don't forget the grilled sprite! anyway, probably a good workaround is to just translate into a different language for the names. we'd also need to rename cavern dwellers.

people told me to make a feedback thread (again, even though i used to do it, and gave up because no one responded) it's 2019 and aurora is still using sprites from 2003. i'm trying to change that. keep in mind i'm not the greatest artist and i'm doing this during my free time. if you've got a sprite that you're unsatisfied with, or you want to be done just post down below or DM me in discord or here, i don't really mind. i cannot stress this enough. see some shit in the PR you don't like? REE at me before it gets pulled. in the meantime, i'll just be spriting random things here and there. don't expect any rhyme or reason, i'm just doing this for fun.

basically K.Rool vs Snake in Smash ultimate lolol

unfortunately it's a very delicate balance if traumas are too hard to cure and annoying, then the entirety of medical and the patients are pissed off if traumas are easier to cure and are less annoying, then only the psychs are mad

id love to sprite that inb4 people use the thing as a beer cooler lolol

*walk up to guy with gun* *guy shoots volley of bullets* *bats volley of bullets back* yeah seems good but seriously, would be nice. but make the chance pretty damn low. metagame intensifies.

just revert it back. make psychologist an RP job again. here's an analogy imagine if all the vending machines got removed, and the only food you could get from the chef but the chef isn't playing, and now you're walking around hungry and angry you yell, "why isn't anyone playing chef?" and then they respond "because when people aren't hungry, they don't RP with me" now replace psychologist with chef, and food with removing mental traumas and you probably can see my point both of them serve as RP jobs. the point of them is to make the mechanics better. it's a lot like whipped cream on ice cream. but if you make them an integral part of the dish, like "oh no, i dont have whipped cream, therefore i can't eat the fucking ice cream" then problems happen. +1.

Good idea, although I feel like random ads would be visually jarring.

You might say, hey, we can already make a chem which induces vomiting or ask the patient to do *vomit, but here's the problem : it requires another player to co-operate. You might not even get a chemist, or the patient is too new to the game to understand the mechanic, making you have to explain it out in LOOC. It's draconian, unnecessary, and not fun for any party. No one wants to sit in a sleeper for 30 minutes watching a toxin slowly metabolise while being pumped full of dylovene.

I love bureaucracy. Painful, tedious and under the feet of a authoritarian regime? Sign me up! +1

i mean, coffee got a huge update how about an update for tea? we've literally got only two teas - iced tea and black tea. honestly, it would be pretty simple, just a few new text descriptions and maybe sprites if anyone's willing first, we've got tea. (black) add milk, get milk tea. add sugar, get sweet tea. some other fun stuff : bubble tea herbal tea

Oh wow, what a useful suggestion. Honestly, do you even have any good reason for keeping suit sensor tracking beacon in the first place? If you had one, i'd be happy to hear it. Anyway, you can't clone without a corpse and half of medical (especially specialist jobs like psychologist and chemistry) Yeah, thanks. I come to my heavy roleplay server to NOT roleplay. How about you play some LRP server where you can enjoy not roleplaying and doing nothing but your job? Would be much more than this server. Douchebag.
-
Yeah, it's not like this is a heavy roleplay server, where the main focus is roleplay. Honestly i'd prefer this over some stupid valid muderbonefest. and by extention, aren't you calling his suggestion a "meme" and something you don't like glorified extended?
-
I'm going to be blunt here : Medical Sensors are absolutely horrible at driving roleplay and actively hinders it. Both for Antags AND Medical. Here's my suggestion : Remove the tracking beacon setting for suit sensors. It literally just boils down to "park your ass infront of the medical sensors for the entire round." If you try to do anything else you get yelled at for not doing your job. And then called back to medical, basically forcing every medical player to AFK in reception until something pops up. Antags suffer as well. You literally can't stealth effectively with some fuckwit Sec officer running around in maint like a goddamn neanderthal and then yelling "HELP MAINT" and getting your location and cover blown immediately. It also enables bad behaviour where players can run into fights and dangerous situations like lemmings without self preservation because Medical is tracking them at all times and they little to no repercussions when they can get patched and fixed in a matter of minutes after their unga bunga. So, here's my suggestion : Tracking implants. There'll be a box in medical and unless you're implanted, you can't be tracked. They'll usually be reserved by high priority crew like Heads of Staff and they'll be in limited supply so not every power hungry officer will get an implant. This will make jobs like EMTs and Paramedics more dynamic - they are going to HAVE to be outside of medical to respond to incidents, and actually do something other than jerking off in the EMT room. (and medical doctors will have room to breathe in reception) Players will actually value their lives and try not to rush autistically into antag fire because they might not get rescued by Medical. Anyway, that's my suggestion. I'd like to actually walk out of medical reception to roleplay for once. Thanks for reading.

Honestly, I believe your points are very valid - not every goddamn thot on the street is beautiful depending on who you talk to. Flavor text is a diving board, something you can bounce RP off. A bad flavortext restricts it.

The Next Big Thing - The Official Write-up Boogaloo

I think this is very interesting. This will make the bulk of the server being security-oriented to engineering-cargo oriented. Engineering will be booming with players at this point. Although, definitely reduction in size of the other departments (science, civillian, medical and definitely security) will definitely hamper most characters. As a medical player, would I be forever confined to be surgically fixing engineering falls, bruises and welder-damaged eyes? And it would likely become basically a building simulator server if we're not careful. How would you combat this? -
The new bar remodel do not have emergency O2 supplies which is pretty important also please add soy sauce to the kitchen pantry
-
I would also like to put my two cents. Everything seems to revolve around Security and Antags these days. Security - Gate off everyone else from the antag. Kill or subdue them as fast as possible and then go about their day. Command - Sit around, let security protect you. Give them access to vault, call the emergency shuttle, dust your hands off and call it a day. Medical- Fix up security / whoever security beats up, fill prescriptions and then do literally nothing else. Science - Invent force gloves and weapons just for security. Good luck trying anything else before the end of the shift. Engineering - Drop whatever you want to do and clean up the mess Security and the Antag has created. Especially breaches. Civilian - Wait for 1 hour before the other departments come in. Wait for another half an hour to cater to the security officers beating each-other off on a job well done. Cargo - Get ignored by security unless they need anything. Give minerals to science, ship off your containers and then sit around because cargo isn't important to Antags. Honestly, Peacetags are a necessary evil. Not every antagonist needs to be a guy with a gun killing people. There also needs to be events that revolves around the other departments. Remember, this is a *SCIENCE* and *MINING* station. Example : A faulty pylon in the gravity generator needs to be replaced! Cargo needs to purchase one and Science and Engineering need to work together to fix it! Maybe some phoron would help, hmm? A slime has evolved way too quickly and is immune to regular attacks! Science and Medical need to synthesize a chemical and a way to dispatch it to kill it! A wealthy Skrellian TV show host has come to the station for a documentary! Civilian and Engineering need to work together to make the station look as nice as possible! Nanotrasen has scheduled a company event to sell phoron and phoron merchandise! All the departments need to work together to sell as much product as possible! Engineering might need to set up a storefront, Cargo might need to hire more miners and Science might need to invent a new way of transporting the phoron! See! Not everything needs security.
