I might find your reasoning more appropriate if you had not also taken out a spawn point according to turtle. Sorry but i do not really think some bombings and incendiary grenades are a good enough reason to detonate a super matter core near a spawn point. We also do prefer antags ahelp when they take on round altering things like that. Atmos and the engines power source are mandatory and similar catastrophic events are up to the judgement of the staff member. I think a supermatter core counts since its an explosion thats larger than the bomb comp. correct me on that though, i might be wrong.You dont have to get bombastic about your bomb threats but i do expect you to make a super matter explosion somewhat interesting BEFORE hand. After all this you only netted a warning. A warnings only purpose is to serve as a reminder for you to not do a thing or to handle something differently. In this case all you have to do is make a super matter explosion a bit more interesting before hand or THE MORE IMPORTANT PART ahelp before hand. thats it, do that and thats as far as this warning has to go. We are not applying any rule retroactively. I would have warned you for this a year ago. This staff complaint is unfortunately not the place to debate our rules and moderation policy as a whole. Our staff has always been much more interested in the spirit rather than the letter of the rules. This is however an argument i am personally quite interested in though. If you want to make a post in the general forum or something i would gladly type you out several novels giving you my reasoning on why we do things the way we do.

If i choose to view more info on each of those seven mirrors it will show me IPs and alternate CIDs you tried to login as. You have no explanation for this? also i cant track down the original ban but that might just be a database error since your account Acidstormxyz has notes thats are over two years old.

So from Turtle's reply it looks like there is a great deal of confusion about what exactly the issue is. You where warned for having improper escalation to warrant blowing up a super matter core in a high traffic area. Sure maybe the wording of the warning needs to be changed. What exactly WAS your reasoning for blowing up a supermatter core in that area? Also, this here. Doesn't really matter what the server population is like. A bomb in a high traffic area still needs to be escalated properly.

I cannot find your original ban. You must have used another ckey. The ban reason "griefer" is literally the default reason that shows up if we dont add a ban reason. I can only assume you did something pretty silly. When i checked you in the unban panel i noticed your ban has been mirrored SEVEN times. You have attempted to dodge this ban once every month or so and twice this month alone since your original ban. Any thoughts or comments on this?

The amount of misinformation here is astounding. First off you broke character by quoting a line from the terminator movie. It was not really a big issue and all i did was tell you to stop. You argued with me and gave some nonsensical excuse about being a "meme historian" or something. I told you that was not acceptable. I felt i was pretty clear on that and i figured the issue would have ended there. I then find you later challenging the AI to a meme duel. I literally look for any reason NOT to ban someone, in fact that attitude has gotten me into quite a bit of trouble in the past. When i give someone a warning/tell them not to do something i do expect it to be taken and then not repeated. You chose to do the exact opposite of what i told you to do. I go out of my way to be respectful and i dont appreciate it when someone pulls the exact opposite of something i said. It shows me you have no respect for me or the rules here. I do not think its unreasonable to expect the same respect that i give. Also you where not "banned instantly with no chance to appeal" i spoke with you at length and explained to you exactly why i was banning you. I then explained on your unban appeal why i was denying the appeal. In this case tish is right, we dont accept unban appeals ever for 24 hours. TLDR i told you not to do a thing, you did the thing again anyway. you got banned for it. its really that simple dude and nothing is going to change about it.

I am super conflicted on this lads. On the one hand this is literally just sitting at an arcade machine the entire round and collecting toys. On the other hand.... i dont think i have ever seen someone accomplish it. It sort of feels like it would promote too weird of a precedent if i put this in. What happens if someone else manages to collect all 11? Do i put them in the hall of fame too if they make an app? Is this one somehow sacred? I dunno...thoughts?

Discussed this complaint with serveris a bit ago. The principle of the warning is fine, we dont think beating people up and causing a ruckus is enough to invoke the clause dreamix posted. We look for a clear intent and a good reason for things like this. Even still the reason roderick had wasnt too bad of one. We do however pretty strictly enforce people asking permission to do a few things. Messing with atmos/the engine, bombs in high traffic areas, and messing with the escape shuttle. Doing so keeps us in the loop so we dont go "WTF why is X doing Y" and covers your own behind. I have modified the warning's wording to better reflect this as trick admitted himself he phrased it poorly. With that i think this issue is mostly resolved. Its hardly a warning we will hold against you if you gank a janitor or memepost IC. Thoughts?

First off i apologize for letting this sit for so long. School starting up + a new world of warcraft expansion has made me forget this wonderful slice of heaven exists sometimes. Regardless i am still going to come in swinging so *cracks knuckles* This situation starts with brayce, roderick says it best when he says respect is a two way street. You entered into a situation you knew nothing about and immediately started barking orders. I understand that from your point of view it looked pretty bad and with the supernatural involved opinions are going to differ. Regardless a good leader at least gives the other party a chance to explain and certainly doesnt try to pull rank when they tell you to fuck off. You also by your own admission found yourself in the HoS office purely to piss off security. Thats the kind of stuff that gets you taken into a dark maintenance tunnel and harm batonned until your legs are boken. acting captain or not.The Captain who came in late is kind of guilty as well. You took the side of a fellow command member and signed suspension paperwork without interviewing the other side. You had an IRL thing come up so you handed the reins off to roadman. Yes there are standards security has to be held to but given the giant clusterfuck this situation was if i was going to job ban anyone it would be half the players who had a hand in this round. No i do not consider this "torturing a prisoner". They RPed something as the alternative was literally just him sitting in solitary. It was certainly a dumb move IC and something they should have AT LEAST communicated with command before hand but like i said everyone is kind of a diphead in this situation. Yes there is some OOC expectation of following the chain of command but its not holy scripture that must be adhered to. Especially given round circumstances. Fuckin hell people...

strongly disagree. In fact this game is at its best when the antags ARE NOT peaceful. Not having your antag preferences checked is fine but you have to remember you are playing on an RP server with antags enabled. you cannot opt out of all situations related to antagging. Its just not really possible. I dont quite understand why you think it should be removed from the secret rotation. It seems to me its just because "theres no way to do it peacefully" and "you dont like it". Which is fine, but you cant expect us to cater stuff just because someone doesn't like a thing.

This feels a bit too forced in my opinion. I mean i get that it was probably funny to a few people in the round but you kinda just...played off some subtle messages into a huge fetish thing. Chuckleworthy perhaps but deserving of a spot in the hall of fame? nope, sorry.
