Especially in the boxed enivornment that is BYOND I don't think this would be doable at this at this time. I mean you can aleady pin pictures to a billboard, why not add a billboard to the detectives office (sorry if there already is one)

I completely support this idea. If an IPC has been brought back from near destruction, and it was something of note, it should be on record.

For me it's situational. If I recognize the player, I'll judge them based upon what I've noticed. If I don't I'll read everything in the app.

I'll tell you this right now. Me and Lohikar played around with it for a couple hours yesterday, there's a few things I love, and a few things I hate about it. Love: I love the fact that it actually helps make everything overall more smooth and responsive. I love how it looks, makes Space Station 13 feel a little more... Dynamic. Hate: The delay between light updates, if we can hammer out and make it more fluid on updating light sources it would be perfect. Scheduler update is to die for doe. Witness a Bluespace cascade occur pretty smoothly (Minus the fact that it didn't destroy the station in it's supposed 5 minutes) I also witnessed several max bomb cap bombs go off and the server didn't even hiccup. Not to mention also a Supermatter blow up, with a minor server hiccup. All around the changes he's made would benefit the server.

An idea I had at one point was to setup a proper roleplay Stellaris Multiplayer group where we'd sit down one day a week and just go ham. Issue for me is time working and school is taxing as hell.

I've been observing rounds as of late, haven't interacted with you If yet, but hope to soon. Due to the amount of detail you've put into your application, as well as my observations while ghosting I'll support your app. Just don't be afraid to lock your personnel in science if one of your xenobiologists lets the slimes out. Cause as captain I won't hesitate to lock all the doors to science until it's handled.

Issue is, once a character starts powergaming it's no longer an IC issue, it becomes an OCC issue.

Can I interject with something I've noticed captains doing? Butting their heads in departmental situations. The captain should not be micromanaging any department as long as there's a head of that department. And if they have an issue with an order a head is giving one of their subordinates, please for the love of god do not voice your concern over the department comms. - Instead utilize the command channel to have a discussion, so as to not create confusion. When heads are dealing with a group of staff they want to ensure things stay level headed on comms, so as to not create a sense of a lack of leadership.

My issue is instead of punishing the players that were abusing it you outright removed it. IPCs should be a hard to get race, easy to lose. Now certain races it wouldn't make sense for them to mimic from a lore perspective why would an IPC want to be a Tajaran? I mean as an IPC their rights are nill, as a Tajaran they're literally one step ahead. Where as mimicking a human to unsuspecting people would put them a lot further ahead.

Honestly restricting it is fine in my eyes to a point. I personally wouldn't want to see a captain player come on as a chef and take charge during Delta moments because they know about it. In my eyes a captain should be allowed to play as not only captain, but also as a visitor, or any head role they're qualified for. If you as a captain wish to play as a chef do it on non company time. And from a pay perspective it would be a little weird seeing someone making bank as a captain to be a chef on Nanotrasen shift time.

See I've always had a character that undergoes a lot of aggression after cloning and was added on a DNC, occasionally someone will slip up and get to deal with me throwing shit at them. Another character I'm working on will get scanned, die and come back from a database scan, then proceed to thank the doctor for scanning him. Cloning for this character isn't traumatic, it's just a fresh start from exactly where he was when he was scanned. Going so far as to doing exactly what he did after getting scanned.

Oh, you can still permakill them, but there should be some method to restore constructs who escape from battle before they are destroyed. I don't think you can even heal them, now. Borg can be repaired, or even rebuilt. Denying that to constructs because 'you think they're overpowered anyway' is kinda biased. As it is, this idea requires you to have a soul stone AND a construct shell on hand to reconstitute a heavily damaged construct. These are, actually, in finite supply for cultists unless they sprung for the support construct model, which is useless in actual combat. And what if you decide that a juggernaut would be a more useful model for your single captured soul than a Wraith? There is no way to change it, now. Again, I reference borg, who have a built in mechanic to change modules. I fully agree with being able to repair a construct. Especially since people think it's powergaming if you smash open a wall to space during a hugely uneven fight.

Constructs can't even talk to cultists.
