+1, but only if the bar counter is made larger to fit the second slot, otherwise it would just get crowded.

Actually, I don't stare at OOC very often, so if you did acknowledge it, sorry. But the issue still remains, and I think it shows bad attitude for someone applying to be a head. The fact that you think bringing up a issue with your communication skills and lack of explanation is entitlement simply because I happened to play sec that round is sad. Especially when you didn't consider that we didn't know the captain had a plan in the first place. From our POV you were just telling the Det to go to telecomms over and over again for no reason. So do not mistake that for entitlement as a sec member.
-
Also, you never said anything about the mistake over radio, and I saw no real apologies in OOC. When a sec member asks you to explain your reasoning for asking them to Telecomms over the sec radio, you are expected to reply, all you did was repeat the same request repeatedly until the Captain explained it, 5 minutes later.
-
And that hostility is precisely why I don't think you are ready for a Head whitelist yet. This feedback is meant to be constructive, I did not throw any insults at you or anything like that, I brought up an Issue that you should look at and think about so that it doesn't happen again. You taking that feedback and insulting me for it is a very bad sign, as a Head that is incapable of taking feedback is destined to be a bad head, period.

I have a pretty major concern. In the round that just happened you were Binary, the AI. You let the Librarian into your core then failed to tell us or even why you let them in in the first place which nearly got them brigged for Infiltration. You also kept requesting people go to Telcomms with no reason even when asked. You even said this at round end I do not feel comfortable with you in a command position if you are going to pull this crap because "It's funny." -1 for now.

I have not personally seen any of those characters, so I cannot really say anything about your RP skills, but I do know a good amount of lore. Your backstory shows a pretty good understanding of the lore, and also shows that you read in depth about Xakt and Zo'ra in general with the bit about the TCFL, most of the backstory is pretty solid. But there are a few things I have slight concerns about. I know you used the word similar for a reason, but I would like to clarify that Vaurca are not a hivemind. Hivemind implies they are thinking as one being, with no individualism or self thought. But the fact is that Unbound are their own selves, having opinions and attitudes towards certain things that might differ from individual to individual. They may have a biological loyalty to their hive and Queen, but that does not mean they wont get into fights. Arguments and quarrel between broods is somewhat common, with disagreements happening all the time. For example, Athvur outed Zoleth for creating hit squads targeting Tajaran gang members to Biesel, leading to a bit of a degradation in relations, she did this so that she could secure more resources and reason to reform the TCFL. They are both part of the same hive, the Zo'ra. A Hivemind would not do this sort of thing as they would be the same being essentially, it would make no sense for them to snitch on themself. The other main difference is that the Vaurca have a social Hierarchy, which would not exist within a hivemind. On top of that, If the Vaurca were a hivemind, there would be no point in a Unbound cast either, as they would all follow orders to the letter and likely be designed for a specific purpose regardless. This is false, Vaurca very much have pain receptors and feel most sensations the same as humans. In fact, Xetl's brood has a focus on sensations, one of which being Pain. Those are the two slight concerns right off the bat ( The pain one was really just for clarification). I also have a few questions for you regarding Chitx. 1) How has Chitx conformed to being around aliens? You stated that she was almost always surrounded by bound, so there would likely be a social deficiency. Being thrust into TCFL, which is full of aliens and thinking, talking, feeling creatures in general would be a big shift in scenery, so I would like to know how Chitx is handling it. 2) What does Chitx think about Getmore corp? The massive processing plants would be pretty hard to notice on Luthien. And I Imagine Chitx would eventually run into them at some point. After those two questions are answered this will probably be a +1 from me. -
Roostercat's Vaurca Lore Deputy App

My bad. It did not specify on the Zoleth page, so I had thought it was left vague on purpose. -

I usually never have problems with Francois, they are a swell roleplayer. I would like to see how they do with a trial. +1 -
If anyone doesn't get that reference I feel bad for them.

Ckey/BYOND Username: Roostercat12 Position Being Applied For: (Species Maintainer, Wiki Maintainer, Lore Developer, Deputy Lore developer): Vaurca Lore Deputy Past Experiences/Knowledge: Literally none. This will be my first time developing anything, ever. Except for that part about Shapers on the Wiki. Examples of Past Work: I recently made a bit about Preimminent Shapers that was added to the wiki. Additional Comments: This is the part where I explain what the hell I plan on doing with the Vaurca, if given permission by Jam. Zoleth hit squads: For those who do not know, Zoleth, the warrior lesser queen of the Zo'ra, once ordered the formation of hit squads to take out various crime lords throughout Biesel. This worked, ending a particularly nasty gang war. The end result of this is basically that no-one either cared enough or wanted to press charges onto Zoleth... so nothing happened. I feel like this can be expanded on more. My idea is simple; The wiki states that another fellow Queen revealed that Zoleth made the hit squads, I believe this could be made to create some rivalries that would hopefully end up in game, This could be a Queen from another hive, worsening inter-hive relations, or the even juicier concept is to make it another Zo'ra Queen, Causing conflict between 2 queens of the same hive. the 2 most likely candidates for the Queen that revealed all IMO would be Scay or Xakt. Asteroid farms: There are a lot of economic problems with the Vaurca. One of these is food. Many broods try to help with the food problem in any way really possible, but most seem to just try mass agriculture. The thing is, K'ois can grow pretty much anywhere other than places that are overly wet, like swamps or oceans. Thus my idea is a farm that is exclusively inside of an asteroid field around Pid, Tret's one natural satellite. This means of course that Leto, the brood that houses the general Ka population of K'lax, would be the brood to undertake this venture. The idea is that the Ka hurl K'ois spores onto the various asteroids, with Bound workers checking up on them every so often, then harvesting them when they are ready. This means that K'ois could be mass farmed without risk of it spreading too far and causing an outbreak of Mycosis, and that famines could go onto the road to recovery. I chose Leto for a number of reasons. The Chief among them being that I feel the K'lax is the least interesting hive of the big three. I want to give them more things to look at, more lore mechanics that could make them more interesting to play, as I believe the lack of interesting things is why most people play either Zo'ra or C'thur. And this is step one to possibly solving that issue. Changing some things about Vedhra: Speaking of the K'lax, I would like to change some things about Vedhra. Vedhra's brood exists for the purpose of preparing for a war with the Lii'dra. But the thing is, the wiki page does not describe very well how she even goes about this. The best explanation right now is that she canvasses all the species of the Orion Spur, trying to find the perfect genetic information for bridging the gap between species, to tip the favor of the inevitable war in their favor. I believe that Vedhra can do more than this. Currently, the K'lax do not really have a brood that is fit for Warriors, most, if not all, revolve around logistics and technology. And while that is their schtick as the K'lax, I do not believe it meshes very well ICly or in general, as even the technological powerhouse needs a way to defend themselves. So my idea is to essentially make Vedhra the 'warrior' Queen of the K'lax, housing the general Za population of the hive while still having Ka dedicated to genetics research and the like. Since Vedhra is supposedly meant to prepare for a war with the Lii'dra, this also gives another very reasonable reason as to why Vedhra would have so many warriors. I plan on adding said reasons to the wiki page on top of other things. An example of 'other things' would be the possible idea of Vedhra donating some warriors to the Hegemony, as again, most of the K'lax is worker based, and I imagine that they would have to give some sort of levy, since they are the vassals to the hegemony. This could go as far as them giving Warforms for the hegemony's use. The final idea is adding some juicy events to the Recent Events part of Vedhra's page, Which is currently empty as hell. The main event I want to put down is the spontaneous influx of new Warriors into the brood, and aggressive attempts by Vedhra to expose pockets of Lii'dra with some form of Shock Troops. Warriors and Warforms swarming places believed to be inhabited by Lii'dra. Capturing when possible and trying to uncover any information they can about Lii'dra's plans. Now, those are my main three ideas I can think of off the top of my head. And you may be wondering "Why are the explanations so short? WHERE THE FUCK IS THE ESSAY? " The thing is, these ideas are just that, Ideas. They are things that I have put a good amount of thought into, but don't want to go too far with to keep myself flexible. On top of the fact that Jam has not verified or given permission for any of these. I do not feel I should be wasting too much time developing an idea if Jam has not even confirmed whether or not he likes it in the first place. This is the point of deputies in my mind, to discuss lore and how it could be changed, voice their opinions, and offer advice and suggestions for change. I have plenty more ideas, but putting them all here would be incredibly long and tedious when what I have now could do to serve as an example as to what I can do in the future. I still have a lot to learn, but I feel I can accomplish the duties of a lore deputy just fine. If you see anything lacking or false information, PLEASE tell me over DMs or as feedback on this thread. Thanks for reading this big chunk of text.

If you don’t remember, the last time we tried this we had nonstop ninja rounds. I do not want to go back to that hell.

[Accepted] ShesTrying To Be A Skrell
Roostercat replied to ShesTrying's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I know as much about Skrell lore as the average spessman knows about Vaurca lore, so I cannot say much there. But I can attest that ShesTrying is a phenomenal roleplayer that plays a very wide variety of characters, I would be very interested to see their Frog Psyche. +1 -
Yeaaaaahhh, this was my first attempt at spriting, I plan on redoing the north facing ones.

Bones isn't thematic to medical, other than his name. Ian is not thematic either though he gets a pass as an animal thematic to paper pushing is hard to come by.
-
Why am I the way I am.

Right what it says on the tin. I recently made a custom item for ShesTrying's character Voa, a bunny plushie. There was one problem though. Everyone liked it too fucking much. So we both opted to see if we could make it the RD's new pet. In hand sprites his name is Mr.Hugs (can be changed) Every time i try to delete this it comes back oh god

Type (e.g. Planet, Faction, System): Religious Figure Describe this proposal in a single sentence (12 word maximum): Add an actual portion describing Shapers on the wiki. How will this be reflected on-station? It is already in game. Vaurca can choose to be a priest and select shaper clothing in the loadout, though there is no representation of this on the wiki, thus this app to make it more clear as to what Shapers are. I feel this is necessary as seeing Shapers in game can be weird and no-one really knows much about them, and cant really even look it up. Does this faction/etc do anything not achieved by what already exists? Nope, it is already in game, just wanting to solidify it on the wiki. Why should this be given to lore developers rather than remain player created lore? It is already up to the loredevs, as it is already in game. This is to clarify on the wiki since there is not other explanation. Do you understand that if this is submitted, you are signing it away to the lore team, and that it's possible that it will change over time in ways that you may not forsee? ??? Long Description: Shapers are Vaurcan followers of the Preimminence religion. They are really the only religious figures in Vaurcan society right now that are sort of priest-like. They are typically similar to counselors and seek to help people follow what they are meant to be in life so that God can form. To really explain what Shapers are, it is important to understand wtf Preimminence is, so I will now Copy paste that part of the wiki now Notice the Bolded part, this is the only real definition of Shapers, and it really isn'tmuch of a definition as it is a very broad definition of followers of the religion. Shapers lead the charge in shaping people's destiny whereas mainstream followers would just believe in it, maybe assisting where they can. I feel this is a important clarification because if all the followers were shapers than it is likely any brood following the religion would not be doing anything but that, making it pointless as I seriously doubt an entire brood is meant to be shapers destiny-wise. Especially since it says all followers believe it is their duty to do so. So if they were all doing it, then no-ne would be doing their Job, defeating the point. So my suggestion in full is to add a part onto the wiki About shapers, and change the bolded text above slightly. The normal text is what is already existent, the Bold text is what I want to add/change. I feel this is a necessary addition due to the fact that shapers exist in-game, but are hardly ever played. I believe this is due to the lack of information making players fearful of playing the role, not wanting to screw it up. Thus a segment discussing them is necessary in my opinion.
