  1. I am going to try my best to attend to this feedback, and it shares similar points with others. 1. It may not be the closest ship, but it is one of the closest. It is outfitted with a hybrid of both a Bluespace and Warp Drive, and arguably is capable of reaching speeds that the SFA Strike Force is unable to do -- considering they are relying on Warp, only. This means at the maximum speed, they will take twice as long to reach there than the Horizon, who is hot on their tail following the discovery of their abandoned hideout within the Badlands. You are right, the TCFL, Icarus and the PMC ships will get there before the Horizon, but the Horizon is the only one that can tell where they're coming from or even how many of them are coming with its advanced sensors. Thats why its critical to be there. It has technology that can detect things from lightyears away, as opposed to other classes of spacecraft. I hope that makes more sense? 2. The Horizon is neither under-equipped or untrained. Staff (Bridge Crew, Command and Operations) were required to get training on naval gunneries. Additionally, there was a VR Event that allowed people to partake and learn how to adapt to a combat situation without the fear of having their character lost. This has always been important to me, and I think its been evident in all the events that I've hosted. I try and limit the death of characters, even to the detriment of the arc. This can be found in announcements on the General Discord. Again, this links back to why the SCC so desparately needs the SCCV Horizon. The Horizon is the only ship that they can use to determine the fighting force they're up against -- and with the speed it can reach (which is faster than Solarian SFA Naval ships that do not have the Hammerdrive and are relying on a much older warp drive) the Orchard Moon perhaps hours before the Strike Force so that Conglomerate knows what they're up against. It isn't the entirety of the TCFL, nor the PMC, or NT. There may be TCFL responding, but the Republic of Biesel additionally requires them throughout the CRZ -- especially on the borders with the Warlords to ensure that they do not step over their newly annexed lands. This means perhaps 1/4 of the TCFL within the region are actually responding, not all of them will be able to reach the Orchard Moon due to being far away, or assigned to ensuring that additional splinter cells don't enter the area (patrolling). The TCFL has already engaged with the SFA in the region, which can be tracked back to this newspaper article. The Icarus is a powerful spacecraft, yes. But, remember during KOTW it still needed a full contingent of TCFL to fight back against a full-kitted Solarian Rogue Fleet. The Conglomerate is unaware of how many they can expect to see at the Orchard Moon, further reinforcing why they need the Horizon and its advanced sensors. No this doesn't mean a full-kitted Solarian Battlegroup is enroute to the NSS Orchard Moon. This was merely an anecdote to the event many have referred to during this thread. 4. Unfortunately, I believe you've missed a lot then. This article is important. It outlines that the Gates are shut down for extended periods because Biesel is unable to operate them due to a lack of Phoron. Without the Bluespace Gates, the Orion Spur is cut off from one another. Trade dies, and civilizations collapse as they cannot fulfill the needs of their people. An additional article about Orion Express beginning construction on Reade for harvesting hydrogen to refuel warp drives -- making themselves independent of the Solarian Alliance's Helium & Hydrogen processing facilities. It has not been complete, but will be soon. Another article where President Dorn confirms they have to restrain the Vaurca from phoron, as they simply do not have enough to keep them alive -- asking them to focus on growing more K'ois to sustain themselves because the Republic of Biesel cannot. These articles specifically relate to the Republic of Biesel. These articles (along with dozens of others; Tajara, Unathi, Skrell, Human [Elyra Riots], and Vaurca) were all planted to try and emphasize that the Phoron Scarcity is at its lowest low, and its getting to rock botton if something big doesn't happen soon. It is then that Dreary Futures I kicks off, finding the Orchard Moon. Yes, I would love to have made a map where the Horizon could've broken ground, but unfortunately we didn't have the assets to be able to do so (we were restricted to only one individual, before volunteers who sacrifice their time were able to come onto the team and devote more efforts). Yes, I agree that if you were not following carefully, it may have breezed over some peoples heads, and they might underestimate the issue at hand. 5. This is going to be pursued, not as a result of this arc particularly, but overall showing additional rumblings in the Stellar Corporate Conglomerate. It requires that we have an actual plan, and arc (whether it be news or events), to actually allow it to develop. We very rarely release "one-offs" that concern the Republic of Biesel and the Megacorporations, because it hinders narratives. This takes time, and I ask that people be patient. It isn't easy crafting storylines that take months to unravel. 6. The SCCV Horizon stands for the Stellar Corporate Conglomerate Vessel Horizon. Prior to the installment of its armaments, I might have concured with you that it was a civilian vessel - so to speak. But, it no longer fills that position. It is a Cruiser-Class (Venator design) that has the primary mission of securing and locating Phoron -- with an experiment weapon capable of decimating those that wish to fuck with the Megacorps (the Leviathon). Phoron is the most important thing to the Horizon, and the Conglomerate. The SCCV Horizon is a prototype Cruiser-Class vessel designed to uncover Phoron - capable of doing such at distances never previously thought possible. Created by the Stellar Corporate Conglomerate, primarily by Hephaestus Industries and Zavodskoi Interstellar, the Horizon has been given several objectives that it ought to complete during its commission. While detecting Phoron is considered the primary objective, there also exists secondary and even tertiary objectives in which the crew of the SCCV Horizon must attempt to accomplish - examples of which are investigating potential colony sites for the expansion of the Stellar Corporate Conglomerate and the Republic of Biesel, as well as analysing deep space anomalies to uncover the mysteries of the Orion Spur, and hopefully unearthing additional information on why Phoron exists and why it has such a profound impact within the regions of which it is discovered. This is taken from the SCCV Horizon page, which has been up since prior to the release of the NBT. Phoron is its primary objective, but it will be given secondary and even tertiary objectives -- which means its at the whim of the Conglomerate. 1. I do not expect characters to necessarily like the idea, but they do have to accept that it is within the confines of their job description. Again, it makes reference to the fact the the Horizon is controlled according to the Conglomerate. Your characters reconciled themselves that they may place themselves in dangerous circumstances. For those referencing Star Trek, the NCC Enterprise frequently engages in conflicts in its aim to facilitate diplomatic and science charters. However, unlike in Star Trek, we do not adhere to uniform requirements nor do we expect our players to have a vast knowledge of military understandings -- such as when to salute, or how to address a person in lower or higher rank -- unlike Star Trek. You are perfectly entitled within ICly for your characters to fear and worry about their future. But, it is the responsibility of the player to ensure they act within the realm of belief. You cannot expect no consequences if they decide to disobey a lawful order, which results in the Horizon unable to protect itself. You can act within the realm of your characters beliefs, but please remember there will be consequences for those actions. Refusing to obey an order may end up hurting or even killing other characters. 2. It is unfortunate, but we need to return for a narrative sequence of events. After this event, the SFA won't be heard of for some time, and we move onto species-centric arcs for the next six to eight months or so. A few months ago there were many complaints that the Nralakk Federation wiped out the Warlord without ever exploring it. Which is why this arc has been pursued, to give a "redemption" or sorts to the SFA. Dreary Futures I and II aims to right the wrongs of the past with the SFA, and how many were disappointed in our particular choice of dealing with a Warlord. Unfortunately some may think it is stale and old, but others are glad that the SFA are finally being dealt with in a much better method to the wiping out of Beauchamp by the Federation. 3. We have tried to pursue these events, but many people critiqued it and said it was boring. We still still pursue these types of events, but the greater critique is that people argue these types of events focus only on particular departments. Dreary Futures I had several of these events: The first event was hurt individuals coming aboard the SCCV Horizon to get medical care, and negotiate for a protection contract with Lt. Becker an Cpt. Kruger. We had an Elyran Ambassador aboard the SCCV Horizon. (People referred to this as HOI4 Intrigue RP) You got to explore the NSS Orchard Moon in all its glory. (People complained it was boring) However, the next series of arcs do not have a focus on anything remotely similar to Dreary Futures. Again, its been only 7 months (5 of which have been about the "Launch Arc"). It has been long, but the work needed for these projects are enormous, and I just ask that people have some patience and empathy that we sometimes need a break from the constant work -- or we need time to give people what they want in terms of assets and narratives. 4. Again, I make reference to the many Star Trek anecdotes people have mentioned. The Voyager, Deep Space 9 and the Enterprise all go through conflicts when they're on their missions of "diplomacy, science and discovery". 5. That has always been the aim to make impact the greater Spur, those other arcs you've mentioned is what I've tried my hardest to emphasize Dreary Futures I & II. I had received criticisms that the newspaper articles were getting too much and out of hand for many to keep up with, which is why they've slowed. I am disappointed that some felt this way, but I understood sometimes it can get overwhelming trying to keep up with things, which is why we put a focus on events this arc as opposed to newspaper articles -- which many people have confirmed they don't bother reading, so I am confused as to what I need to do. There doesn't seem to be a clear answer here for me to follow, with me disappointing some of you, and making others happy. Again, all I ask is for people to be patient with us. We're human. We've only been doing this for seven months, its a really short time to figure out how to make everything work and keep it interesting. We volunteers have to juggle this and our real live situations -- I mean, I know I'm not the only one on the team that has university, a job and then I still have to come back and pour my remaining energy here to make sure everyone else can escape from their lives. Its a thankless job, and I'm proud of my team and how much we've been able to do together. I'm glad that some people here can speak up and say thanks, even in the face of the negativity. 6. Not one person on this thread has accurately predicted the final event, nor anywhere else on discord. There is an assumption that certain things will happen, and it is not correct. The event has exploration, decision-making, and sure it may possibly have ship-to-ship conflict depending on the crew's choices, but not at such a grandscale that people seem to think. I am a bit disappointed that people are hating on an event that has not yet occurred, nevermind that people do not even know what it entails. I just ask that you give it a shot, and then give us feedback. Unfortunately, it wouldn't make narrative sense and it wouldn't tie up the arc. It is easy just make up another event, but it won't have any relevance on the circumstances or the narrative. It actually harms and dilutes the purpose of the arc. I hope that this clears up some of the issues, and I tried my best to approach it from a gentler perspective and explain it to the best of my abilities.
  2. I just want to ask that everyone waits until the event before they have these preconceived ideas about what’s gonna happen. I’ll gladly listen to feedback then, but for now I ask you do not have complaints about an event that has yet to happen, and that none of the greater playerbase is aware of how it may play out. Secondly, Dreary Futures is a necessary step to exploring our setting as we iron out kinks in the system as we explore various other aspects of lore. Additionally, after this we have species-centric arcs that will have all kinds of different focuses. Again, I just want to remind everyone we’ve only really been doing this for 7 months. It’s a realm that hasn’t been explored before and we also need to learn how to navigate it. I ask that everyone has patience as we move forward and adapt the narrative as we learn. Kindness and patience goes a long way for people volunteering to give you entertainment ❤️
  3. SOLARIAN PROVISIONAL GOVERNMENT RESPONDS TO BIESEL CITIZENSHIP SCHEME IN OCCUPIED TERRITORIES Justs moments after the Republic of Biesel’s announcement, Governor Hendrik Strom ordered a press conference aimed at addressing the recent announcement by the Republic regarding the citizenship situation of many Solarians in the Corporate Reconstruction Zone, a stretch of Solarian territory currently illegally occupied. Speaking from the podium in the Senate room on Unity Station, Governor Strom began, “The Republic of Biesel has recently announced that all Solarians in select areas of our unjustly occupied territories must choose between their Solarian citizenship or Biesellite citizenship. Faced with this corporate-backed farce, the Alliance will always consider all inhabitants of what they call the ‘Corporate Reconstruction Zone’ to be Solarian citizens and only Solarian citizens.” Governor Strom later continued, “Knowing that they’re illegally occupying our territory, they’re trying to legitimize their occupation while they still can. But the fact that their so-called ‘Corporate Reconstruction Zone’ is rightful Solarian territory will never change.” The Solarian Alliance will not recognise any Biesellite citizenship granted to an inhabitant of the Corporate Reconstruction Zone past the 1st of December 2464. Instead, they will be considered a Solarian citizen in all cases. Additionally, Solarians fleeing the Corporate Reconstruction Zone will be given priority in the asylum-seeking process.
  4. Biesel Announces Citizenship for Reconstruction Zone President Joseph Dorn of the Republic of Biesel announced earlier today that select planetary member-states within the Corporate Reconstruction Zone have been officially integrated within the Republic, and therefore are entitled to the citizenship that it offers. Though some have criticised President Dorn’s announcement – others have rejoiced as it allows significantly easier assimilation into the greater Republic of Biesel. However, per Solarian laws those that wish to pursue citizenship must forsake their allegiance to the Solarian Alliance. The Union of Port Antillia and the Republic of Mictlan have qualified for these changes, with both Premier Julien Guerrier and Prime Minister Ladislao de Santos confirming that their planetary affairs offices will be ready for those that elect to pursue citizenship – where they’ll be able to forego the typical requirements such as enlisting with the Tau Ceti Foreign Legion, having resided within the Republic of Biesel for a period of twenty-four months, or speaking Tau Ceti Basic. Integrated Positronic Chassis will still need to adhere to the requirements prescribed before they can be eligible for citizenship. However, President Dorn confirmed that those resisting the annexation of the Corporate Reconstruction Zone will not be offered these advantages – with significant stretches of the untamed region still experiencing issues assimilating to their newfound circumstances. – and until they have entered a period of secure stability, citizenship will not be granted to them. There will be a grace period of twelve months following the announcement for those within the Union of Port Antillia and the Republic of Mictlan to acknowledge their citizenship. Those that wish to keep their Solarian citizenship will be required to adhere to Biesellite visa requirements; both for residing and working within its borders.
  5. Article #3 of the Consequences of the Future Arc Southern Fleet Administration Behind Skirmishes The Tau Ceti Foreign Legion, alongside the NDV Icarus, engaged in several fleets earlier today – where it was revealed the culprit behind the attacks within the region: the Southern Fleet Administration. Though they posed a threat to the Stellar Corporate Conglomerate’s Flagship the Horizon, it was thought that the group had moved on to less high-profile targets, but the discovery today only further outlines that they seem to be remaining within Valley Hale, and possibly other regions within the galactic south. Following the brief conflict, Biesellite and auxiliary corporate forces boarded the remnants of the Southern Fleet Administration, stumbling on a rather crucial finding – Einstein Engines technology, which poses a question as to whether it was stolen, or possibly even provided. Though, Einstein Engines has denied the involvement in these wandering warlord remnants. Tension appears to have lessened between the Serene Republic of Elyra and the Republic of Biesel, with confirmation from the Stellar Corporate Conglomerate that they are working with intelligence provided by Elyran authorities – attempting to recover the location of a tanker that went missing shortly after departing the NSS Orchard Moon. 6. BYOND key: Caelphon Discord name/id: Caelphon#8133 Borg / AI names: Sona (Proposed AI name) Have you read the Aurora wiki page about the AI?: Yup Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: Its one of the few "elements" of the SCCV Horizon that I havn't explored within the new setting (NBT). I'd like to expand my horizons (lol, pun intended) and develop a character that doesn't necessarily exist as a separate persona to the Stellar Corporate Conglomerate. It has been some time since I've played an artificial intelligence, and I believe the several adjustments made by the Development Team (in conjuction with the Whitelist Overseeing Team) has made it considerably better. Have you received any administrative actions? And how serious were they? I have three warnings: 1) It was regarding bad representation of a Dionae Whitelist, prior to my days as a Dionae Deputy. I walked into a firefight, and didn't display fear. (2020) 2) I misread some of antag types, and misunderstood what the aim between renegades and traitors. (2020) 3) I went AFK as a Captain during Code Red. It hasn't happened since. (2022) Do you understand your whitelist is not permanent, and may be stripped following continuous administrative action? Of course, like any other whitelist.
  7. Hi there. Personally, I'd recommend applying with a totally different character. It would help the SLT evaluate a character with different themes and personality as opposed to a very similar structure that you used with your previous application. I don't think I understand this. Are you confirming that you havn't played on the server since the removal of your whitelist? Thanks. EDIT: I'm asking this from the perspective of a player, not necessarily as the Loremaster.
  8. It seems there is a lot of confusion regarding whether Cyborgs would remain in lore. They most likely would. I don't condone them being removed as of this moment. However, I do believe that their time on Aurora has come to a close. We don't need to suddenly act like they never existed, merely that they exist but aren't used on the SCCV Horizon due to the precarious nature of stationbounds in regards to mechanophobic societies that exist. But, we don't need to remove them entirely. Surely we can just remove them from spawning normally, and can only actually appear in a round if a machinist decides to create one?
  9. Article #2 of the Consequences of the Future Arc Tau Ceti Foreign Legions reports to Valley Hale Following their staged removal from Mictlan, the Tau Ceti Foreign Legion has been reassigned to the Valley Hale region of the Orion Spur, with President Joseph Dorn of the Republic of Biesel announcing the movements to ensure the protection of the NSS Orchard Moon and the valuable mineral that it intends to harvest. Some fear the deployment of troops so close to the Serene Republic of Elyra may worsen the tension – with the latter still alleging that there has been territorial encroachment. Some of the Tau Ceti Foreign Legion has already arrived, supplementing the NDV Icarus and its patrols throughout the region, with claims that there have already been minor border skirmishes with unknown parties – a spokesman for the Legion confirmed that this might pose a threat to the armed forces’ ability to meaningfully exert control, but with the presence of NanoTrasen’s warship, will likely be dealt with quickly and efficiently. When asked to comment, both NanoTrasen and the Republic of Biesel reported that hostile parties have been engaged in Valley Hale but both were quick to deny theories that the Serene Republic of Elyra was responsible for the attacks, stating that the idea is "unfounded and fear-mongering in nature" and that while the region is well within the borders of both Republics, warlords from the former Solarian territories, pirates hailing from the Empire of Dominia, and other rogue parties are known to operate in the region. It is believed that fears of Elyran attacks on Biesellite vessels stem from a false report of an incursion on the SCCV Horizon, which has been denied by all parties involved. The NSS Orchard Moon is expected to allow normalcy to return within the next few months, with travel in the area by Stellar Corporate Conglomerate vessels steadily increasing as the vital phoron-extraction facility continutes to soldier on in earnest. NanoTrasen has reaffirmed its goal of working closely with the other megacorporations regarding the facility, quoting the success of the NSS Aurora following the integration of contractors from other megacorporations that now make up the Stellar Corporate Conglomerate. Date: 11/09/2464
  10. The consensus is an agreement to a overhaul, but we're going to be doing in staged development. Stay tuned.
  11. Article #1 of the Consequences of the Future Arc Beginning of the Arc Orchard Moon Complete; Icarus Arrives Construction has been completed on the NSS Orchard Moon, supposedly the Orion Spur’s saviour. It finds itself nestled within an array of deep space asteroids inhabiting the southern Corporate Reconstruction Zone. However, the Orchard Moon deposits are less than the ones found across the Clandestine deposit, it will still bring much-needed relief to the phoron scarcity that plagues the interstellar community. NanoTrasen has confirmed that the NDV Icarus has been dispatched to ensure the protection of the NSS Orchard Moon in a capacity similarly seen when it was stationed in close proximity to the NSS Aurora; which has now seen itself in a diminished capacity as a result of the decreased phoron deposits. The Stellar Corporate Conglomerate has affirmed that this is a venture solely by NanoTrasen and that it will not have a share within the facilities. However, NanoTrasen has announced its intention to work closely with the other constituent megacorporations of the Conglomerate that have proven to be invaluable to the future of the Republic of Biesel, and its sovereignty that has been tried and tested numerous times. Date: 11/02/2464
  12. Craterview Fireworks Extravaganza Craterview hosts its annual fireworks extravaganza – having first started almost two and a half centuries ago, after a particularly bountiful fishing period. It has since become yet another by-product of the celebrations throughout Tribusti de Colonist, integrated and welcomed as the explosive cherry on top of the cake. Today, it doesn’t just signify the celebration of the planet’s colonisation, but a solemn event for the lives lost throughout the last two years. As it comes to a close, Pyrotechnic Expert Kharrijon Takranjroh – who comes from the Democratic People’s Republic of Adhomai – leads the Craterview Fireworks Extravaganza, after proving the value of their unique skillset almost five years ago when they first became the leading organiser for the event. There will be a moment of silence before the fireworks are launched from a safe distance away with the use of a floating platform. It will be broadcast across the extranet for Biesellites to watch – both those at home and those across the greater Orion Spur. Distance doesn’t matter, we’re all Biesellites within our hearts.
  13. Belle Cote Celebrates Multicultural Elements The Belle Cote Annual Fashion Show has commenced, hosted by Idris Incorporated’s Cashien Jewellers and Le Soleil Royal, it is set to incorporate elements of the most notable planetary-member states – setting the trend for the next year within the Republic of Biesel. Chief Executive Officers Lubanzi Idris and Emilie de Coutuier announced themselves returning as the masters of ceremonies, for the sixth consecutive year, sometime in September. Though the Fashion Show will only commence tonight, the city has already seen an influx of tourists from across the Orion Spur – even from the far reaches of Assuzione. Acting Director of the Stellar Corporate Conglomerate Miranda Trasen was given a ticket to partake in the festivities and confirmed that she’s preparing to make a presentation. This seems consistent with the increased number of Belle Cote police officials patrolling throughout the city’s streets.
  14. Remembering Our Foundations Colonised three-hundred-and-seventeen years ago, Biesel has certainly had a colourful history. Though it has evolved considerably since its colonisation, Biesel still reflects back on its foundations, serving as a beacon of liberty, opportunity and new pastures for those across the Orion Spur. In recent times, Biesel has become home to an array of species – not just humanity. Stretching from Skrell to Synthetics, it has become a multicultural basket, blending and assimilating within one another and producing the Biesellite Culture that it is today. Cities across the grassy knolls of Biesel celebrate Tribusti de Colonis different, such as Belle Cote which hosts its annual fashion show – reflecting the upcoming trends in the fashion of the Republic of Biesel, likely to see considerable influence from the integrated states of Mictlan and Port Antillia – a sign that those within the Corporate Reconstruction Zone are beginning to assimilate. The Craterview Fireworks Extravaganza has confirmed that they will be adjusting their usual programme, paying homage to the lives lost in the last two years since the Orion Spur was thrown into the deep end of chaos – and remembering the colonial roots and foundations established by thesettlers of Biesel, and what they strived to build during the initial era of humanity’s expansion.
  15. The Solarian Invasion: Two Years On With Tribusti de Colonis fast approaching, it is important to reflect back on recent events which shook the core of the Republic of Biesel. In the last decade, the sovereignty of Tau Ceti has been threatened and intruded upon by the Solarian Alliance and its so-called rogue fleets that sought to ultimately destroy the Biesellite way of life. It's been only two years since the Solarian Invasion, where the Orion Spur united and supported the Republic of Biesel – culminating in the former’s collapse. The last twenty-four months have seen Biesel pushed to the edge, incorporating new territories within the Corporate Reconstruction Zone, and welcoming new planetary-member states that previously were crushed beneath the iron grip of the Solarian Alliance – though it hasn’t been easy. Hundreds perished in the invasion, and the ensuing chaos that it created within the interstellar community. But, we’ve all strived and survived through the worst of it. Though the phoron scarcity continues, NanoTrasen’s recent discovery within Valley Hale may soon be an answer to all our prayers, with a possible restoration to a new normal. It hasn’t been easy, but the Republic of Biesel and the rest of the Orion Spur may finally begin healing from our deep wounds and grieve those that we’ve lost. Each and every person has been affected, in one way or another, but the recent interstellar events.
  16. Union State Banquets Hosted Last night, the Union of Port Antillia hosted various dignitaries from the planetary-member states of the Republic of Biesel; President Joseph Dorn, Presiding Speaker Ake Torvalds, Prime Minister Ladislao de Santos and the honorary presence of the Acting Director of the Stellar Corporate Conglomerate, Miranda Trasen. Premier Julien Guerrier, alongside several of his ministers, confirmed that they believed the banquet had been a successful event in securing the relations between the Union and the greater Republic of Biesel. Dozens of topics were supposed broached, according to an insider that oversaw the state banquet, including the Peacekeeper Mandate and its commencement on the Union of Port Antillia – which President Dorn vehemently denied, allegedly. However, President Dorn changed the subject, exclaiming his gratefulness for the Premier’s invitation – and the ability to enjoy the beautiful and verdant landscapes of Mirabel. Several ministers of the Premier’s cabinet also attended the state banquet, such as Isandro Burgos, Iara Galindez and Lorna Rieviere – who all had an opportunity to engage with the representatives of the planetary-member states, as well as the dozens of representatives from the Hephaestus Industries and Idris Incorporated that came along with Presiding Speaker Ake Torvalds and Prime Minister Ladislao de Santos, respectively. Departures shall occur tomorrow, with thousands of Antilleans expected to bid farewell to the notable individuals of the Republic of Biesel as they return to their homes.
  17. Port Antillia Welcomes Planetary-Member States Following Premier Julien Guerrier’s extension of an invitation to several other planetary-member states of the Republic of Biesel last week, they have finally begun touching down across the dozens of shuttle ports within Mirabel’s cities of Toza, Luisa and Hicotea. Acting Director of Operations of the Stellar Corporate Conglomerate Miranda Trasen and President of the Republic of Biesel Joseph Dorn arrived together, showing off NanoTrasen’s latest innovation -- the Wasp-Class Shuttle. Upon landing, a combination of secret service agents and combat androids filtered out and secured the two’s immediate surroundings. They found themselves welcomed by thousands of Antilleans hoping to get a glance at such notable individuals within the greater Spur, in addition to Premier Julien Guerrier. The three travelled through the streets of Toza in a Langenfield EVO, modified to a convertible that allowed them to wave to bystanders as they cruised throughout the city. Presiding Speaker Ake Torvalds, alongside several Hephaestus Industries representatives, choose to arrive within the megacorporation’s signature Iron-Class Shuttle – used for commercial interplanetary travel. Upon arrival, the Presiding Speaker engaged with several Antillean reporters, voicing the necessity of these state banquets to ensure continued mutual cooperation between Tau Ceti and the Corporate Reconstruction Zone. Minister Lorna Rieviere warmly greeted the Presiding Speaker, before escorting him to a Poplar Excursion waiting to whisk him away to the proposed location for the state banquet. Prime Minister Ladislao de Santos was escorted by several Tau Ceti Foreign Legion Corvettes en route to the Union of Port Antillia, where they remain in orbit following the Prime Minister’s descent into Hecotea. Alongside the Prime Minister, several representatives from Idris Incorporated are partaking in the state banquet. His arrival was somewhat delayed, but allowed for both Premier Julien Guerrier and Minister Iara Galindez to welcome the Prime Minister to the Union, where photographs were caught of the three walking towards the Premier’s personal Lagenfield Surveyor. The state banquet will only be held this upcoming Friday, but it can be assumed that these notable individuals shall engage in merry-making activities as thousands make their way to Mirabel to gaze upon the arrival of these prominent politicians, and the most influential individuals to the future of the Union of Port Antillia.
  18. I don't even see that many cyborgs on the Station, so I don't see the point in continuing hosting them - I mean, even AI has begun to wither. There isn't really a need for them, and as others have said, they seem to just hog all the work. I'd rather delegate engineering needs to the Matriarch for smaller Maintenance Drones if they're really needed.
  19. Throughout my time as a Lore Writer, I've seen several people comment on the Staff Complaints Section that exists on the forum. It seems to generally be rather negative, with some people sometimes being dissuaded from using it because they see it as some kind of attack against Staff, when that isn't what it is in reality. I think a name change would help curb these connotations, and instead emphasize what the aims and goals of the section is instead: Staff Review, or something along those lines. I think it conveys a more accurate idea as opposed to Staff Complaints, because in reality it is merely a review process as opposed to complaining about an individual.
  20. Foreign Relations for Port Antillia Minister Lorna Rieviere of Foreign Affairs has proclaimed that the Union of Port Antillia shall host delegates from several planetary-states within the Republic of Biesel, in line with Premier Julien Guerrier’s wish for further integration within the interstellar community. She expanded that while representatives initially from other planetary-states have been invited that there are plans in motion – congruent with the Premier’s wishes – for emissaries from the Solarian Alliance to be hosted within the Union. Prime Minister Ladislao de Santos of the Republic of Mictlan has confirmed he shall be visiting Port Antillia, accepting the invitation extended to him by Premier Julien Guerrier. He further added that he is excited to experience the the cultural richness of the planet, and cannot wait to cherish it. Presiding Speaker Ake Torvalds also accepted the invitation extended to the Parliamentary Republic of New Gibson. He expanded during his address to the New Gibsonite Parliament that meaningful bonds need to be sustained through habitual state banquets between the newly incorporated populace within the Corporate Reconstruction Zone and the Republic of Biesel’s capital of Tau Ceti. Unfortunately, Director-Governor Charles Arcos of the Commonwealth of Valkyrie had to decline the invitation extended due to ‘important political affairs concerning the moon’ due to the ongoing phoron scarcity. However, he asserted that following the clearing of his conflicting schedule that he is obligated to host Premier Julien Guerrier to solidify the Commonwealth’s support of the Union of Port Antillia. President Joseph Dorn of the Republic of Biesel and Acting Director of Operations of the Stellar Corporate Conglomerate Miranda Trasen were also extended invitations, and both have been accepted. Crucial to the smooth integration of the Union of Port Antillia within the greater interstellar community, Premier Guerrier has routinely asserted the need to strengthen the bonds between the three entities – Biesel, Conglomerate and the Union – in order for the planet to prosper.
  21. Proposal Selected by National Assembly The National Assembly debated throughout the week which proposal would be the most beneficial to the Union of Port Antillia, with notable claims by the Antillean People’s Party disavowing any introduction of non-Antillean corporations into the economy as it’d leave the planet susceptible to exploitation and corruption. However, the votes have been cast and Premier Julien Guerrier addressed the Union, captured below.
