  1. An alteration to the previous post has been made. You may reapply 1 month after your denial date. Contact the Skrell lore team with any questions.
  2. I think Alb would be a great fit. I love working with them both from a lore perspective and a developer perspective. They know how to handle projects and they are very efficient. Working under them on the NBT sprites has been smooth sailing. I can easily give this app a PLUS ONE!
  3. Service manager will be a good addition IMO. The HoP has always felt disconnected from service even if they’re in round and the service manager role will open up a lot of fun roleplay avenues. As someone who plays service a lot currently, each individual role feels very disconnected (except chef and hydro). With the addition of the manager they can bring some cohesion to the department and allow more “service roleplay”. Plus having a role with a little more authority and no whitelist is always a plus in my eyes. I’m excited to see what characters arise and fill this position.
  4. From what I’ve seen in rounds that we’ve played together, you take IC issues way too personally and immediately resort to arguing in LOOC instead of talking it out IC. If I were to see a head of staff doing this in round it would be incredibly irritating. I don’t think this is a good habit and at this time I would have to -1 this application due to this issue.
  5. BREAKING: 100 Year Anniversary of Nralakk Population Initiative Translated to Tau Ceti Basic With the 100 year anniversary of the Nralakk Population Initiative (NPI) coming tomorrow we at the Warble Inquirer have received updated numbers; as well as an exclusive behind the scenes interview with the head of the program, Ormish Jrolk. However, for those who may be born after the program started, or for those who were not aware of it’s start, we offer a short recap. In the years before 2363 the Nralakk Federation saw a stark population decline due to the X’Lu’oa and it’s effect on the fertility of Skrell galaxy-wide. The Grand Council was tasked with finding a solution to this steady decline; and thus, the JPI was born. Originally meant to simply modify the genes of an infertile Skrell the program quickly evolved. While reversing infertility was simply not possible in most cases due to the reach of the X’Lu’oa, researchers quickly found that by taking samples of two willing participants and “merging” them into a Skrell-made egg an embryo would become viable. The ensuing offspring would be a near-perfect genetic split of the two donors. This information sent waves through the Nralakk Federation and the initiative was given additional funding by the Grand Council on the stipulation that numbers would become public every 100 years. Now after 100 years of the JPI, we are finally able to see its reach within our society and how effective it has been in improving our population numbers. We now have Ormish Jrolk giving us their first hand information into the program by giving updated numbers of those created through the program and what to expect for the future. Full details can be found in the interview below!
  6. I would personally be all for this.
  7. I think this would be a great addition and it could fill some of the “plot holes” that the languages currently have regarding different species. I would definitely want to see this implemented in some way! +1
  8. Thank you for the +1 it means a lot! This part that's quoted was actually my colleague @CoffeeToffee (they also have a spriter app up too!)
  9. After some feedback we went back to the old Heph colors for their engineering suits. We also touched up the T-Shirts a bit after some suggestions. Thank you for all the feedback given so far!
  10. With the adjustments and the list of expected questions this looks good to me! [APPROVED]
  11. So we've listened to some of the feedback here regarding uniforms. The new WIP uniforms for Idris service are here: CoffeeToffee has done the Janitor sprite here and I've done the rest.
  12. CoffeeToffee makes great sprites and I meant to give this a +1 sooner (but it somehow slipped my mind). Their sprites are very detailed and their work is gorgeous! Definitely would love to have them on the team!
  13. Does this mean it's okay? I promise I didn't copy
  14. Brotendo has been banned for this post.

One paragraph minimum per question. Why do you wish to play this specific race: Groot from Marvel is cool I want to kinda play like him so this is close enough. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: A universal sense of conditional pacifism. Access to the species' unique language, Rootsong with,q prefix. Character Name: Preaching To The Choir Upon Rustling Leaves Please provide a short backstory for this character: They are a 57-year-old Dionae from the Royal Garden of Dominia. They have light bark and stand at about 6'2" as they believe height is important, having been grown in the Royal Garden of Emperor Boleslaw. They are a priest within the Moroz Holy Tribunal, sent outside the Empire to ensure that citizens outside are following correctly, and perhaps trying to bring new blood into the fold. Due to their growing up and blood memories, they have an extreme dislike of IPCs and Cyborgs. They are considered an Emphatic Echo, due to how social they are, and the needing of reading facial expressions. Speaks Tai Ceti Basic, Tradebrand, and Sign Language. What do you like about this character?: He kinda reminds me of groot. How would you rate your role-playing ability?: meh
  16. I do not think forcing surgeons, or medical as a whole, to perform brain removals for borging works with the setting. If anything I’m sure a lot of medical personnel would view this as “harming” someone and actively resist doing it. For instance, a lot of already existing Trinary Perfection, Dominion, or Skrell characters in medical would suddenly be forced to remove brains to borg people? That just doesn’t make sense to me and I think it would make more sense for roboticists to scoop out the brain and hook it up (since they already know going into their job they’re dealing with cyborgs). Just my opinion though.
  17. +1 I love it and think this would be great. I’m actually starting the PR now
  18. +1 I love sleepy’s command characters and they bring genuine, enjoyable roleplay to the round. It would be a shame for them to lose their whitelist permanently.
  19. I enjoyed the event! I loved boarding up the station on various extended rounds and hiding with coworkers. Even though one of my characters died at the casino I did love the vibe of being hunted.
  20. When framed like this I think the service manager is a fitting role. It’s nice to have that intermediary role between staff and command.
  21. Awesome! You seem receptive to the proposed changes and rest of your app was great! [ACCEPTED]
  22. Their CE is a good character from both a Skrell standpoint and a command standpoint | +1 from me!
