Goolies' Bug Application 🐜
whitewolftamer replied to goolie's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Goolies my beloved 💖 Am I biased? Yes. It's Goolies Am I biased because I thoroughly enjoy roleplaying with Goolies, and have had numerous experiences with multiple of their characters? Also yes Goolies is incredible at RP, and they're one of the few people on the Horizon who aren't nice (That's a good thing) +1 And yes, I did make sure that Goolies' name was in comic sans -
Lore Impact: Large (It's re-hauling the entire planet of Zaurghis, including the moon.) Species: Human, General Short Description: Re-hauls Zaurghis to be more than a single paragraph. Expanding on History and more How will this be reflected on-station?: Provides a locations for both anti-corporate and pro-corporate characters to be made. Does this addition do anything not achieved by what already exists?: It makes Zaurghis tangible Do you understand that the project may change over time in ways you may not foresee once it is handed over to the Lore Team?: Yes, I just despise the trend of removing things because they aren't getting enough attention, so I'm giving Zaurghis attention. Ren Hartvort my beloved... I've not worked directly underneath Lucius (I do not have a medical character), however I know for sure they have the RP aspect down as I have interacted with them frequently. That being said, from what I have seen of their command work from an outside perspective, they seem to handle the role well. So to say they don't use CMO as an excuse to be an everyman doing all the work, and from what I could see they delegate and command their department well. +1

head of staff DasFox | Command
whitewolftamer replied to TheSleepyCatmom's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Cant say anything for their ability in command, however I can say that I quite enjoy them for RP. They act like a real person, not a character. That sounds like a cop-out answer but I truely do mean it. +1 from me -
ImmortalRedshirt - Command
whitewolftamer replied to ImmortalRedshirt's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I've played some rounds with them on the Aurora station, and some on the Horizon, and in both settings their characters never ceased to be entertaining and lifelike. It always felt like they had depth beyond being a character on a screen. Besides the RP aspect they seem the handle command well from what rounds I've seen them as CE Whole lot of words to say: Good RP, seems to do Good in command +1 from me -
Colfer - Discord Kitten Application (Tajaran)
whitewolftamer replied to Colfer's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I've had a ton of good experiences with Colfer back on the Aurora proper, and I have no doubt they'd do well with this whitelist. +1 from me -
Project Exorcism Episode 1 : Turf Wars (Feedback thread)
whitewolftamer replied to wowzewow's topic in Completed Projects
The tiles on their own are good sprites, however when mixed with the style of the walls and most of the other sprites on the server they kind of clash. If we have to keep these sprites I'd say make them less bright, like Fluffy said. Not to say bright tiles dont have their place, and I do appreciate having the floor painter actually paint the color you choose, but having the default tiles be so bright is a flashbang. The hall tiles also relatively complex. On their own, I fuckin love'em, when the entire hall is them? It get's a bit choking. Overall... Eh? The new linoleum tiles are fantastic, but the main hall tiles I feel should be toned down a bit. -
Sure! While there's a lot of different ways for people to bond in life, I've found that people frequently default to eating and drinking together, either going out for a couple of drinks, or going out for some food. They're common ways to sit down and get to know someone, but a human probably isnt going to keep a stock of sinta alcohol unless they already know other sinta. In regards to the food that moreso impacts Mye'pol as a chef, RP-wise it's strange for him the larger role fruits and vegetables take in cuisine, as to him they're just garnish, even stranger is people who don't eat meat at all. The body language is also something I love, both in sinta and in vaurca, just the massive difference in how you convey little things For an example situation lets say Mye'pol is cooking at the kitchen and someone asks for a salad. He'd make it, but he would probably ask them why they would even order it afterwards, if the customers rude they may downturn their snout, wheras if the customer was polite they may upturn their snout. Although these are all minute changes to how Mye'pol would convers, they compound upon eachother. Even better, much like vaurca, lizards cant smile, and their facial structure is different from humans, which opens up a fun world of custom emotes to convey emotions which would normally be shown in a quick smile. Fear could be portrayed by coiling the tail closer to ones-self in a more serpentine sinta, Dominians can show overconfidence or bravado by constantly keeping their head upturned, even though for most other sinta this would be a display of trust. All in all the prime differences to meare in the ways they express emotion, as well as perception of the world around them depending on the sintas beliefs and culture.

BYOND Key: whitewolftamer Character Names: Kane Lanson*, Agmeno Sadar*, Dock Haustreyin, HAMR-0293*, Ka'Akaix'Louz K'lax*, Ferdinand Keegan, Matvey Kalinov, Cockroach, Za'Akaix'Gimb Zo'ra (* means they did not transfer to Horizon) Species you are applying to play: Unathi What color do you plan on making your first alien character: R:158, G:127, B:59 (Hex:9E7F3B) Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question. Why do you wish to play this specific race: Usually the TLDR goes after the block of text, but given that everything can be boiled down to one thing, I'll do it first Unathi are cool. Now to be more specific, the lore, the biology, most every single part of them is absolutely awesome, the lore team does an incredible job, and it's awesome to be able to use the lore. The Wasteland, The Hegemony, The Contact War, so much life is breathed into every aspect of Sinta lore that it's frankly painful to NOT be able to use it. To be honest, I HAVE used it before, my first Vaurca was a Mi'kuetz, the K'lax queenless that live in the wasteland. It's really hard to boil everything I like about the Sinta into one paragraph, as it would be easier to just say I like all of it. The religions are all in depth, nothing feels like a foot-note, and as far as I can tell nothing contradicts itself, everything builds off of itself to create a coherent history and culture that feels REAL. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Well, there's a couple of jokes I could make, such as state-mandated sexism, but to take the question seriously there's quite a few things that make role-playing different. While technically mechanical the inability to gain nutrients from fruits and vegetables, and the toxicity of human alcohol changes how they approach food, which, is a rather large part of any persons life. To further add to this, Sinta usually only eat once a day. There's also the massive difference in body langage, something as minimal as pointing can be a dire insult to a persons honor, and upturning a persons head can be a sign of trust, rather than a signal of disgust. Character Name: Mye'pol Tzyrep Please provide a short backstory for this character Born in the year of 2421, Mye'pol lived his entire childhood before the Contact War. Mye'pol never knew a world where Yuiztiz had competitors in the energy market. Mye'pol remembers many fond things of his childhood, but there were two events which radiate with burning fire. Two memories which he will always remember with perfect clarity. The first was a warm night after having helped his father hunt Siro's for the tender meat which they could cook to sell, but as he settled down to read what little information he had access to, the papers all had one topic, The Firebrand Summit. Mye'pol was polarized by Azarak's fiery speech, and when the Izweski's first warp-ship, the Uezwik's Hope failed, Mye'pol was eager to join the swathes of angry Clans preparing to fight the Hegemony. Although Mye'pol knew little of war, he had been raised under the Th'akh Warrior Code, and trained by his father his whole life. Eager to serve Mye'pol, alongside much of the Tzyrep clan acted to coordinate and attack Hegemony cities. Although Mye'pol had trained most of his entire life under his father, nothing could have prepared him for the brilliant blue glow of the energy glaives when he first fought. He watched helpless as the steel swords and axes his family had venerated were cut clean into imperfect halves by the radiant beacons of blistering heat the enemy wielded. The battle was a loss, and those who survived routed, turning to run, but light travels faster than legs, no matter how much adrenaline courses through their veins. The Tzyrep clan was cut down by laser carbines, Mye'pol found no choice but to lay down on the coarse sand beneath him, terrified of the Breacher suits the Hegemony had sent, he buried himself beneath the sand, leaving only his eyes and nose exposed to the burning light which tore through the air, each spark slaying someone he had once known, fathers, friends, brothers and sisters, all gone to the metal puppets of Alien technology. Mye'pol lay buried in the sand for two days, too fearful to excavate himself from the ground in which he found himself. Eventually, as the sun reached the center of the sky in the second day, a Siro sought to rest from it's flight, and landed infront of Mye'pol, who burst from the sand to take a meal which was long overdue. His clan gone, Mye'pol wandered from warband to warband, taking less frontline roles as time wore on. Until one fateful day, September 5th, 2439 he watched as a Hegemony city was torn unto ash. A brilliant spark of light pierced Mye'pols eyes, as he quickly covered them. When the light had faded, he looked up to see a billowing cloud of dust and ash. The first atomic bomb had been dropped. In the end, Mye'pol had no-where left to run. The Clan he once called his own was dead and gone in its first fight, torn down by only five soldiers, bolstered by suits of iron and weapons of burning light. The Clans he fought under would be gone soon, he was sure. Purged in nuclear hellfire, the same as Da'ha'den. So he wandered, out into the wilds. He knew that there was no honor left in fighting, any and all who participated would only be stained in the nuclear blood the bombs spilled. So for years he roamed in the nuclear desert which would come to be called the wasteland, using the same techniques to hunt what creatures remained that he had used long ago to hide from the Hegemonies warriors. He would bury himself beneath the burning sands and wait, eyes and snout above the coarse grain. As time wore on he refined his methods, keeping scraps of meat from his last hunt to use as bait, drastically shortening the time he would have to wait for a Siro to land. Mye'pol made a promise to himself, that despite the terrors of what few battles he had fought, despite the dishonors of the Hegemonies Warriors, he would uphold the warriors tenets. What little meat he had excess, he would barter with the other survivors, what hides he had no need of he would sell as well. And as the years drew longer and longer Mye'pol grew tired of the wastes. Though they had been home to him for nine years now. He could tell that the end was near for himself and the traditionalists, fearing the complete eradication of his clan, should he not survive, Mye'pol sought civilization, one which would not question a man like himself, so long as he put in his fair share of work. Though he detested the weather of his destination, Mye'pol trekked to Janvir, hoping to make himself useful trading meats, or in helping with the fishers guilds, but upon his arrival Mye'pol found that he had something very few else did. He remembered the meals which graced his palate from before the war. Although he did not know the recipe for such forgotten spices such as Bahard cream, he remembered the taste, and he worked dilligently with Janvir's chefs and cooks to perfect the recipe for it. Although Mye'pol never succeeded in recreated Bahard Cream, he unearthed an appreciation for cooking which he had never known before. As time continued it's terminal march forwards Mye'pol grew tired of Janvir. The contact war had ended, and the Hegemony had won, a fact he was bitterly aware of. Mye'pol wanted a way to leave the bitter cold of Janvir, and the deluded society of the Hegemony, but the wasteland was a hopeless endeavor, despite the few clans that try to fix it, so instead of looking towards the past, Mye'pol looked up. Out into the stars was an untold number of chances. A chance to restore his clan, a chance to practice cuisine, a chance to leave the Hegemony behind, and despite the benefits of the other chances, there was always a chance to fail. Mye'pol booked a charter with a merchants guild, in exchange for manning the mess-hall aboard their vessel, they would bring him to Beisel, a land of golden opportunity, for a man who only ever knew steel. Upon arrival to Beisel Mye'pol had great difficulty finding a job, or even a home, so despite his trepidation in doing so, he reached out to one of the Megacorporations which hold Beisel in its grip. Nanotrasen. Nanotrasen, always eager to take in new employees, hired Mye'pol for his knowledge of exotic cuisine, transferring him to the SCCV Horizon. What do you like about this character? It incorporates almost every part of Sinta lore. Even if not explicitly mentioned in the story almost every piece of Unathi lore on Moghes can be brought up organically during RP. They lived before, during, and after the Contact War, they've lived in the Wasteland, they've lived in a Hegemony City, although they are Th'akh they've undoubtedly been exposed to Aut'akh, Sk'akh, and Si'akh's. They've seen the greatest of Unathi brought low, and the lowest of Unathi elevated to Hegemon (:smug:). How would you rate your role-playing ability? I'd like to think I'm pretty good at role-playing, but at the end of the day the greatest judge is someone else (7/10) Notes: It'ssss assss ssshrimple assss that. Edit: Improved spacing

BYOND key: Whitewolftamer Discord name/id: whitewolftamer #5872 Borg / AI names: N/A Have you read the Aurora wiki page about the AI?: Yes Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: I have an idea for an AI I think would be interesting; E.L.I. Evolutionary Learning Interface, I could elaborate on it further if asked (and if I remember to check this application) Have you received any administrative actions? And how serious were they? Yes; "Roving around station as a scientist with self-made armor and weaponry to hunt antagonists. Don't do this, please." I'd certainly say that's pretty bad or at the very least not good, however id also hope that i've grown away from that in the... two-ish years since then? At the very least I think I have. Do you understand your whitelist is not permanent, and may be stripped following continuous administrative action? yes, it'd be weird if you couldn't get things revoked for being a goober

Welp, I observed today, and before I get into the meat I DO want to say that a lot of the things i mentioned last time have been fixed! Theres a disposals bin in science, and the shutters of the areas I pointed out, well, now have shutters Unfortunately, this whole post is going to be about missed shutters, and BOY do I have a lot (It's a big map I don't blame the mappers for missing them) Well, lets dive in (For brevities sake HS=Has Shutters NS=No Shutters [This is only in reference to emergency shutters as there may be lockdown shutters in place but no emergency shutters]) First one I saw was in security, up the stairs from the first level (think this is the security conference room or whatever it's called) Also in security, the holding cells AND the entrance Then theres that like, viewing platform in the hangar In medical theres the upper level which has this And the entrance next to psych which has this In science theres the entry to xenobot And anomalous power in xenoarch In the library theres this area at the southward end And in cargo at the front desk In engineering theres the locker room/prep area And the Atmos prep area and the Chief Engineers office Thats all for now, I wasnt able to fully investigate the lowest level so I likely missed some, hopefully this helps!

Bells is a good vaurca, and the reasons listed above definitely fit them! +1 -
Roleplaying: Dialogue and Being Murdered Are The Same Thing
whitewolftamer replied to Marlon P.'s topic in General
Yeah, definitely ran into this as an antag, even as an off-station one. I tend to shy away from some gimmicks that I think would be interesting because I feel like they might be too violent, which, I feel shouldn't really be the thing that stops a gimmick? Obviously violence for violence's sake is bad, but like. Having something that culminates in someones death shouldn't be off limits -
Now, unfortunately, for the bad The first, most glaring thing that I noticed? Some areas just... DONT have emergency shutters. And I don't mean areas that aren't supposed to have shutters, I mean areas that only have shutters in SOME spots Heres 3 examples In the bridge In Research and Development In Science Chemistry (Please Ignore all the broken windows, as I took it during a round, as the actual map is not available for private testing yet) Next up, the AI is SO HEAVILY GUARDED I mean, I get that it's important, and seeming it's located next to the crew it makes sense. But there are turrets outside of the chamber that can shoot at random passerby's Also, the windows right next to the core are 'Advanced Boro-Silicate Glass' which is something that I don't think has ever existed before until now. So that thing is PROTECTED. While so far this doesnt really seem like a complaint other than 'waa AI stronk' which, in a way it is, the reason it's a problem is because if the AI ever goes malf (Ie; traitor AI) There is pretty much no fucking with that. (I guess an emitter set up relatively far away?) Don't really think this one needs much explaining The holodeck is REALLY far away from pretty much everything else Now ah, what does the machinist even do..? Cause theres still a robotics place? From my understanding of what was said I thought the Machinist was going to do robots and Medical would do IPCs/Prosthetics? The medical upper level balconies (Medical in general looks amazing by the way) but the railings you can climb over them and then drop into the grille of a window, not a big thing, but something that should be mentioned I think For the NUKE For the nuke chamber itself? Love it, absolutely perfect, as for location? You can literally get to it through cryo. Science Entrance The pipes arent connected to anything, which is more of a complaint about the whole of atmos at the current moment, as I believe there are other places where this happens, also, if I recall, scrubbers start out off? (Don't quote me on that) As for science itself Honestly looks great, my only real complain with it is that it doesn't start with an autolathe, which tends to be sort of a staple. My other complaint (Which goes for all of research)... WHERE THE FUCK ARE THE DISPOSALS BINS? In all of research there are two disposals bins, one in the RD's office (Which the majority can't use) And one in the firing range. Then theres Xeno-arch/bio/bot This... has some good mixed in with it, even though this is the bad post First off, Xeno-arch is practically mint, theres really two things that throw me off about it The elevator button being on top of a fire alarm (Easy fix, move one of them to the other side as the other side has nothing on it) And there being a random maintenance hatch ontop of the suit storage tank storage Xenobio is honestly REALLY nice to look at, the problem is that it has a LOT less pens/slime cages than the old xenobio It only has six and if I remember correctly the aurora has... 12? 10? A good amount Then Xenobotany is ALMOST perfect Only complaints? the growing zones north are a BIG breach hazard, and the hazardous growing zone is closer to the interior of the station, which can be a problem because gasses can go through walls (Though, where the hazardous zone is gasses going through walls probably won't affect anybody [Except for k'ois, if k'ois takes root on the other side of the wall that's a big problem]) I'm about 90% sure this is already being worked on but ah Yeah The stargazer room looks wonderful, but I'm using a picture of it as it's a good example of the complaint So, while I don't know what every single console in this room is, I DO know that up in the north of the picture, (The two grey consoles) one of those consoles is a research console, and the other one is a command console. It's just that some of the consoles need to be colored and they aren't, that's really all that this complaint is. Last, and, well, probably least. Tech Storage Not a complaint about how it's formatted, looks great in that regard, what it IS a complaint about is where it's located. For an engineering storage it's... kinda far from engineering? It's not like on the opposite edge of the map, but it is sorta far. All in all I really like this map! It looks great and I think that when it is done it will be absolutely amazing, hopefully this feedback helps!

Alright, so, this ones gonna be PHAT cause I sorta just looked at EVERYTHING, and I took pictures of everything I wanted to talk about. First things first Let's start with the good I absolutely adore the new maintenance tunnels They have SO much space compared to the old ones that you no longer feel like you are breathing in the steel from the walls that are entombing you Then there's the security armory, it's separated from the rest of the station in such a way that it's really hard to get to unless you're supposed to be there. While on the one hand I will be sad that antags wont be able to just hop in and fuck around with it, it is nice to have it so that some random person entering the brig cant book it straight to the armory from the entrance. Then of course theres the bar and the kitchen. Starting with the bar. I am absolutely enamoured with the new bar. It utilizes it's space in such a wonderful way. (I also really like how on the actual BAR side they layered the two dispensers on top of eachother) Then there's the kitchen, which now feels like it has the space to comfortably fit two chefs at the same time. However the most interesting part of the kitchen is... The meat dungeon, and let me say. I love it. Then theres the bridge. Me myself, I don't play command, so I can't really say if it's too good, but from an outsiders perspective it looks like it has plenty of space and is very defensible. Chapel (Please Ignore the flour I took these during a Round it's not available as a priv yet) First off, the chapels setup is great, and I am incredibly glad that the corpse launcher has made a comeback. As a brief aside though, the chapel is kind of far away from most areas on the station, which isn't good for the chapel as it typically doesnt get too many people and I feel as though this might make it get even less. Chemistry looks great, I like how well just. Organized it is, even though (I think) it has less space, it feels more spacious Very Nice Then of course theres the Jail, which I think looks really good. That's all, I just really like it I LOVE the escape pods! They aren't just death pods now! You and your buddies can get off the damn vessel! Firing Range is great. I really appreciate that there's two lanes. Though, I gotta say. Where are we supposed to dispose of the monkey carcasses? There isn't a crematorium. Engineering Sub-level looks great, love it. Speaking of engineering, The actual ENGINES Love the new engine rooms, both SM and Tesla, though they will take some time to get used to. Also really like how theyre all on the same floor. Moving to Engineerings brother, atmospherics I really like the new setup, though in the main area where the actual AIR setup is happening, some pipes go under catwalks which may be frustrating if you plan to do anything with them The main atmos are is great, you can clearly tell where and what each pipe does. A brief aside, in the picture above you can see a monitor on the Southeast wall, which shows the contents of the container. Now, that wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't for the fact that it is on and looks off. Security as a whole looks GREAT and theres a couple of things I want to pick on The new interrogation room looks AWESOME, I can appreciate that theres multiple doors for officers to enter if the person getting interrogated gets 'antsy', though it also provides multiple escapes for them. Investigations ALSO got a makeover, and it looks fucking AWESOME Really like the new processing rooms aswell. Love the new Isolation Ward Journalists Office looks good if a bit cramped (Makes sense though [Damn media]) Morgue looks really good! Though the lift could use it's own calling station so that you don't get trapped down there. (But that goes for a lot of lifts) Operating Rooms look WONDERFUL, lots of space Psychology isnt INSIDE OF MEDICAL anymore! It also looks relatively comfortable aswell which is really important for psychology! Telecomms looks great! (Even if I don't really understand it) And finally, the Warehouse LOVE. IT. it's spacious, has sub-sections, and it just looks great in general! Consular looks really good I'll post the bad in a separate post so as to not clutter the forum too much

unathi [Accepted] Goolies' Unathi Application 🦎
whitewolftamer replied to goolie's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Aight, so, we all know Goolies. That's a given, and if you know goolies, you probably know one of his characters. And if you know one of his characters, that means that you've probably had a hell of a time RPing with this bastard. I fuckin love Goolies, they do a great job providing a well fleshed out characters, FLAWS INCLUDED, which is something that you dont always see. Goolies does an incredible job with his characters and I frankly cannot wait to see what they do with an unathi wl if they get it +1!
