AmoryBlaine Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 What the title says. We don't even need to get rid of the bar- there's room on the surface- where it ought to be, for visitors.
Kintsugi Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 I like the concept of the bar being converted into a cafeteria. Seems to make more sense - it, currently, is huge for what it is, and a corporate cafeteria would be a better use of that space. A smaller bar for visitors would be thematically more appropriate.
Wildkins Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 CMV: bar and kitchen should serve the same large area rather than the bar being gigantic and the kitchen getting one L-shaped table and a single booth
AmoryBlaine Posted November 25, 2019 Author Posted November 25, 2019 I mean in my mind any place that's on the main deck should be serving working employees- so, a cafeteria or small bistro would be good. The surface is where the merchant is, the dorms, the pool, ect-- perfect for a bar. Keeps things purposefully spread out.
Wildkins Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 honestly i'm not a fan of splitting up the bar and kitchen, if anything they should be closer together not split apart across decks

I'd just much prefer they be placed in areas that suit them better, even if it costs both a bit of crossover traffic.
Zundy Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 Yeah just make it a canteen where we can get food and also drinks. Just merge them together pretty much imo.
Nantei Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 Isn't it arguably already like this? You can serve food in the bar. That's why there's a counter connecting the two. The bar is a dining area, people just often eat at the stools instead.
Butterrobber202 Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 I’d like it if we took Bay12's approach, where both bar and kitchen have a table that is in the dining area,

wowzewow Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 Bay12's approach is pretty good if you think about it, since all we need to do is move the bar to where the (unused) theater is, and just tweak the kitchen a little.
