  1. Really not much of an issue personally, it's something to bring up certainly but the end of result to this is relatively simple. Bygone is requested to provide further information. TT is requested to investigate the matter a bit more thoroughly. Declaring this resolved and will remain open for the next 24 hours.
  2. All three points are essentially this. Phoron are expensive and a sought out material that can be used in Science for the plethora of research applications present, medical for use of synthesizing medication, cargo for the acquisition of points and engineering in the form of their devices and the fact phoron is a central and vital thing in its gaseous form for the start up and stabilization of the Engine. And per the wiki and articles, it's already very easy to understand Nanotrasen has the largest monopoly of Phoron with it trying to creep it self to other deposits, with the most recent case with it expanding their ties with Elyra and limiting their export thus creating more demand of Phoron and hiking the prices. I already touched on this point but there are already plenty of research opportunities for this as its used for toxins research, it's also a vital component for RnD with a few items spawning from it that are based around Phoron. There's also other experiments which aren't entirely based on the mainstream scientific mechanics. Though I wouldn't be opposed to having more things added but I don't see any actual suggestions other than points that you'd like to be addressed.
  3. I advise you reply this at some point in the near future. Action may be taken without your response but we'd rather have it.
  4. My preferred stance regarding code blue would be that search warrants are allowed but to permit the Warden place warrants without the need to contact a member of command about it. Code red however I believe should allow no warrant arrests due to the nature of the emergency. Do note that unless I'm wrong here then I should be correct but it's perfectly fine for the HoS/Captain/Joint command/Acting Captain to say that even though it's code blue, they still want search warrants since say the emergency or threat is not related. I'll have a discussion with CCIA and perhaps we could add something to the Corp reg page.
  5. Pretty much how I see it. When you ahelp, it's generally assumed you presented all relevant information. There's a difference between saying its damaged to it being obliterated. But by saying that, it really wouldn't have hurt to had a quick look at T-Comms. No ones really at fault here but communication could've been smoother between both parties. I'm not going to give the 24 hour thing just yet to give more time for others but as it stands, I'm seeing as as a none issue.
  6. When I'm not even mentioned. Feels good.
  7. So my personal stance on antags are generally if a person is simply not attempting to drive the story simply being lack of care or attempts, they'd be spoken to and things would escalate accordingly. A person that just gets antagonist to do the same old thing which isn't fun for the crew since it's either bland or simply involves no one isn't really what we'd deem an antagonist that drives the story and are spoken to, at least by myself personally. Obviously, new players or first time antagonists get some leeway since they're learning, we all were at some point new after all. So in a sense we kind of already do this? I'll look over the thread again later on and see if I have anything else to add or clarify.
  8. Call me a devils advocate here but if you held no esteem for this application, why apply to begin with? There are other ways to indicate interest in this species.
  9. So, going to start by saying activity, your activity on the server is a bit lacking and I'm generally not fond of staff that pump out content without seeing how things are in the game where people use it. Second, while not a deal breaker, you don't have a Vaurca whitelist. Onto the application itself. For me, I find the best lore to me is written in a way which leaves the reader to be able to think of theories and process the lore, finding neat hidden stuff and assuming others. Based on your language in your post, you seem to want the readers to think in a certain ways, and I'm not very fond of this. An example. While this feels like one of the weakest examples, but from what I know the Lii'dra weren't there to just terrorize the Frontier, with Vaurca being pragmatic and practical with what they do. It's like you're trying to force people to think in a certain way of their actions. I'm also not entirely fond with this idea of a Warfleet either, or the concept of a "minor war". Going on the trope of conflict in everything is something I heavily feel would saturate the lore. While not everything has to be utopian, not everything have to be so grim and dystopian as well. A lot of this screams war, war and WAR.
  10. While I did give my support to your previous application, I think you'd benefit by heading to your previous application and pasting relevant pieces of information which you used to answer other people. So while I've worked with you a bit on an unofficial capacity, I can't help but point out that you've been quite inactive recently as a player and the same lore wise. Can we expect the same inactivity both server side and lore side? Currently this is my most major gripe which I'd like you to address.
  11. I've looked at your application and while it looks alright to me, there is one heavily crippling matter that needs to be addressed. Now, as you said, you're relatively new to this community, but at the same time you've got a lot of run ins with staff and are currently on very thin ice when it comes to administrative action, so what's to happen if you were hypothetically picked but then did something that broke this ice? It's not very sound investment in my opinion at this time but I'm interested to hear your thoughts.
  12. Locking and archiving per OP request.
  13. 24 hours have passed. Locking and archiving.
  14. I'm glad you posted something and I agree with most of it, it's just this part I'm going to contest a tad bit. The burning of a heretic ((Vampire)) was done once and it wasn't even planned by myself, sure I meme around and exaggerate about that one incident and it has thus become a staple people seem to have of Raymond from an OOC perspective regarding his take on religion but it's more that he has an open mind on things and doesn't believe everything at this day and age can be explained by the scientific means at hand, but what actually happened in this incident was that the Science department including the Director simply refused/didn't want to deal with the vampire in question so the task was ferried to the Chaplain, who believed he could do something about it. It was supposed to be an exorcism where they would be "cleansed" but I didn't think it would be literal cleansing by fire, which was without my need to command it, promptly stopped by security and where I put my foot down on the RD to take in this vampire and to see if it's possible to help it, what ever it was. As for killing the heretics, I don't really see when I've done this? Yes, I have at times possibly exaggerated the religious aspects of Raymond but those have long been reworked and replaced with an ideology as opposed to religion, one I won't really be sharing here but I guess I could if prompted. The only times when I've had to intercede and issue the "Weapons hot" command is in the event of a hostile and lethal attempted take over the station or simply when the HoS has been inadequate in their duties, which I've barely ever done.
  15. While Garn is primarily dealing with this complaint, I'll provide some of my own input on this. I feel you're justified to be annoyed over your recent interactions, while out of the three appeals/complaints two were at the very least partially in your favor, what happened did happen and had I been in your place, I'd have been bitter. We're by no means perfect people so mistakes do and will happen, but I like to think we strive to minimize it. I can't speak for the rest but I feel everyone else has the same way when it comes to conducting staff duties. I'm here to enable a game and a community that people can enjoy, I'm not here for some moral crusade or some community politics which place other communities. I've read your thread a few times and I hope through this experience we'll improve, and I'd like it if you could post any other points you have to bring. Community input, honesty and critique is something I've always encouraged and that if anyone has anything that they'd like to discuss, that I'd like them to bring it to me or any relevant staff member to the topic in question.
  16. Judge is under no obligation to give anyone an escape chance. He also did not just round start mass absorbing people, his action was deliberate and he presented the facade he was just a random crew member by going through his duties as normal. A wordless assassination is perfectly fine if it's just that, an assassination, with the purpose of accomplishing a goal and establishing a narrative. In my opinion, I feel the warning shouldn't have been applied. I'll discuss this with the moderator in question, so you should hear about this soon.
  17. Locking and archiving due to inactivity.
  18. Could've sworn I replied but it appears I didn't, so apology for that. So the ban reason was in my opinion just as he warned you for it previously. Self harm and suicide is generally a no no, so you should ahelp for permission in the future. Depending on your antagonist type or your involvement with antagonist actions, you may get the go ahead, but more often than not we permit it granted there's a good reason behind it. However, a clause in this ban is something I don't agree with. I don't believe you presented any form of attitude and were simply defending things your way, so the ban reason will be modified and have that point redacted. Once more, leaving this open for another 24 hours unless anything relevant is brought up.
  19. There's a red text that shows up if it's happening when selecting the role you wish to join as.
  20. Because Security enforces corporate regulation. Not the other departments.
  21. Antagonists generally play to win, which isn't a bad thing since they have objectives they want to accomplish. I'm not really partial to let go of my enjoyment but by saying this, I don't intend of depriving people of their enjoyment. Maybe I'll bow down or let things go by for the sake of the narrative, but there are limits to that. If a nuke team attacks the station and my security team is attacked without a word, I'll use every asset I need to contain the situation. They rush bomb security and are hunting them actively? I'll add crisis Borgs to the mix. Still can't contain them and more people are dying? Call ERT. Wizard with a peace gimmick but teleports to steal the spare? He's going to be arrested to make sure all contraband returns. He flees? Security will escalate accordingly. He uses lethal force to stop his arrest? Security will escalate accordingly. An important thing to keep in mind is that people have different perspectives of how the round goes. John Doe won't see the same things Jane Doe see, so it's expected they'll be acting differently. But with saying all that, if you do want to improve and deal with this issue, you're better off in my opinion to either contact said players and provide criticism while understanding how things are going from their perspective and/or you can report said players to those responsible of command whitelists.
  22. Honestly, all I'm seeing is that you get a kick out of rilling people up here based on your replies, which is supported by what I've seen. Let's touch in a few points. A) Hostile and abrasive to staff B) Improper usage of LOOC where staff intervention is required C) Inflation of charges, abuse of prisoners and going out of your way to employ excessive force while being aware of it to extents I'd say is beyond an IC issue. D) Usage of loyalty implants and generally a heavy hand at the slightest whiff of any antag beyond what is reasonable and actually permitted. E) You've been noted/warned/banned for negative things around 17 times over the course of a month. F) An a complaint discussing your demirits, are going out of your way to antagonize and insult people, whether directly or by implication. I'd like your thoughts on these points.
  23. Locking and archiving as this has been resolved with the ban being lifted.
  24. Note that this character doesn't currently meet the qualifications in place for the Chief Engineer role. Meaning you've either not read them or have missed it several times. Qualifications: At least 30 years of age, 10 years experience in engineering-related field, Doctorate of Engineering (or equivalent). https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Chief_Engineer
  25. I only really step in when there's a need. As an example, security that lacks an HoS only get my more hands on intervention when I've got departments screaming for help and security response is extremely delayed. Other than that, I generally prefer a hands off thing but only giving a task and letting said departments deal with it on their own accord.
