In all seriousness I've got an idea for a group concept: Characters all from Nanotrasen Academy on internships at the Aurora for one year. They can be any species. Age has to be 17 unless vaucra, dionae or IPC - with those three it doesn't make much sense that they'd be doing essentially the last year of highschool but if you can make the concept work then sure. One character (preferably a head of staff) would be the Course Supervisor, overseeing the interns on the station RP wise. This character could certainly be a pre-exisiting one. This character isn't necessarily required as it could easily be an off station fluff NPC. Your character's background, reasons for doing the internship etc is entirely up to you. The character must be have an intern role which makes sense for their age (it'll essentially be only Assistant unless you can make some other concept work). All the characters are at least dimly aware of one another by sight and possibly name at first. Anyone interested in this? Questions? If so let me know here and we'll see if we can get a little group together, maybe even a little minor intro event on station if we have enough numbers.

So you want to be in a clique? Knife clique. Rules are simple, have you character carry a knife of your choosing. Maybe they have a carry permit for it, maybe they don't, maybe it's a table knife it's all good, it's all knife clique. Character doesn't have a knife. You're a dork, simple as. Get good and get with the knife clique.

Sorry guys, namely tbear, smog and ratboy for not replying on discord. The truth is I'd fallen into a downward spiral of addiction to steam hentai games. Turns out there's a veritable smorgesboard of hentai games available on steam at this present time. Intrestingly they aren't even locked behind an age barrier. When I clicked on Xcom 2 it asked me to confirm my age due to the graphic content within. There was one picture of an alien shooting another alien or something. Manor of Mystic Courtesans on the other hand opens up on steam with no age verification, its first image a tanned elf with visible, large, chic pierced mammaries. The rest of the images are much the same but many also contain male reproductive organs. The art style is quite good if not exaggerated. The prices are reasonable. The story lines tolerable. Does anyone else find it extremely difficult to not shitpost incessantly? As someone who does have a shitposting problem, I personally think the line between a solid post and a shitpost is blurred. Millions of these supposed normal posters are addicted to shitposting – a foul-tasting drug that makes you behave badly and feel wretched. Don’t shitpost again and don’t feel like you’re giving anything up: you’re not. Unfortunately I feel like I could lapse at any time. Do you think this is a permanent thing? Unless maybe it's environmental? Can anyone break the cycle of shitposting? Kindness I think is the best medicine when dealing with someone who has maybe been banned for overstepping the mark. When I came to join in the Aurora six years ago, I took a conscious decision that playing on a server where shitposting was illegal and trying to hold down a pretty challenging lore dev position would mean my avoiding shitposting completely. Once taken, the decision proved quite easy – it was as simple as changing gears. I was quite surprised, however, to find that the chief effect was not physical as much as it was mental – the depression and violent outbursts which had haunted me for decades gradually ebbed away. It took a while to realise that shitposting had been the equivalent of the Old Man of the Sea for most of my adult life. What are your experiences with shitposting? As the title says. I'm planning on returning to the Aurora and my character concept is a Solarian (from Venus) who is anti alien. One of his defining aspects is that he likes to watch aliens have sex with his wife (I got this inspiration from racial supremacists today) and was wondering if this would make sense in lore? Thanks in advance.

I think it's a good idea if a coder believes it's worth the time. I'd make.all my characters "they" and flesh them out in my flavor text. I'd go so far as to make biological sex and appearance separate tabs. I could play a woman who appears to be a man at a shift click. I was under the impression this would cause issues code wise though, but if not and someone wants to do it I say hell yeah.

I've got to say it's looking good so far. After joining the round as a trainee Medical Officer Aisha (Shenaaigans Chief Medical Officer) showed my newbie the ropes, successfully utilising in character methods and in character lore knowledge allowing my character to not only learn the role in character but also allow me to learn some hints and tips out of character, improving the state of my medical roleplay and mechanical efficiency. Afterwards we hopped into DMs through discord and discussed lore in great detail. They went through human lore in depth and I have to say, I'm think I'm 100% behind the soon to be human reshuffle, reduced factions and mega corporations alongside so remove of inappropriate lore (Dominia, Eridani etc). We talked a lot about the future and travelling in the wake of the Corona virus outbreak and though your trip down Khwai in Botswana was cancelled (for obvious reasons) I'd highly recommend as I've been there myself and it was extremely nice. I think what you've done with your work life is brilliant and personally I'm taking on board the Five Bases of Influence (thanks again, Gareth Morgan's book "Images of Organisation" was amazing). Sorry for getting a bit creepy on the DMs, you were quite the word Smith and I must say I was quite smitten with you (in a friendly way ). All in all an absolute +1 from me!

Google already does this as do other companies, makes sense to have people visiting and living on the station. Plus game wise it's more interesting.

This thread got epic real fast. I'm aligned with wezzy in that getting a selection of clothes is better to ease in visuals. As the title says. Make maintenance all access but obviously make the maintenance doors that open into departments have that departments access. Much more fun RP to be had with this opening up for more gimmicks and general tunnel RP.

Ooohhh I see, you mean the quality. Well I mean I don't want us to pass up sprites because they're "too good" since we add lesser quality sprites anyway and no offense to Peg (he knows, it was one of his first tries) the great coat IS lower quality. Armory I think this fits your quality of sprites.
