Make it so you can buy the nuke codes for like 40 TC's or something. And mercs don't start with the code anymore. Why? less nuke ending rounds, and now anyone can get the nuke codes (Note that traitors would have to team up and spend all but 5 TC's if working in a team of two to get the nuke code so its going to be a rare ordeal)

Not a good idea. All ops only get 25 TC. That's two people without any TC at all.

Mercenary is about being a mercenary, not a nuke op.

isn't that what this suggestion would do? Make it less about being a nuke op by making it harder to get? lol

Anyways, I'm okay with mercs still having the code, It's mostly about the code being buy-able

I like this idea, if the mercenaries were to get the Nuclear Code, they have to be willingly to sacrifice almost the majority of their telecrystals because nuking the station is pretty much a big deal.

You could also have this flag up the attention, possibly allowing them to stop it, of the admins. Then, if Robust McGee gets the nuke code by stealing other tators points, the staff can keep an eye easily so we dont end up an iradiated husk.

I am thinking this would make it better during traitor rounds, if multiple people gang together and nuke the station at the end. It is basically impossible to get the nuke codes ICly.

Because the nuke is a round-ender, I'd prefer it be left up to the admins whether they want to supply the code. Mercs rarely use the nuke now anyways, at least in my experience.

i like this suggestion, stops mercs from going plan b and threatening to nuke the station if something they don't like happens.

As purchasing a nuke code sounds to be something that would be heavily vetted by admins, I see no reason why we should include it in the uplink. As Skull has mentioned if traitors want to buy a nuke code, they can simply ahelp and the admins will set a deal up with them. I don't really think "streamlining" this interaction by adding it to the uplink adds anything meaningful. On that grounds, voting for dismissal, unless the admins would like to disagree with my assessment?
