There is a Secret Society, a illusive Conspiracy which is made to achieve their dark shadowy goals. Up to 5-10 Player's can be apart of it every round. They're meant to be more of a Side Antagonist, they are there to spice things up and accomplish whatever goal they all decide upon, They'll be similar to a Revolution since they can get other's to join them. This was done so we don't have to twiddle our thumbs while we wait for an antagonist to do something, If they do anything. This'll also give Non-Security roles a slice of the action, as they can interact with the Secret Society as well.

Doesn't this kind of defeat the point of tators? If everyone can self-antag by joining the mafia, why even have traitors in the game?


Why would NT hire people who constantly protest and disrupt the station? It's not like they're short on workers, they could replace people easily.


The suggestion has a lot of issues (self-antagging, against NT interests, etc.) that would need to be fleshed out before it's even considered.

the whole point of me suggesting this was to get rid of our dependency on antagonists to do anything. I'm not suggesting that we have assistant's attack people randomly in the streets, what I'm suggesting is to add meaningful conflict to our server, I hope that it would be possible to run a round without antagonist's and still have conflict instead of chair rp

Granted but even still, taking this to it’s most basic level, even protesting wouldn’t really make sense for the average crew member to do. They have been employed by NT and know full well that they are not special. If they fuck up or become more of an obstacle then a benefit then they will be fired. NT isn’t hurting for employees to the point where they will tolerate things like this. Taking it to it’s most extreme, being in the mafia AND holding down a day job at NT is a conflict of interest if nothing else. Sorry but I just don’t find this to be logical lore-wise.

We have factions currently and quite a few characters are part of them. Are you looking to have a forum set up for each one so players can arrange persistent RP across rounds? For example ATLAS characters having a common goal? If so I could get behind this.

It seems that you want to add a group of people, that have some kind of goal in mind that is meant to provide "action" to the station.

In addition they can recruit others to join them.


Well, that really sounds like revolution or traitor.


Traitors can already communicate with each other and decide to work together icly via the codewords and oocly via aooc.

They can also try to recruit people, by either forcing them to assist them, threatening them (almost noone is using exploitable information) or possibly even bribing them.


Where is the difference to rev / traitor ?

This is an HRP server, maybe you should go interact with other characters rather than wait for antags to start causing issues.

This is interesting however there is no difference to Revolution. If this does ever become implemented, I'm going to make our organization Spectre or Hydra.
