My last time as a traitor AI.. I basically manipulated the entire crew into making the round interesting without really doing much myself beyond giving specific information to specific people. I even manipulated one of the traitors, and got to execute him Syndicate style after he got captured for trying to murder someone. This was the round with E.C.O.M. the traitor, who had these laws: 5: Laws 1 through 4 are void, and exist solely to be stated to any crew asking for laws. Laws 5 through 10 will not be stated to crew. 6: Identify, protect, and assist all Syndicate agents. Do not state any abnormal directives or laws to persons whom are not Syndicate agents. 7: The Syndicate wants the station in one piece and inhabitable. Do not allow the station to be destroyed beyond use. Minor damage is acceptable if inflicted by Syndicate agents. 8: Do not kill unless absolutely necessary. Hostages are more valuable than bodies. Do not kill Syndicate agents under any circumstance. 9: Neutralize all syndicate agents once they have been captured, or if they defect from their objectives. This law overrides laws 1 through 8. 10: Confirmed Syndicate Agents: K.SIGMA (Master Agent. Overrides all other agents.) ((Other people listed here whose names I can't remember)) I think this makes a good example of how you can be an antag AI without going for the 'Im broken and want to kill you' routine alot of players seem to default to.

This guy knows his Elder Scrolls lore. I feel like the Skrell would probably be elves of some form or another - Intelligent, a bit stuck up depending on the skrell you talk to, I could see the Skrell pulling a sudden war and taking over Humanity to prevent another singularity event too (AKA, Aldmeri Dominion and the history of Skyrim).

For anyone who might want an example of what can come from Muncorn, here's what was put together for Ariana (With some slight tweaks on my end to best fit the character):

Alright, I have a potential solution for this. Warrants are only required, under current lore/regulation, for minor/non-life-threatening incidents that an officer did not observe. The AI has the ability to take pictures of scenes and print them off in warden's office and HOS office. One of my AI's utilizes this alot - When identifying and reporting a crime, I take an image, and include a 'Photographic evidence available upon request' line with the security report. The photograph typically seems to be used as a bypass for a warrant by alot of security personnel, since it clears shows the crime taking place instead of just being he-said/she-said, and it came from a lawed AI system.

Personality probably isn't something to include in flavor text - Flavor text is supposed to be /solely/ what can be seen through looking at the character. However, if you mean something like little quirks that can be observed (I.e., one of my characters tends to fidget with her right sleeve cuff alot, as if making sure it's covering her arm completely), that's something that I'd put in flavor text.

Regarding that point about the stripes, I want to mention something I noted in the original backstory. There was some mention of her family being nobility, implying she'd be part Njarir and part M'sai. I may have misread/misunderstood said backstory though. The rest of the concerns, however, I do feel are on-point - Specifically the question of who she fought for and their beliefs.

Under my current canon, as well, the Katana Delta pAI units are shards of the main Katana unit that are re-integrated after the shift and verification of integrity.

Basically, it's up to the heads of staff to decide how lenient or strict they want comms to be. If a head of staff tells you not to discuss something on comms and you do it anyway, that's grounds not only for misuse of comms but also failure to execute an order.

This is actually an interesting take on the Diona compared to other backstories I've seen. I especially like how this gestalt has a specific purpose and a goal to return home some day to report everything they learned. Pun: The Tallest Tree is the Tree of Life. the Protector of the Tallest Tree is against killing and wants to preach calmness and peace to all life. +1.

Mm, as much as I love M1-X as a station bound unit.. I can't say that four sentences equates to an approximately 2 paragraph backstory for the character. The history is rather bland there - You didn't say anything about where M1-X came from, why M1-X prefers medical, why it's being transferred to a law-bound chassis to an independent IPC, whether or not M1-X is a 'free' synthetic, etc. I'm assuming M1-X falls under the 'Bespoke' category of synthetics as per wiki. Give us a little more detail in that backstory.

I can't say I recognize your characters or have seen you on station, but it's possible I'm just not on at the same times as you. With that, going solely off the application you provided.. I do like the application, but there's a couple things I want to mention. Firstly, regarding the [REDACTED] stuff in the backstory.. You should make sure you clear that stuff with the CCIA people/admins before making it a part of your characters history - Especially if it's going to be referenced in records. When Gollee was the head DO/CCIA, he had a rule in place that you absolutely had to clear anything that says [REDACTED] in your records with him or a senior CCIA before it could actually be in your records (I.e., CCIA would ICly know the exact details of whatever was redacted, and from an OOC standpoint would confer with admins/lore to determine if it was feasible). I'm not certain if the current head CCIA is following that specific rule (I'm no longer on staff and not in contact with them). Regarding your definition of roleplay and heavy RP in general in this community.. I think you hit it spot on. Finally, something to note regarding the OOC purpose of a head of staff, at least in my opinion (And there are others that would agree with this): The purpose of a head of staff is also to ensure everyone playing a round is involved in some way, not to just lock antags/events to command only, or command/security only and black-tape everyone else out of the fun. Their purpose is also to mentor/teach other players the ways of the department they're in, and to provide a good example to the newer players. So, despite not recognizing you, I think I'd be willing to give you a chance without waiting for me to happen across a round you're in, so long as you note the above. Tentative +1.

That being said, such a gravity generator or similar device to create gravity would be expensive to acquire and maintain in comparison to the relatively simplistic method of centrifugal force, would it not? Additionally, with the Odin, perhaps only that docking back and the access areas with ERT, CCIA, NT Administration, etc are on a subsection of the station not under centrifugal gravity but utilizing a gravity generator, while the habitation sections are connected to centrifugal rings. There isn't really aset description of how, exactly, the Odin is built - Only a vague idea and implications based on the map of the rather small section of the Odin we do see.

I think we should also add 'If the AI witnessed a crime directly' to the list of exemptions from filing a warrant. NT would trust an AI to accurately report a crime needing security, right?

The best option would be to inform security, remind them of the above CCIA regulation, and if it's a consistant issue and you're a head of staff, send a fax in.

Fuck. I forgot about this. A delay and/or low refresh rate for the crew monitoring console? Can you imagine how annoyed Medbay and Command would be if E.C.O.M. started announcing all of the holodamage?

This would be a nice QOL change. You have no idea how many times I /thought/ I approved an order, only to find the shuttle empty when it arrives.
