Satanism is the worship of the self. Satan is used as a symbol for absolute freedom and power. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satanism Satanism has lots of different sects and beliefs. Some of them do worship Satan. Some don't. Such is life. Ahem, but more on the topic of Nar'sie's cult, I'm not a fan of having people have on their record "Yes, I worship a god that tells me to kill people." and I rather dislike cultists who go "I want to kill people for by god". But, I like the idea of having a religion of Nar'Sie that isn't, well, um, evil. Of course, the whole blood magic thing remains non-canon. Hmm, maybe, they wouldn't even worship Nar'Sie, just view her as a symbol of personal freedom...

I disliked the racists. Then I looked at Vitt's lore thingy for his party, and I went "Wait, wait, wait. This isn't how you do racism right. I could do this way better. You need to..." And thus this was born. It is my hope that this will at least make better racist characters, who aren't just "All aliums are stupids."

Fedora Helmet. Created by taking the detective hat and screwdrivering it to a space helmet. Has an object action call "Tip Fedora Helmet", that results in: "X tips their Fedora to you, M'lady" and causes them to take pressure damage if they're in space, and turns off their internals. Causes them to be laughed at if they're not in space.

Type: Faction Founding/Settlement Date: December 11, 2433 (Founding of most modern incarnation.) Region of Space: Mainly focused in the Sol Alliance, with several less proment branches in the UCA and Pan-Asian Confederacy. Minor presence in the mid colonies, mostly campaigners/missionaries. None-existant in the outer colonies. Controlled by : Not Applicable Other Snapshot information: Official Title(s): The Human Reunification Movement Headquartered: Nova Concordia Station, Mars Fulltime Volunteers: 9,213 Long Description: "It has been over four hundred years since we unshackled ourselves from the binding gravity of our homeworld. Four hundred years of our own blood spilled, making progress against all odds and at any cost. Our lives are built upon the towering graveyard of those who came before. Humanity is strong. We endure what others cannot, progress where others stagnate, and our long and proud history is etched with the richness of our culture. Yet still we devide, and weaken ourselves in such greed and lust for power. We as a species, however great, cannot hope to survive in the vast blackness of the universe if we turn our backs from Unity. Humanity's strength lies in each of us, a collective of individuals working as one, compensating for each other's weaknesses, and making our own unique skills all the greater. If humanity is united behind a common goal, even the heavens themselves would tremble before us. Unity!" -Lee Wen-Li, At the first HRM summit, June 23, 2434 HRM is a political movement that began on Luna in the fallout of the discovery of the Unathi. Growing out of the Pro-Human, Anti-Xenos sentiments that ran high throughout the Sol system at the time, HRM achieved lasting success by appealing less to Anti-Xenos paranoia, and more towards Human Pride and a hope for a better unifed humanity. In the decades following it's founding, HRM would employ thousands of Volunteer workers to campaign for human unity both within the Sol Alliance and in the Independent Powers of the Mid Colonies. Most of their work is to campaign for more open and cooperative relations between the Factions of humanity, hopeing to slowly mend the divides between humanity. In 2451 it's headquarters was moved to Nova Concordia, reflecting a further shift towards reaching out to a large demographic. HRM has moved far from it's roots, yet Anti-Xenos undertones continue to exist within it. The general sentiment is that Humanity is greater then the Xenos, and that it is Humanity's duty as the superior race to help uplift these poor unfortunates. In accordance with this goal, HRM has several programs regarding attempts to uplift the other races. Attempts to educate the Unathi in regards to human society and the value of hard work have been described as a "Work in Progress.", while similiar attempts regarding the Tajaran and Dionae are still only theoretical. Attempts to teach Skrell human culture and art have failed utterly. Never-the-less, HRM is considered by many to merely be a Pro-Unity movement, and it's strictly Pro-Human and mild Anti-Xenos slant is downplayed. In many ways, HRM is considered the more politically and economically correct alternative to many radical political groups.

Very decent Roleplayer. The backstory is rather vague, although I can trust Baka to pull off the character well. +1

Civ 4 is not the prettiest thing to look at. But it's definitely better looking then Alpha Centuri.

This should be an Event, where an STD starts spreading through the station. It would be silly.

So, how about instead of breeching the hull with their blast, Wielder bombs instead causes a smaller amount of damage (60 split between burn and brute), over a larger area, or something like that. Basically, it would make them less griefy since it won't cause the room atmos to be screwed over, and would make using Wielder bombs a more practical weapon-trap, since it won't cause as much station damage. Maybe it could also set people who are too close to it on fire or something.

I wonder how many people will end up jumping on (metal) foam grenades or EMP grenades. On that note, would they still gib? Because it would be silly and mildly funny if they still gibbed. EDIT: Bombsuits should result in them not gibbing, but still probably going into crit.

I loved this. I'm sorry the second half got shut-down by security. But still, very nice activity for extended, and excellent usage of the holodeck. But I still wish the holodeck bugged out and the entire crew got pressure crushed.

Medical Weirdness: Mathematically speaking, Entropy does place a hard cap on how old we can grow. But, to die solely of Entropy alone, is very hard. A great deal of factors play into how the body deals with Entropy, and Entropy generation starts getting weird over time, due to metabolism changes: Basically, with the advance of medical science, it isn't too far fetched to believe that a human in the 25th Century could live to two hundred or more. Of course, how it is done is a bit of an issue. Extensive correctional genetherapy, transplants, artificial organs, etc. Of course, apparently somewhere in those 400 years they figured out MMIs and got cloning to work perfectly, so they could just be sidestepping most of Entropy by replacing all irreversibly damaged cells.

Civ 5 was okay. The expansions for it require some serious balancing, and I'm not a fan of the hex system, but it's fun. Civ 4 was amazing, mostly because it has way better mods then Civ 5 at the moment. (FFH2 and Rye's are my personel favorites.) Alpha Centuri will never stop being the best. It's simply the most fun to play Civilization game, ever.

Tony Adams's HoS Whitelist application
Tenenza replied to a topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I've spent some time torturing harassing at Adams as a ghost, but I do that with tons of people. Honestly, I think Bokaza has improved as a player enough I don't have complain at them for simply existing. Eh. I'm willing to give you a shot, if only to see if you'll survive or not. Although, I've got a question: What would you do as a HoS with a horrible, horrible team. We're talking, 50% bald, 25% stupids who don't know SOP, 15% Snowflakes that can't do their jobs right, and maybe 10% somewhat decent people. Because Security is one of those departments that gets a whole lot of people sometimes in the stupider hours, and more often then not, a great deal of them are stupid and tiggerhappy. Every head has to deal with this problem eventually, and there are many different ways to approach this. -
Dibs on an Engraver. I want to see what madcap pictures they end up making.

This sounds more like an event then something that would happen every round.

Wait, you missed a step. Step 1: Kill all baldies and idiots. Step 2: Bomb Arrivals. Step 3: Bask in the glory of having the safest station ever.

Serveris6's Command Whitelist Application
Tenenza replied to Serveris's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Serveris has from what I can see, improved greatly over time. Compitent and fairly respectable. I'm more then willing then to give them a chance. +1 -
For what it's worth, I trust Sue enough to be responsible under stress. From my experience with Sue, she is very hostile, exceptionally so, but I don't believe it clouds her judgement. I believe she keeps a particular difference between her own opinions and her actions and judgements. Honestly, Sue's attitude is most certainly intimidating and somewhat inciting, but I don't believe that matters so long as her judgement is fair.

Emerging from it's anti-sensor cloud, Orpheus slowly converged on the crippled battlecruiser, contorting to position itself alongside Foe Hammer. Several of Orpheus's spires twisted across the hull of Foe Hammer, manipulators chittering as long lengths of power conduits were strung into the Foe Hammer's power grid. Fabricator and Salvaging modules were guided down towards the Foe Hammer, repairing what they could, and using what they couldn't as resources. The control center of Orpheus was in a frenzy. Intelligencer drone reports from the battle were still being analyzed by the data technicians, and already the news appeared grim. These bioships had outnumbered them overwhelming, armed with weapons capable of shredding even the heavy alloys of the Hegemony crusiers. Valiant and the rest of Orpheus's flotilla had been utterly annihilated. Whatever the enemy had been, they were a threat to the entire Hegemony.

Nanayanyanya's Tree Application
Tenenza replied to Nanayanyanya's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I've spied on Nanayanyanya enough to see that they're a decent and respectable Roleplayer. +1 -
Meh. Delta's proven themselves smart enough not to blow up the station given the chance. There is room for improvement, but I trust Delta to make an intereting IPC character. +1

The escape airlocks should have vents and airlock consoles. So that it is no longer possible to accidently space yourself, and that idiots can't space the entire escape wing. When the shuttle arrives, the consoles would automatically force open both airlocks.

+1. From what I've seen, a responsible and decent Roleplayer.
