  1. I also recall a mention of the janitor closet being turned into a tiny 1x1 square, which seems dumb to me. I hope that's been changed. That was a suggestion made by Meow, not anything officially stated by the mapping team.
  2. For reference, this was the forum post in question: 1. Neither you nor the captain informed me of my charges until after you illicitly entered my department and disobeyed a direct order to leave. Failure to communicate, no warrant was filed. The captain didn't say a fucking word to me, nor over comms. 2. No, I didn't. You bust in as I was trying to fix organs and the man's bones because the anesthetic was either neglectfully or purposefully disabled by another surgeon. It was not my fault that they were disabled. 3. You're a brig warden. Not an officer. You have no right to act like a security officer. Security officers exist to act like security officers. 4. You were illegally given those force gloves, as the RD from the round had testified. That means you were in possession of contraband as well as misappropriating contraband. 5. I walked towards you, injected you, so that I could finish my surgery. I did not finalize the cauterize step until several seconds after I gave you chloral. You were threatening me and I wasn't going to have a warden overstep their authority in my department and attempt to boss me around and punish me for a thing I was not even at fault for. You were an ignorant peon misinterpreting the situation and I had you neutralized so I could do my job in helping someone who needed more attention than you did. In regards to the chem mix, you're either doubly ignorant or a liar. I filled my hypospray to maximum capacity with chloral. I gave you 5. I gave the wizard 5 to disable them. I gave Calhoun 5 to disable him when he was chasing after me as well. I use the tools at my disposal to my advantage. It is no different from security officers using pepperspray on people with sunglasses. 6. No, it's code red when it's code red. He didn't tell any of the head of staffs it was code red. You need to swipe red to make it code red, buddy. You don't get automatic all-encompassing department-intruding authority unless it is, officially, code red. Because you say something is so, does not make it so. The head of security had me to talk to and ask me to actually swipe for red. I would've done it if he had asked. He did not. Failure to communicate. By the information you've told me, it looks like an uncomfortable fraction of security was shit. Especially on point one and point five. You wanna lecture me on proper escalation? Check yourself first.
  3. Left column when browsing a forum/subforum, the post/globe/pin/etc icons have a red background if there's new unread posts in that thread. Clicking that icon takes you to the first unread post.
  4. If Skull permits it, I can poke through the CSS rules and see about possibly darkening the backgrounds on quotes.
  5. Alright ladies and gentlement. You need to calm down. I'll be locking this thread until an admin can review things and put the arguing to rest.
  6. A quick note that when this IR was first posted up, I double checked with admins. The above /is/ an OOC issue, not an IC issue, and is why Jackboot was recommended to post a player complaint. So, let's not bring up 'But this is an IC issue' or anything like that please. Thank you.
  7. Alright ladies and gentlemen. This is a staff complaint focusing on a specific incident involving NursieKitty and Garbage. This is not a player complaint or a debate between you two. Keep it on topic, and resolve your issues in PM, or post a player complaint if you have an issue.
  8. Did you check end-of-round if he was an antag for that? Because if he was an antag, that'd make a bit more sense.
  9. Oh my bad. Well I'm the Station Engineer Sam Fincher, Medical Doctor Standford Norton, Roboticist Sydney Faust, AI DOCTOR, tried to be the Borg L33T. Used to be Shaft Miner Doug McDorf, but there's too little ore on the asteroids to be worth the effort. Can't be anything in security cuz my pc lags too easily and muh reaction speed is too slow. I'd suggest adding those characters under the 'Character names' list; That's supposed to be of the characters you already play so people can recognize you if they don't know who plays a certain character.
  10. I am fine with CCIA being a hostage but I personally think Command Personnels should be the one deciding the course of action. Here's an Example I'd like to avoid: CCIA#1 is taken hostage by Sir Griefer. CCIA#2 or NanoTrasen Officials steps in out of now where, even contacted by Command Personnel, and takes charge or decides orders. Command Personnels being unable to do anything. I'd just prefer Command Personnels being able to decide for themselves. "YOU DIG DAWG?!" That wouldn't happen because in events like that the CCIAs escort assumes command of them. If they're not alive then it would fall on security to get them out of there. Central would only likely get involved if security or station heads aren't able to resolve the issue. I think the most you'll see of a CCIA 'taking charge' is 'Drop those damn weapons before I get shot by this terrorist, or I swear to god, you're all fired if I get out of this alive'
  11. Auxiliary Staff Recruitment Notice
  12. Since you two /still/ can't figure it out, I'm going to be forced to lock this until an admin can decide what to do, as per Skull's last post.
  13. Good point. I think this thread may have actually been archived before the forum clusterfluck. I'll lock this and poke an admin.
  14. A follower of the Snow God? I might just have to bring back Kylan so they can discuss their beliefs together. I like the backstory behind this character, and think you do have a grasp of Tajara beyond 'lel catpeople'. You've definitely read the recently updated lore page, too, which is a plus. +1 from me
  15. That's beyond what I can do with a simple mapping change sadly.
  16. This may be related to the recent forum issue we had; A few things got messed up and disorganized as a result of posts and threads vanishing on us.
  17. It seems pretty clear that there WAS malice and forethought, but i assume he was playing an antagonist so it's justifiable. The issue here is that Drev wasn't aware of exactly when the EOR griefing rule takes into effect, and didn't think it applied while the shuttle was still docked It's my understanding that the EOR grief rule takes effect when the shuttle docks at the exodus. Drev believed it starts when the shuttle leaves exodus. Some official clarification would be helpful Quoting exactly what has been stated by admins in the past: EOR grief rules apply when the shuttle docks with the NSS Aurora/Exodus. All conflict is expected to stop in and around the shuttle and shuttle dock (Departures). Conflict may continue elsewhere if there's proper build up/lead up to the situation or it was already in progress (I.e., escape pods are exempt from the EOR grief rule). This /may/ have changed since Skull became the new headmin, but this was the rule as it was enforced by Scopes.
  18. A little tip. If you shift-click examine a shutter while standing next to it, it tells you the pressure and temperature of adjacent tiles, even if there's no power. That tells you easily if it's safe, whether it's flashing or not.
  19. You step up from alert level and escalate appropriately. A singular Cadet with no heads couldn't do that. If stuff like that is occurring you need to reach out to Central about possibly getting some assistance in the form of an ERT. Cadets can't do that either. Only an IA or head of staff ID can send faxes. I'd say just escalate the best you can and handle the situation. If there's an AI, have them send a message to CC.
  20. Pending final say from Skull, by the sounds of it, here's what your new IA office /may/ look like (I also took the liberty of adding security and employment record consoles)
  21. Honestly, something this simple, I could /probably/ make the change for you. I already have github setup on my end, with my own fork, and know how to use it. For formality's sake I would have to review every revision and give it the okay, so that no chucklefuck sneaks in an invisible pulse rifle. Otherwise I am also perfectly fine with community submissions. Works for me. I'll create a branch on my end and work on it tomorrow if I get time.
  22. As a note, that did devolve to a page worth of back and forth between Jboy and DaBurs. I didn't read too much into it to determine who was at fault or if they both were with it becoming an argument instead of staying on topic, though. From what I /did/ look at, it honestly seems there may be some mixup/confusion of IC personality vs OOC personality. However, there is also the reaction to Jboy's post that DaBurs made. I honestly think you both need to have a sit down, talk things out with eachother, and come to an understanding; It might be a better option than going straight to a player complaint/admins.

  24. Ah, sorry; I missed that when skimming the thread, links are the same color as regular text on the new forums.
  25. For reference, this thread is what mainly spurred on this complaint: http://forums.aurorastation.org/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=5809
