  2. yeah I HEAVILY debated it because it sucked when I tested it with the UI but I thought "people might like the grimdark color" i'll fix in in a jiff, it seems to be that i set the transparency of the screens too high so it kind of blended into the background thanks for the feedback, everyone
  3. Here we go, friends! https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/7384/
  4. I'm pretty sure walking around shoeless makes your footsteps silent IIRC

  6. I'm all for this, only exception being using your headset. You know, like paralyzed neck-down, you still can move your head and stuff but you can't move your arms to the headset button to transmit, to prevent shit like ;HELP MAINT or some shit.
  7. Hot take, any changes will always sound weird, because mechanically most engineering dept. jobs are the same And then we end up having to leave it to what "sounds" or "feels right" Compare to Medical, where alt titles have a genuine difference Like surgeon does surgery, medical intern runs around with a thumb up their ass, and medical doctor watches sensor with a thumb up their ass.
  8. People who use both ? and ? on a Pull Request they don't like : Bonus : completely no feedback at all
  9. alright I guess so. However we may need to add new bartender locker, other than that easy to implement
  10. technically we can just attribute it that beepsky is just a shitty robot Ic-ly
  11. lmao there's a follow feature here for some reason

  12. Well then, let's just encourage that. Make it like, chef and bartender are the same job but different job titles. How does "caterer" sound?
  13. How about we just give chef and bartender access to each other's spaces? You can change uniforms on the fly, and don't have to step on each other's toes as much since you've got twice the department to go around.
  14. Naturally, I'd agree. That some of these features suck dick and would be better off cordoned off by admin powers instead of being a part of actual gameplay. However, the improve don't remove people are just a result of the vocal minority/silent majority. Because in the end, we aren't like Bay or /tg/ where gameplay is everything : we're a little more HRP than other HRP servers, and our culture is that we usually don't need to mechanically enforce things - we just find a way around it (cryo-ing immediately after realising its cult/ling) or just RP it out, as usual. So we've reached a status quo - where new, profound, game-changing updates are yelled at to be less offensive or something because the vocal minority will kick up a fuss (whereas the average player will just ignore it) (e.g. the tattoo trampstamp controversy, funny joke descriptions) like some kind of nanny state. Honestly, we should trust and most of all, RESPECT our playerbase for being mature and being able to handle these kinds of things well.(although I agree, pregnant women should NOT be on station - that's an extreme, but a raunchy tattoo isn't going to cause any moral dilemmas) Just give players the liberty to roleplay it out. This entire argument is just about what's best for the playerbase without even testing or asking about it like some overconcerned mother.
  15. speaking of which, my RFD crossbow hasn't been added to the wiki...*cough cough*
  16. For me, the reasons I joined SS13 was entirely to dick around like a lunatic and shitpost, but eventually I settled on it being my place to RP. My first server was Paradise. I've only played ten minutes there, 1000ms ping in tow, and dropped SS13 entirely. Now a series of completely unintended events lined up for me to eventually pick up SS13 again. After the fallout of my neverending trek to find good RP (which was a long one, from Roblox RP, Minecraft RP, and Starbound RP) and also me looking for a new game to play, Space Station 13 was like, the perfect venn-diagram of what I wanted. So in the afternoon - basically deadhour, a baldie itching to help people was born. (Perfect enviroment to learn about the game in basically a private server) I'd read the wiki dutifully, and after levering tiles of the floor like a dimwit and getting told by an officer to put my ID card on (probably my first experience with RP here) My first character was born. James Hanford, Chef.
  17. Rats aren't supposed to br treated as such. They're a glorified ghostrole, and should be as unintrusive as possible. And thusly be as easy to deal with since they aren't liable to consequences in interuppting actual RP.
  18. Lmao just put gum and suckers in snack machines like sane people
  19. testing. testing. this forum has so many features like cupholders on a modern van

  20. hey no fair i dont get a fancy one +1
  21. Even so : It's probably better to plan for the future before some dude requests a color and then you have to painfully open an entirely new PR and go through the process again. Just because it isn't needed RIGHT NOW doesn't mean it'll be useless in the future. Doesn't hurt to be ready for the future
  22. I'm pretty sure it's just shitcode. I'm certain that once they worked exactly a lot like mining lanterns, but turning them into helmets fucked it up.
  23. Just do a regular ROYGBIV color spread (Plus white and black) (Indigo and violet can be combined to purple)
  24. https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/7057 Already picked up by Matt, pray for him
