because you want some kind of action taken. If this situation merits action then the only things separating 50%+ of all antag plays from a report is the lack of snags in their plans. It seems like this post is more of a venting of frustration? Which is understandable, the antags also express frustration at how it turned out. But surely not the correct way to vent. (also if I remember correctly the RnD thing wasn't a part of the plan they made, but a backup objective one of the antags thought of and considered trying to steer the rest of the crew into)

I played this round as a completely untouched and quite unaware scientist (Adam Harrow). Whilst it was unfortunate that the round turned out this way, it surely isn't report worthy? I mean, they obviously went in with the plan to do something and expecting to hit snags on the way. Snags fail to appear, muted and slow response from crew. They achieve the first objective, unfortunate but understandable accident happens which kills their bargaining chip. They consolidate. Now crew response goes to 100 with Durands and ERTs. They stand there with a good haul, safe and sound, fully aware of the shitstorm waiting for them if they go back. Of course things end like they do? Are they really under the obligation to suicide against the station for "RP" reasons? Members of sec's RP reasons since they want to feel validated by having a confrontation. They surely are obligated to make an action against the station at the start of the round. But after having achieved that action, must they really keep going until they are dead or limp away?

Making it less of a "research" station seems fair, as it isn't really that at the moment. At the moment I have just assumed that it isn't a station for living on, just for working on. Making it an actual HUB feels like that means people are able and do live on it. That means the station has to be very different in form and function. Making it more of a general purpose NT work station which is continually staffed, which is very new and modern, one of the main stations in the area and accessible to relatively regular people to visit and do business on seems like a good summary/compromise of what people here are saying.

To dispel some fears, couldn't the round number and time be attached to the note? Hence it will be easier to investigate for server staff. Plus it would have the added benefit of weeding out people inappropriate for head of staff position who currently wouldn't be detected. I don't really like the pre-configured options idea, as it basically removes any chance of nuance to the note. Also, if we really are this worried about the repercussions of the notes, then maybe further limit which staff can attach them or make it so that it needs two heads of staff?

What the shit is that? Is that made by kyres1? I can't help but add a +1 to the "repeatedly toes the line of acceptability. ". It feels like Yahir is either an antag or doing something absolutely silly/fucked up. I remember this one round where he and another engineer, a Tajaran, were walking around and assaulting each other with spoons after doing weird dialogues in front of people (technically they gave consent but that doesn't make it not assault IMO).

I would be overjoyed when playing IAA if I got to do one of these cases, would not be a hassle. I would like to make frivolous/obviously wrong notes grounds for some sort of legal punishment. Maybe even grounds for OOC complaints and de-whitelisting.

A great thing to do if you plan to charge for the food in the kitchen/bar is to either: Ask permission from the HoP, if none then the Captain. (saying something about it or part of it will be "going into the station account" (i.e. RP that, you just take all the money and we pretend it's deposited) Or put something in your employment records that you are an independent chef/whatever and that Nanotrasen has outsourced the kitchen to you/your company.

IAA are loyalty implanterd to ensure loyalty to NT. Shells are unlawed synthetics. Doesn't seem to fit.
