  1. I thought it'd work more like how it works with cargo. Keep it sleek and simple. People more often than not charge for cargo stuff. Folks tend to not charge with the bar/kitchen because there's no set cost and the scanners are lame.
  2. Because this is a corporate dystopia? I mean this was a thing in the past IRL and ICly suits the theme of unethical mega-corporate dominated society imho.
  3. Happy anniversary sweetie, time for your throat singing lessons.
  4. As the title says. Make medical care cost money on station and give the main medical terminal a means to process payments like the cargo terminal. Add a list of treatments to the terminal, perhaps also adding "other" with a freeform price as well to catch any treatments not on the list. This would straight away give value to money in game as you'd utilise it to pay for your medical care. It fits a corporate dystopia setting since you're being made to pay for your accidents at work even in the line of duty (used to happen in the Victorian era, hell, you had to rent your own equipment to work from the company itself in those days, very ancap pilled) and opens the door for ghetto surgery to be used. The poor cargo tech can't afford surgery so he seeks out Olan, the greasy but kinda hot dreg engineering apprentice for some ghetto surgery. Med mains could help with a list of key procedures to be added to the terminal. Thoughts?
  5. Indy is a solid roleplayer so I've no doubt they'll do well with this character. One question, what do you mean by rooted in old earth literature?
  6. The reality is that deaf and mute people irl do mostly the same jobs as anyone else. Realism aside, the only issue with a mute character is that they can't talk over comms. They can still talk over PDA however so this is a moot point. Mechanically OOC, it's the same. We're typing out messages on the keyboard. ICly what's the difference between a radio request and a PDA request? A lot of these are non issues like a color blind chemist. They'd just label their stuff (like they're supposed to anyway). It would be nice to be abit more lenient for the sake of fun roleplay and character development towards disabilities. I imagine deaf characters would be contentious what with is relying so heavily on audio comms.
  7. For example: A sec officer has spotted me doing something I shouldn't. They look at me and question me. Suddenly my buddy comes over from their behind and attracts their attention. They look away. I creep off. The sec officer immediately turns back as they can see me either slinking off on their screen due to slow fade, or see that I've vanished thus begun creeping. Imo they should just not be able to see me at all if they look away. The same for combat. You've got to keep the enemy in your sights. If they get you all turned around and run away then kudos to them. Keep facing your opponent. Click until horizontal no longer applies, you have to keep your gaze on them.
  8. Won't that make it next to impossible to sneak away from someone if you've distracted them? If you don't creep they'll see you move away and if you do creep they'll see you vanish and immediately whip around. Imo if you want to chair RP with people don't turn away from them whilst having a conversation? It's actually a rude thing to do and you can't see them anymore so can't see what they're doing. That's why we don't turn away from people mid convo to dick around and why we crowd into a circle when talking, and not just spread ourselves out about a room, talking to the wall.
  9. It's all good my dude. We don't tend to go into great detail with the fictional religions of the settings in the same way we don't go into detail with the physics of say phoron. There's usually no real need and anything we come up with will be from the mind of a writer not a professor of theology/physics so it'll always be lack luster in its realism and complexity thus disappointing. If OOCly and ICly you want to explore the theology of an in game religion that's awesome and we'll be more than happy to talk it out with you. It's always good to see Priest RP in game.
  10. One thing I will say is don't fall into the trap of thinking of the Tribunal from the lense of a Christian. The Tribunal is close, close cousin of the Sk'akh faith which, though essentially monotheistic, borrows from ancestor worship.
  11. In brief, what would you do, change and create for these three things?
  12. I like it, could be a subsidiary inside one of the other megas. Could even tweak some food stuffs to their brand/add more stuff. Hell maybe the Dionae bites are from SuperBites.
  13. Would having pre-set team objectives be good? Maybe those pre-sets come with equipment? You could have the choice of choosing them or "custom" which is whatever special gimmick. Not sure how much work that'd be.
  14. I just join in gimmicks as best I can regardless of my character to keep the round going, is this wrong? I don't see why we can't just do that?
  15. I agree with carver. I do appreciate that we'd need to retool characters though. I've always wanted us to change medical into a more research like function and move away from 2020 medical roles. Maybe instead of Biologistics it could be called Medical Research or Experimental Medicine. Opens up the door for inclusions such as genetics and non-meme viral research etc later on.
  16. Yes, give us an example of what they do! We demand it!
  17. Ok sounds good, I like the dip into the macabre with the twilight phase and the swash buckling vibe from the terror phase. My questions are: - What job are you planning on having Shining do on the Aurora? - How did they end up in Biesel and on the Aurora? - What interactions have they had if any with the dionae community within Biesel?
  18. It's not a bug or an incomplete requirement. I think UMs basically saying it's kinda of illogical to be able to slip cuffs on big blade arms which break cuffs when activated. Apparently sec has huge cuffs that fit around humongous blades. Plus it's cheese to pin the thrashing blade armed monster to the ground and slip cuffs on them.
  19. For me, Trade Zone is just as problematic as that doesn't mean anything. Every state has trade zones. I prefer the federation simply because I'm used to it an all other variants don't tickle my pickle enough for the change. Plus, the Eridani Corporate Federation was a federation before the Jargon Federation which was originally called the Skrell Confederation. It's lore wise older, so I'd rather we didn't just change its name because of Jargon. It'd be like if we changed Sol into an Empire in a lore arc, then saying we need to change Dominia's name to the "Dominian Kingdom" because Sol is an Empire now.
  20. I think spears should be pretty weak. Imo of we want a more powerful spear variant then they should (as others have stated here) require additional components that some mook can't just cobble together in 10 seconds. Something like chain glaves and or ION Glaves which require more complicated components.
  21. My jaw aches because I've been trying to play a Japanese Flute, thank you for this PR.
  22. As long as it gets changed in an arc. ?
  23. I think that's the point. If the ling is going full arms out it's super hostile. Tripping it up and slipping on cuffs is a bit lame. UMs change implies that they'd "loose" their sword mutation if they get ko'ed. I think it's just to prevent cheese (pinning down the trashing, cleaver-armed mutant and slipping on cuffs).
  24. In the nicest possible way - is this a real app? Just want to know so I can decide whether to give you some constructive criticism or meme.
