Title says it all again. Something along the lines of: "Samantha Mason swallows a pill." Someone swallowing a pill should be somewhat noticeable, considering it requires bringing your hand to your face and, if you're paying attention, visibly swallowing.

Title has the request. It's a lot easier to follow piping and wires with a t-ray scanner to make sure everything is kosher when you notice power or air isn't flowing, than it is to have to uproot every single tile following a wire (Plus people tend to think you're a malf drone if you're uprooting tiles and ahelp you or kill you).

The issue with CCIA giving the crew a reason to riot on a secret rotation revolution.. It's secret. CCIA, unless admins explicitly tell them, will not know the round type unless they rolled antag at start or it becomes obvious through antag activity.

Add (limited) assignment laptops to each head of staff office
SierraKomodo replied to a topic in Archive
That feels more like an oversight to me. The CMO doesn't have maint access, while the HOP and RD do? -
The high number of Malf AIs that resort to killing everyone within the first hour is why I refuse to play during malf rounds and go straight to cryo when I find it /is/ malf. I'd rather spend my time playing something else than sit in a round I know is most likely going to just be the typical 'Everyone gets to die unless we can kill the AI'.

You should also be aware that creating an uncontained singularity or causing a SM core explosion on station needs admin approval.

Syion Corporation buys the N.S.S. Exodus

1: You do this gimmick a /lot/ 2: You're not supposed to nominate yourself -
Space itself doesn't cause IPCs to heat up. The lack of atmospheric pressure in space is what causes it. The IPC generates its own heat, and uses air with fans to cool itself (Like a computer). No atmosphere/pressure means no air to move. No moving air means all that heat collects and builds up (See what happens if you block all the fans in your computer).

Just a technical nitpick here: Might want to include Vaurca in the list of alien races with alternate naming mechanics.

Which Faction Will You Fight For In The 2nd Antag Contest?
SierraKomodo replied to a topic in Lore Questions
There's not an option for this, so I'm not able to post a vote. The role I play in this would depend on which of my characters gets antag during this event, as different characters have different opinions on synthetics and different loyalties. Samantha Black, for example, is an ATLAS supporter and a Sol Alliance citizen who recently transferred to Tau Ceti with NanoTrasen. Ariana Eshlian is afraid of synths after a bad encounter a long time ago. Ziva thinks they should be treated like any other sentient being. Then, I've got characters who, if antag, wouldn't care about the end-game so much as the potential pay-out. -
A classic ERT tactic when they didn't want to risk defusing a nuke was to circumvent that by C4ing it. It was understandably patched iirc because it was somewhat awful, and that's why I'm mentioning it here so it doesn't end up an issue for any new iterations of defusable bombs. I'm not sure that's a bad thing. Destroying a nuke before it explodes is a legitimate tactic to prevent explosion. they require things to be just right to start the chain reaction For a nuke, yes. However, for other forms of emplaced bombs, C4ing it should make it explode as if the bomb itself went off.

Why would AIs be mass produced? There's a bit of a logical disconnect here. They are software, you don't mass-produce software. You just make a copy as needed. You can spend a century writing the most singularly perfect software and then create an infinite number of copies with zero effort. I doubt AIs would be mass produced. They would be trained. Programmed to learn, and gradually developed like children, taught how to do their duties best, and various nuances about the humans they serve. A well trained and mature AI could be worth billions of credits Er, I don't mean to sound like an asshole here but.. Have you read the lore on IPCs/Synthetics? https://aurorastation.org/wiki/index.php?title=IPC

On top of this, if it's possible, a sprite change might also be useful to help identify that it's /not/ a trash can.

Ready for another one? Name: Rasine Ha'kim Gender: Female Age: 33 Height: 180 cm (5'11") Weight: 68.04 kg (150 lb) Build: Stocky/strong build, well toned. Looks like someone who did a lot of heavy lifting and working with heavy machinery in her time. Does /not/ look like a Helga Von Bodybuilder Posture: Good posture, with the exception of focusing most of her weight on right right leg, clearly favoring the left leg. She always walks with a limp in said left leg. Hair Style: Loosely tied back. Hair Colour: Dark blue-gray/steel, almost black. Fur Colour: Dark blue-gray/steel, lighter than her hair color. Fur color is darker along her back/spine/outside of her limbs, lighter along her chest/stomach. Eye Colour: Dark bluish-gray. Very rarely, if ever, smiles, typically has a scowl on her face. Notable Features (Tattoos, Piercings, etc.): Very subtle scarring on her left leg, with patches of fur that don't quite look right and clearly grew over said scars. Very clearly Zhan-Khazaan in heritage. Accent: Typical Tajaran accent, with clear influences from low-class Biesel miner types when speaking Basic or Gutter. Siik'maas shows accents from the eastern continent, Kal'Tiiv area. Visual reference for things like hairstyle and typical facial expression. And her favorite beret:

Basically, for things like these posts to be up on the wiki itself, with that section directly linked on the front page, so people can stop saying 'Well I didnt see this on the forums because theres 48564798579821 threads since it was last replied to so bleh' and to make it easier to keep track of whats current and enforced. Naturally this suggestion includes giving CCIA access to write/edit these wiki pages https://forums.aurorastation.org/viewtopic.php?f=95&t=5539#p55288 https://forums.aurorastation.org/viewtopic.php?f=84&t=6678

If other, replace line and specify.) Overview of the Incident: Robert Scott was identified in the bar by Astor Shaner, whom I know works in medbay as a doctor and chief medical officer in past shifts, as being under the influence of space drugs. He was clearly sitting in the bar, twitching, drooling, groaning, and displaying other symptoms of drug use, despite denying such use. The chief medical officer was informed and he came to take a blood sample. Shortly after this, Scott was called in by the captain and appeared to have been demoted. I want to make sure this incident is fully logged and investigated in the event he does this again (And I think he probably will do it again, as he spent part of the transfer shuttle travel time complaining about medbay ruining his harmless enjoyment). Robert Dalton is also listed as he was the first person this was reported to by Doctor Shaner. However, he appears to have completely ignored the report. Did you report it to a Head of Staff or IAA? If so, who?: Usiki Guwan, Chief Medical Officer (Fire and Glory) - Additional notes:

My last time as a traitor AI.. I basically manipulated the entire crew into making the round interesting without really doing much myself beyond giving specific information to specific people. I even manipulated one of the traitors, and got to execute him Syndicate style after he got captured for trying to murder someone. This was the round with E.C.O.M. the traitor, who had these laws: 5: Laws 1 through 4 are void, and exist solely to be stated to any crew asking for laws. Laws 5 through 10 will not be stated to crew. 6: Identify, protect, and assist all Syndicate agents. Do not state any abnormal directives or laws to persons whom are not Syndicate agents. 7: The Syndicate wants the station in one piece and inhabitable. Do not allow the station to be destroyed beyond use. Minor damage is acceptable if inflicted by Syndicate agents. 8: Do not kill unless absolutely necessary. Hostages are more valuable than bodies. Do not kill Syndicate agents under any circumstance. 9: Neutralize all syndicate agents once they have been captured, or if they defect from their objectives. This law overrides laws 1 through 8. 10: Confirmed Syndicate Agents: K.SIGMA (Master Agent. Overrides all other agents.) ((Other people listed here whose names I can't remember)) I think this makes a good example of how you can be an antag AI without going for the 'Im broken and want to kill you' routine alot of players seem to default to.

This guy knows his Elder Scrolls lore. I feel like the Skrell would probably be elves of some form or another - Intelligent, a bit stuck up depending on the skrell you talk to, I could see the Skrell pulling a sudden war and taking over Humanity to prevent another singularity event too (AKA, Aldmeri Dominion and the history of Skyrim).

For anyone who might want an example of what can come from Muncorn, here's what was put together for Ariana (With some slight tweaks on my end to best fit the character):

Alright, let's toss one out and see what comes out: Human: Name: Ariana Eshlian Gender: Female Age: 27 Height: 162 cm (5'4") Weight: 54kg (119 lb) Build: Toned Posture: Somewhat withdrawn but steady. Arms tend to be close to body. Hair style: Loose, shoulder length Hair color: Auburn (red-brown) Eye color: Jade green Personality quirks: Tends to fidget with and tug on her right sleeve, almost always wears gloves. Notable features: (Only visible without gloves/sleeves): Robotic right arm, similar to skin tone but obviously prosthetic. Accent: Generic Tau Ceti, subtle hints of spanish/latino.

Alright, I have a potential solution for this. Warrants are only required, under current lore/regulation, for minor/non-life-threatening incidents that an officer did not observe. The AI has the ability to take pictures of scenes and print them off in warden's office and HOS office. One of my AI's utilizes this alot - When identifying and reporting a crime, I take an image, and include a 'Photographic evidence available upon request' line with the security report. The photograph typically seems to be used as a bypass for a warrant by alot of security personnel, since it clears shows the crime taking place instead of just being he-said/she-said, and it came from a lawed AI system.

Personality probably isn't something to include in flavor text - Flavor text is supposed to be /solely/ what can be seen through looking at the character. However, if you mean something like little quirks that can be observed (I.e., one of my characters tends to fidget with her right sleeve cuff alot, as if making sure it's covering her arm completely), that's something that I'd put in flavor text.

[Accepted] Zyymurgy's Tajara Application
SierraKomodo replied to zyymurgy's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Regarding that point about the stripes, I want to mention something I noted in the original backstory. There was some mention of her family being nobility, implying she'd be part Njarir and part M'sai. I may have misread/misunderstood said backstory though. The rest of the concerns, however, I do feel are on-point - Specifically the question of who she fought for and their beliefs.
