You cannot tell me that Skrell helmets wouldn't be too loose for a human head because giant frog head. Also, their dumb tentacles would create extra weight on the back of your helmet, and really throw you off. +1

[2 Dismissals] Nerf Frag Grenades or Frag Grenade availability.
Snakebittenn replied to JKJudgeX's topic in Archive
What do you expect, it's a grenade? -
I'm hella in agreement with this post, we could at least try it.

A good while ago, myself and the other OG vaurca crew composed this feedback. Pls read it. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1i4yuk3oRuX6Jbi2c15ZI0RkNkHPWW--lQ1B79raS2cw/edit?usp=sharing

ATLAS Gathering - Biesel Storm Division
Snakebittenn replied to Zundy's topic in NanoTrasen Public Network
I, Kenell Kell, Cargo Technician Level One, would like to register my interest in this gathering. -
If we had any of these weapons (Which I'd prefer we didn't) I'd prefer them to be antag items.

because I don't have an actual response, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Make voting secret. You get the vote window, you put in your votes, and the vote count isn't displayed. When the vote is concluded, it simply states 'The vote has ended,' and you don't know what the result was. This would result in less metagaming, (seeing 99 sec and medical ready up for voted merc, less chaplains on cult etc,) and would probably generally result in a more positive experience. We could probably trial this for about a week and see how it goes?

[Accepted] MyNameIsLo Shell Frame IPC App <3
Snakebittenn replied to Espa's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Although I haven't seen Annika much IC, from observation they're a pretty good character. I'd totally trust them to play a Shell responsibility, +1 -
You'd be debilitated, the other guy would be dead. Remember that you're blowing it at him.

hey arrow remember in the op when I said and you will take 3u of cyanide

The real problem would be getting thralls easily. Both acquisition, and the fact that a large number of people would rather be decapitated with an axe than be subservient to the sling. Also, thralls being easily identifiable is not good.

Server Moderator Application Basic Information Byond Account: ParadoxSpace Character Name(s): AI Name(s): None in-so-far Preferred means of contact: Discord Age: 18 Timezone: MST When are you on Aurora?: From about like, 4 to about 10 Experience How long have you played SS13?: Since August 2014 How long have you played on Aurora: Since 2015 technically, but really started mid-2016 How much do you know about SS13 (Baystation build) game mechanics?: Plenty, been playing on Bay since 2014, and I'm pretty adept at the unique stuff Aurora has. Do you have any experience moderating for an SS13 server?: Nothing significant. Have you ever been banned, and if so, how long and why?: On here, I haven't. I have one ban that I can remember on Baystation, I believe really early 2015, for d/cing post-arrest. Personality Why do you play SS13?: One, because it's one of the few games that runs really well on this laptop. Two, because I've had an intense passion for it, I can't seem to shake it and I love most every round I play. Why do you play on Aurora?: The server atmosphere appeals to me, as an HRP server it's already a plus, but somewhere where I can have some chill-ass, quality civilian action. What do moderators do?: Moderators, in my opinion, do most of the more bureaucratic stuff for admins. While admins do most of the mechanical stuff, moderators are there for the backstage stuff; gather the information, fill in notes, etcetera. What does it mean to be a moderator for our server?: A dual-role likely consisting of mentor-level stuff like 'how do I nuke, how do I engine', and behind-the-scenes work staffside. Why do you want to be a moderator?: I want to fuel my passion into this server in a constructive way. Devving is hard as I can neither easily fork Aurora.3 or search it (perhaps sometime later). But I consider myself a knowledgeable person, and someone who is generally patient with other people, so I believe moderation is right for me. What qualities do you possess that would make you a good moderator?: Patience, game experience, and an overall good grasp over my emotions when in a role such as this. How well do you handle stress, anger, or insults?: Pretty well, I fully believe I can easily keep my cool in this role. Anything Else You Want to Add: Nothing I can think of right now.

It'll be a traitor implant costing some arbitrary amount of TC. You put it in yourself, and you gain a Bite-Down verb. This makes you bite down on the tooth, which releases a one-tile cloud of cyanide infront of you, suitable for either accidentally running into or for assassinating Baron Harkonnen the Captain. The target will take 5-6u of cyanide, killing them in a short manner if medical isn't super nearby, and you will take 3u of cyanide, which will leave you in a pretty debilitated state if you aren't prepped.

Essentially we just shift the entire tesla setup to the main level, and put the SM in the basement where it belongs. In my experience with her, it's a far better engine. It's more fun to set up, less 'push button and leave it alone,' and it has a way more interesting fail condition than 'everyone hallucinates a gang of monkeys punching them'. It's also probably less daunting to new engineers.

Basically, on /tg/, there are these things called AI shells. You can insert this board into either an empty borg exoskeleton, or an exosuit, and the AI then can then drive that shell around. Damage to its core will shunt it back into its core, and of course it can't permanently reside in the shell. Basically, I'd like something like that for here.

The letter of the law is "To continually broadcast unimportant, untrue, or insignificant messages on the public radio frequency." which is vague as fuck The intent of the law is "This is really only for people who are constantly spamming the radio, such as 'DJs' or Chaplains reading their services over the comms. Screaming fake messages like "halp security is beating me" when they aren't also counts." which is never remembered The use is neither of those. Often I see this reg brought up in mostly the following situations. -Coworkers roasting each other -A harmless conversation that the HoS doesn't want to hear -Cats meowing To me, like suspicious conduct, I don't see the reason we have this regulation in it's current state. It's very much just a tool for security to shit on you if they please. If it's code green, getting caught for this should be borderline unthinkable unless you're literally spamming the radio with WGW.
