Amory, great sprites there. However you've got to try and contrast the outfits with black backgrounds (there's a button which switches the background to black in dreammaker) as well as space turf I can see the influence from Bay and CM, I definitely like your style. Honestly I feel like the "desaturated" thing is a meme at this point, however the point still stands. We are NOT bay/CM also lol i'm pretty sure its a jumpsuit pants ARE gonna get attached along with a bullet vest and an overwear which is normal

CHAPTER 2 : KNOW THY TOOLS these are some of the basic functions now for the two most important tools to save you time

CHAPTER 1 : what the FUCK is a .DMI Alright, so you want to be a spriter? Well, before you even begin to make a thing, you'll need a few programs and learn a few terms first : getsharex.com - ShareX. You'll be making a lot of screenshots, so use this. It's free and open-source, and doesn't go through any third party bullshit so you can upload straight to Discord. Dream-maker - Byond stuff maker program. To access, go to BYOND in your desktop. Right-click, and click on go to file location. You'll find dreammaker.exe there. Open it, and go to File in the top left corner. Click New to make new files. We'll be mostly dealing in .dmi's. .DMI - Dream-maker Image. What we'll be using for our sprites. CHAPTER 1.1 : Ere' we go, Ere' we go, Ere' we go! Alright, now with all these pre-requisites out of the way, now we can begin actually making...a sprite. Open up dreammaker.exe (you'll find the instructions to get there in CH 1.) After you open it up, it should look like this. Then all you gotta do is move on up to FILE and then click NEW ENVIROMENT. Name it whatever, place it wherever. <----- pretty important please look at this A prompt like this should come up. Select .dmi, press OK and we can move on. It should look like this now. (not including informative ms-paint information) ( If it doesn't look like this, you probably need to update BYOND and/or DreamMaker. ) After clicking that, well, you should end up here. After making your sprite and pressing the back button, try right clicking! The buttons are kinda self-explanatory. Test them out! Alright, so we've learnt how to navigate BYOND DREAMMAKER in this chapter. Next will be getting to know your tools. Until then! ( also, plugging my super secret spriter club. ...also apparently you cant see the antenna from the side anyways cause the hair's above for some reason

also the special HUDs get antennae cause they look cool cause, you know, you can't magic special HUD powers without some techno gizmo

Well, if there's one thing I'd like to say, I think this is a great sprite, and a great storytelling element. IMHO, there are already other AIs with ANIME CATGIRL PERSONAS. This is basically nothing in regards to immersion breaking at all. +1

Yeah, I'd rather see our mechs look more like BIG ASS FUCKING TANKS than just...big machine people with a smaller person inside. Mechs are equipment, and should look that way. Hell, I'd love having like just a key or something as ignition. Imagine how badass starting up your fucking mech would be, sliding the key into the ignition while the machine whirrs to life, euphoria only experienced by mostly German crane operators I'd like to golly and gawk all day, but honestly, if push comes to shove leave the crazy-ass swords to the antags. ...wait, what am I talking about? This was a long time coming. Anyway, as the only active spriter, or at least, not spriting clothing items for the 100th time, I feel that this isn't a one-man job. (which isn't, but here we are now.) So I've decided to recruit some underlings to sprite alongside me. Basically, if you feel like you meet these criteria, you can probably be a spriter and PM me at alsoandanswer#6999 on Discord. 1. Are willing to throw out (mostly) everything you know about conventional art/literally know nothing about art at all 2. Handle constructive criticism. (I know it's stupid, but still.) I won't be holding back. We've got an art direction to follow. 3. Willing to learn Dreammaker and Github (will be taught by me, step-by-step.) If you feel like you are ready to face the challenge, sling me a PM on the Discord, and I'll hand you your initiation task. Feel free to bring along whatever you've made in the past too. Well, I'd agree with Geeves here, on the profile picture/avatars part, honestly I'd give the most leeway here cause they're the first and most identifying thing about a user.

You know, let's make holy water a lot more powerful, ala reagent-style, it neutralises any narsieblood or corruption or what have you, a lot like medicine for corruption. Psychologist can also play an anti-cultist role, albeit a bit more "sciency" through crystal therapy and whatnot. Also smacking people with bibles should still be a thing.
