[RESOLVED] Complaint against HunterRS

Recommended Posts

BYOND Key: ClearThoughts

Game ID: bY4n1f

Player Byond Key: HunterRS

Staff involved: Made no ahelp. Didn't garner one.

Reason for complaint: Bad player attitude

Did you attempt to adminhelp the issue at the time? If so, what was the known action taken by administration/moderation? It was all really OoC stuff so I'm making a player complaint rather than an adminhelp. Seems more appropriate.

Approximate Date/Time: 4:32pm 12DEC2016 (GMT-06:00)

What happened?

Well, Hunter piped up at some point because Mybadman posted his app, advertising it (Only once, just as rules applied), Hunter saying "Oh well I'll post mine" Which was fine, nobody really made a scene about it, except Pkisbest meme'd at him. . Well, this nonsense:

I'm sorry about the shit ton of gyazos. Only way to cap it without me going through and combing the OOC logs but I prefer to just have it in Gyazo format. Anyway, my thoughts on the matter are that Hunter gets SUPER defensive about ANYTHINg directed towards him, meme or not, and as a result he just. . I don't think he's mature enough to handle Aurora. I'm not asking for a ban towards him or anything, I just don't think he's mature. That's my two cents.

CT, out.

Okay 1. I have called Crew Transfer about 90% of the time, a lot of people don't like it, but it's just what I do, I have reasons behind it.

Also 2. Half of those pictures really show no evidence of me having a bad attitude, I was defending myself from you guys saying I am no fun.

3. Vera spoke up when we started talking about to other things, at that I ahelepd telling staff to quiet it down.

4. When you guys first started harassing me about how I call CT and that I ruin RP, I don't know exactly what rp is going on everyone, I'm not an IRL AI.

5. I was in no way intending to start any conversation, when he said the no hunter, not for you, I responded jokingly about it, never intended to start an argument.

Otherwise, I don't see a real complete reason for this complaint, other then calling me out for a stupid thing that was started by other people. Please explain.

I also frequently call a vote close to 2:00. I feel that 2 hours is a good, fair amount of time for people to have a couple of RP sessions, do some SS13 worker activities, and set into motion any antag actions they want to try out.

The vote allows people to chime in if they would like to reset the station, try a different role, or have been eliminated and would like to start over. If they don't want it, they can vote continue the round, it takes no time.

I honestly think the CT vote should be available starting at 90 minutes. If more than half of people are done with the round, why not start a new one in 10-15 minutes? It's just courtesy at that point, in my mind.

I want to call attention to Hunter's behavior, not just the OP's or anyone else included in the screenshot, once again.

I have no problem in certain situations where people want to call for a transfer at the 2 hr mark, such as the round being too boring and nothing is really interesting and everyone wants to start anew with new antagonists, or when the entire round has gone to unequivocal crap without code red or even code blue. In which, I could say, situationally, those are justified. Such rounds happen and I've no problem with it in those cases because it's a legitimate reason to want to transfer.

But I'm not backing this complaint because the offender does this on a case-by-case basis. One would be mistaken to have that impression.

HunterRS has presented forth his own personal habit in which he'll indiscriminately call for transfer at the 2 hr mark no matter the context of what is going on in the round. Regardless of taking in the consideration present round conditions, you can be certain that Hunter will call for transfer as soon as humanly possible. That being at the 2 hr mark.

HunterRS has also seen it fit (in a recent vampire round that ended approx 8:27PM today) to mock the OP in OOC and name dropped ClearThoughts for "not being on the server" (which is untrue as I saw them online yesterday and played a round with them) and complaining about Hunter's rather annoying habit at having the vote function keyed up whenever possible. Ignoring the amount of dishonesty and outright being unable to be the bigger man and simply not trash-talk someone when they aren't around, this clearly presents an issue where Hunter is obviously only on the server to call for transfer and act like a brat in OOC.

I understand the feeling of utter annoyance people might have with brattery and they might respond to it rather un-adult-like themselves, but does the initial fault not lie with the provoking party?

Hunter's proven very capable at being good enough to provoke other people. It's within my personal opinion that such a kind of attitude doesn't belong on the server to play with the rest of us turbonerds that just want to enjoy a video game together. It's not very pro-fun to be the guy to want to restart the game at the earliest opportunity.

I do this myself. I call votes the moment they can be called. I've even been known to call a vote the moment I connect to the server without if it's available to do so. There's many people on the server who do this. Why have I not seen anyone complaining about me or anyone else doing this?

HOKAY.

I think theres a pretty simple solution to this. If its his attitude towards the vote calls you folks seem to take issue with, can Hunter here agree to toning down said attitude?

If so, problem solved. There's nothing wrong with calling the vote at 2hrs.

But if you read the pictures Hunter was targetted as part of a trolling attempt where Hunter really didn't re-engage with similar action.

This whole thread is literally them complaining about him calling for Crew Transfers, then Hunter being attacked by another member of our community.

Calling a vote at the 2:00 hours mark is completely fine, it's how the system works. Hunter can call the vote when he wants to, and so can the rest of the players. The only issue I can see with Hunter here is that he gets defensive very quickly, but this doesn't seem like a reason to report a player. The attitude of the rest of the involved players seem very aggressive towards Hunter, however, and this is something that is not really allowed on the server. These kind of attitudes should be ahelped.

It is a vote. If the vote passes, that means that at least two thirds of the players agree on restarting the round; it's a majority. All players have the right to vote and express their opinion during the vote. The fact that a vote is called by Hunter will probably not change the result of said vote. If it cuts your RP, it's because the majority wanted to transfer.

If Hunter's attitude when calling a crew transfer is annoying to you, personally, that's not something we can act on. Hunter, from what I've seen, both personally and from the screenshots, did not show any kind of annoying attitude when calling the vote. If it annoys you, you can toggle your OOC chat; if his attitude is not appropriate, you should aHelp.

Based on this, I'll be closing and archiving this complaint with no actions taken. The creator of the thread can contact me via PMs, given justified reasons, to re-open the complaint.

Thank your for your input.
