1. KeloDerm is both an oversight, and a bug. It isn't intended for chems of the same exact effect to stack like that, as they are very old /tg/ era chemicals. You don't need this combination, it's just that the current medical meta of 'we must heal as fast as possible' encourages the use of such exploits.
2. I can do this myself no worries about code (hopefully.) As in the title, really. There's three lockers, three tablets, three export scanners, thus, there should be three techies. Especially to undertake the task of sorting the warehouse (and looting maint for stray crates and valuables) I hope this thread goes on for seven pages.
3. Generally, stealing things from people should be a little easier. Some inventory slots (I'm thinking mostly like, opening someone's backpack, or rifling through their pockets) should only have a chance of proccing the giant red 'URIST IS ATTEMPTING TO EMPTY YOUR POCKETS', maybe include some antag gloves that can make the process even quieter. Addendum: It'd be neat if stripping certain items was faster. You mean it really takes me like 15 seconds just to remove the hat from a man? Really?
4. If I could vote for dismissal, I would. There are many ways to combat someone with force gloves. Tazers. Lasers. Bullets. Even surrendering and giving the person what they want from you (Ganking does not count, as you should be ahelping.) A better solution is to raise the cost of force gloves to reflect their power.
5. The whole thing could stand to be more compact, somehow it's even bigger than current med.
6. You left out a couple minutes of logs at the start. teal deer is i was doing my service as a government agent in calling the mining cloak shit (the sprite is legitimately awful) and joked at snoopy for wearing it when jkjudge enters the room and says yay toxicity chada proceeds to tell him he has a low bar for toxicity, I agree that judge literally can't handle banter, eventually results in something like tough talk for someone who called all my characters throwaways (he said this like weeks ago) and me expressing again my grievances at jkjudge for that one time he openly admitted he was logging everything everyone said or something like that which still makes me uncomfortable generally I agree this got out of hand and I apologise to being harsh to jkjudge but his interjection into the conversation with calling everyone kids and such was unwarranted
7. They would be kind of nice to give the round a bit of direction, quests of sort. Cargo bounties atleast certainly spice things up.
8. A Sip of Vaurcaesian Culture By Yunyi Peng-Walker I was waiting in the line for what seemed like ten minutes with the Vaurca next to me. She was nearly towering next to me, but no taller than seven feet, with a light orange exoskeleton. Pretty peachy, I'd say. "I understand you came quite a way here." The Vaurca nodded, raising the blindfold over her largest set of eyes and cleaning at them with her fingers. "Luthien izz a bit vhar, yes. But, our Queen hazz.. extended zzome efforts to your speciezzz, as Athvur hazz at the Aurora zztation.." There were a lot of people crowded around this part of Phoenixport, people of all races and cultures. Flashy prosthetic arms played around with the same pockets as long, flowing capes, sitting well under the height of three massive leather-jacketed Unathi. It was a sight to behold, really. I looked back to my Zorane companion, herself dressed in just some gear straps and a cloak of some remarkably tough fabric. I admire her simplicity. "So, Koth, for our readers at home on their tablets and holoscreens, what exactly goes into making a can of Zo'ra Soda?" She clicked her mandibles together, making a frightening chittering sound before turning to me. Another step forward in line, we were getting close. "Firzzt, we have the V'krexi. Thezze are very similar to your "wazzps" really. They can vhly very vhazzt, but for much longer dizztances and with much more zztrength if fed by their larvae. They zzecrete this nutritiouzz mixture, a little boozzt, tazztes a little bitter maybe. We mix that in with variouzz vhlavors. No k'oizzz or vhoron needed. I'm told our mozzt popular vhlavor izzz cherry. But, we have venom grazzz vhlavor, even k'oizz flavor." "And these are drinkable by all species?" "Of courzzze. We do have one vhlavor for ourzzelves, Drone Vhuel. Humanzzz.. don't react zzo well to such potenzzzy." "What's your favorite, Koth?" She wiggled her antennae, grinding her mandibles together in some kind of deep thought. "I have had to tazzzte test many of vhlavors, there are about four that never zztuck, but the best is Klaxan Energy Cruzzzh, perzzzonally. Many of uzz enjoy High Octane Zorane Might." We were finally there, at a single vending machine, no one behind us. Plenty of people in the crowd were sipping away at cans of all colors, and I must say they did look like they had more pep in their steps. I looked at the list of flavors, finally settling on something called 'High Octane Zorane Might.' I swiped my PDA, took my can, and Koth and I sat down on a nearby bench, the steel letting out a faint croak under Koth's weight. The can was.. certainly intimidating, nearly six inches tall, three around. I sipped. The flavor was similar to having a freezing cold spear driven through the bottom of ones' mouth, except the spear is coated in acid laced with bees and salt. It was the most intense flavor I've ever had, and I've had Ras'val Clams. But a minute later, I was feeling wonderful. I felt like I could run from our bench to the frontier and back, and I wanted to. "Yezz, I smell the adrenaline. The Queen of Corpzzes does not cut cornerzzz." She waved her antennae happily, sipping at a black can with navy highlights. Drone Fuel, as said. I think that's one flavor I can skip out on. Editor's note: Queen of Corpses refers to Ta'Akaix'Xakt'yagz'isk Zo'ra I went home satisfied, brimming with new energy. I think it's safe to say Zo'ra Soda, whether your skeleton is on the inside or the outside, will grow on you like k'ois.
9. since apparently this is required https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/5160 this PR adds a Zorane energy drink drinkable by all species and its' own vendor (since Getmore is not associated with Robust Softdrinks) Zo'ra Soda contains VAAM (V'krexi vomit) which is similar to nicotine. The drinks themselves are energy drinks, particularly High Octane Zorane Might. C'thur Rockin' Raspberry and Royal Jelly (it gets you high) are available as contraband in the vendor. apparently i need feedback on whether it should be in its own vendor like and subscribe to enter my giftcard giveaway
10. As an occasional chef player, please do so. I have no idea why burritos are so expensive.
11. If I may interject, the last actual Security dress code posted by CCIA (by SierraKomodo) just states Security need to wear department colors to be identifiable as such.
12. Ckey/BYOND Username: ParadoxSpace Position Being Applied For (Species Maintainer, Wiki Maintainer, Lore Developer, Deputy Lore developer): Deputy Vaurca Lore Developer Past Experiences/Knowledge: I am the Baystation12 IPC loremaster, and have been involved in numerous secret raids on other HRP server's lorebases. Examples of Past Work: https://docs.google.com/document/d/10MoynvD_KufAxrXYOW-NgtVoSGjBlOt1hTj-J7d4WuI/edit?usp=sharing (Made with the aid of Jackboot and ElgeonMB of Polaris.) https://docs.google.com/document/d/1XBlttnF9p7fMqC8-PVqeOoy2Ev6egcLNqBlcwIcxyqo/edit?usp=sharing https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Ck4wfPIlzqFpZUNfTnuFcpspn9Gm2AQpj7IeP4qVCps/edit?usp=sharing Additional Comments: This is the Bygone custom section. Really I'd like to help elaborate on Vaurcaesian culture. So far all we really have for their culture is their virtual reality, and some things they've done on the planet Sedantis. I'd like to write more about what they're doing /now./ How they've dealt with human things such as movies and Levi blue jeans, what cells of Vaurca get up to in their apartments, how the different hives interact when they're together, hell, what unbound do in their spare time. Peoples' reactions to bound vaurca in their workplaces, y'know?
13. While I do enjoy this backstory, and I treasure the thought of there being more NKA cats skulking around, I have to echo Menown's statement, due to your normal character creation habit. I suppose +0.5

15. There's something about code red that always ends up as 'Everyone sit down and shut the fuck up and don't move out of your departments or arm yourselves for self-defense or we will kill you. This code is fun for only Command and Security level personnel.' I hate it, it detracts from the game and sequesters the crew away from interaction with the antag/event/whatever. It needs to be reworded or retooled.
16. As someone who's partaken in like atleast two events as an event character, there's an awful tendency for command and Security to try to sequester events away from the general public and generally keep knowledge/communication to the crew at large at an absolute minimum. During the tajaran refugee ebent we got shoved into a tiny area of the construction level and were never allowed anywhere without Security's noses in our assholes.
17. Yes, myself and Coalf have been over this, and I've readily said that I will attempt to keep myself in control in the future in OOC spaces.
18. Although our Queen of the Serbs, Croats and Slovenes only really leaves one reply in a ticket before then closing it silently 20 minutes later, I've never had a negative interaction with them whether OOC or IC, I find them extremely pleasant to engage with.
19. I find your attempts to distill my characters into mere snowflakes both obnoxious and hyperbolic. It is nearly every single one of my characters that have internal and external changes, goals, achievements, dreams and fears. I would rather you have made a complaint if these issues were so egregious rather than foul my whitelist attempt, but since I am a reasonable person, I will counter your post. Please do not let this last more than a half page, for sanity. The first incident in which you described was myself, Faysal Al-Shennawi (as played, of course, by Alberyk) and a couple of other Cargo staff were attempting to hold out on a code red situation (I've no recollection of why it was code red.) Faysal, the HoP at the time (a role with direct oversight over the operations and staff of Cargo), saw it fit to arm us with bolt action rifles, and whatever else we could reasonably and inexpensively get our grubby hands on. You, Marc Price, the Head of Security, then saw it fit to intrude upon our department with two other Security personnel, forcefully that is, and demand the confiscation of our self-defense equipment while the aforementioned catbeast informed you our armament was fine. When this clearly did not work out in your favor, you elected to fire stun shots and clouds of pepperspray in our general direction, attempting to handcuff one of our staff. We then made our way towards the cargo break room, and you pursued. I did, yes, tell you to 'fuck off', and I did, yes, fire a shot in your direction. We later escaped towards the pods as you branded us en masse as seditionists and mutineers. The second round, which I'm sure you're speaking about, was a round in which we raiders demanded financial compensation (for our mesothelioma) of 10,000 credits and four canisters of phoron. While the crew, largely Willow Harper and Shane Castralo attempted to gather this, you actively worked to halt them, branding them seditionists for taking alternate methods. I say 'alternate methods' as negotiation had never crossed your mind, rather you took it upon yourself to have a firefight with myself, I believe Deathless Death, and Cassian Graves (who we later held hostage as a bargaining chip.) It is simply your tendency to use force, threats of physical violence, and endless accusations of mutiny/sedition in order to have other people kowtow to your will. Another round I have had post-round OOC salt (who doesn't salt in post-round OOC?) was a round in which you refused to listen to an ERT trooper, Special Trooper Vasili. Though I cannot recall at this time the exact circumstances of this round, I believe it ended in the revelation that Marc Price was unimplanted, and thus, everything was fine. My confusion, and frustration at that, was merely that the character should not have to be implanted in order to act in a reasonable non-antisocial fashion. Fortunately, that is all I have to say in this space, and I look forward to engaging with you ingame.
20. The server is never really below like 20 players, and we shouldn't have to balance around rounds where there's only 10 people.
21. I'm 100% faithful that I could chill a bit, and I'm certain I could make a character that deviates from my current trend of rebels without causes. I'd have to in this case.
22. BYOND key: ParadoxSpace Character names: How long have you been playing on Aurora?: Somewhere in like 2016. I have no idea, really. Been playing SS13 since August 2014. Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: Other collecting all the Infinity Whitelists to complete my gauntlet, I feel like my bitching and whining about command staff will only be solved by me seeing it from the inside, and maybe even learning to like Command. Why did you come to Aurora?: Bay got pretty slow around there and Polaris became.. well. Double plus ungood. So I was on the hunt for some new HRP experiences. Have you read the Aurora wiki on the head roles and qualifications you plan on playing?: Yeah. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplay, to me, is multiplayer storytelling. It's the job of everyone involved to help create and drive a narrative. That narrative can vary, but it should be the goal of everyone there to make it work. Some people have different roles in the end, some people are just there to serve as a murder mystery. Some are almost the protagonist, and some bring a little bit of conflict. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: Not only are they the senior-most member of a department, who can be looked upon for knowledge and help when things are tough, they also exist to efficiate that their department runs smooth, and that people who are throwing wrenches in the works are dealt with. Ontop of this, they have the most influence over the above roleplay narrative. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: Not only does every one of them willingly or unwillingly represent Command as a whole, they can also serve as a sort of reference guide for mechanical departmental questions. Nifty! I'd do my best to be a good resource as to department gameplay OOC, and to hopefully be one of the more approachable and affable command players. Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions. Character name: (Lucius) Flavius Cordus Character age: 35. Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): (Lucius) Flavius Cordus was born a week or two late, and it's perhaps because of this that their life achievements came in late as well. They were born to a relatively strict Solarian family, notably their family had very close ties to ATLAS, his father Vibius having been previously involved with GAIA. The integration into the more extreme party around the turn of the 25th century was largely provoked by a number of his father's friends having been slain by majority-Unathi raiders. By the time Flavius was born in 2425, a good number of his siblings were already voluntold into the Artemis Initiative as aspiring Guardsmen to the frontier of Sol space, and so would Flavius at eighteen. It took him until age twenty-one to have recieved the boot, his request for exoneration going deeper than planned. The young man had grown increasingly disillusioned with their barbaric acts, seeing little point in it all, having more interest in learning the culture of his enemies, and enjoying the 'finer things' the more liberal frontier had to offer. He was later exiled by the family as his reputation as a xeno-loving, promiscuous hedonist (ontop of his being the least of the litter so to say) had grown monstrous. Having little skills besides his wit, ability with a rifle (training he would rather wash his hands of), and a degree, he had signed up into training with NanoTrasen's Security detail, the top organization in the region at the time, going on a decade-long journey (fueled through pointed regret at his origins and a sheer amount of connections) to Head of Security, succeeding around when Tau Ceti had gained independence from the Sol Alliance. Unfortunately, this was not quite enough for Flavius, and he had grown tired of being reassigned from station to station, from organizing slime slaughters on the Antlia, to ensuring the Redemption staff were up to snuff. He still did not /feel/ in charge. Luckily, he was offered a position as 'eh, cushy middle management job, they'll call you Captain, buuuut you'll probably get bored of it' on the NSS Aurora. It was his chance. What do you like about this character?: I like that Flavius will have a somewhat different approach than most Command staff I see. He doesn't want to have to get his hands dirty any longer (though he is far from useless), and has always preferred using his words and charisma. He is heavy on delegation, and rarely makes public appearances out in the bar or such (a heavy user of holocomms, Sheev would be proud) saving them for when grave mistakes have been made. What do you dislike about this character?: I dislike that Flavius will have a somewhat different approach than most characters I play. Most of my characters are used to handling things themselves, getting their hands dirty, 'say that to my face irl.' I'll have to learn to play in a completely different way, which I think will be an adventure. (alongside me learning to get over my dislike of authorities.) What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?: Flavius is very intelligent, good at making plans and organizing people to solve them (in my ooc case especially if this plan is some unorthodox thing the Rebel Alliance would be doing), and despite being somewhat reclusive in his luxurious bridge most of the time, is very affable and more than willing to chat an employee's ear off or vice versa. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: Genuinely, I always thought this question was a 'gotcha', but I'm probably about a seven. Sometimes I let my OOC feelings accidentally break character, but I like to think I'm good at putting myself in the mindset of different people. I like to take the part and believe it. Extra notes: If you can read this, I'm not surprised, you're supposed to read these things thoroughly y'know.
23. Since I sure as fuck couldn't find one, and Comrade Moondancer suggested this be made, it now exists. Post your feedback on the new lore below. Personally, I am in major dislike of 'specialised nymphs' as it seems pointless and against how nymphs should really work. Also, pls get the societal organization out of my space trees. tyvm.
24. You can't stab someone in the eyes if they have literally any kind of eyewear ftr.
