If you have Android and like post apocalypse and roguelikes, Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead has a supurb port. The windows version will also be baller as fuck though. For more information: when I say 'apocalypse roguelike' I don't mean you'll only be fighting zombies in a large, procedurally generated world with multiple towns and buildings, NPCs you can recruit, cars you can drive, etc etc etc. I mean that stuff is there, but the apocalypse is fairly configurable a generation. Trifids? Yes. Fast zombies? Yes. Slow zombies? Yes. Mutants? Yes. Robots? Yes. All at once? If you fucking want it kiddo, you can be a meth addicted mutant cyborg attempting to escape from a hidden lab or a soldier trying to save a town from the undead. It's fan-fucking-tastic and even has several tilesets if you're into that. Another decent port is Dungeon Crawl: Stone Soup, but you will need a different keyboad like Hacker's Keyboard for it to work and is definitely better on a tablet. This one is a more traditional roguelike; you choose from a huge list of races and classes, then run around in a massive, sprawling dungeon and get eaten by grues. A little mor straight laced than Cataclysm, but you can still get mauled by bats and shit so that's neato. also both of these are free Links:

I think they take issue with the following potential scenario: Urist McOfficer barks, "Oi, Urist McTraitor, where's your hallpass?" Urist McTraitor says, "Uh... Don't have one?" Urist McOfficer has struck Urist McTraitor in the chest with the harmbaton! Obviously this is an exaggeration, but I think this might be what [mention]Resilynn[/mention] sorta was talking about.

[1 dismissal]Add job positions for the Odin's starting area.

Which then creates the issue of if no one is playing the role, how do people get their IDs and stuff? -

[Accepted] GreenLightbulb's IPC App
GreenLightbulb posted a topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
BYOND Key: GreenLightbulb Character Names: I entirely play CRASA[Android/occasional AI], but I've played Casper Jakes, Paul Fauteux, and Abraham Nicholas long in the past as well as a handful of throwaway characters. Species you are applying to play: IPC. What color do you plan on making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt): Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yep. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: I've been playing as CRASA for about three years now, if memory serves correctly. In that time, I've been slowly building it up to the quirky, helpful android it is today. I'd like to keep moving forward with its character and personality development, and I think that placing it into an IPC chassis would provide it new, interesting opportunities to explore. IPCs are also my favourite species in the game and I'd love to give one a whirl. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: An IPC's actions are governed more by fact and logic than emotion; their responses to situations are based on evaluation of information presented as opposed to gut reaction. Aside from that, their personalities vary much more wildly between each individual compared with other species, ranging from cold and calculating to happy-go-lucky and everything in between. Some other stuff like not feeling pain, not needing to eat or sleep but rather recharge, requiring repairs, covers some of the mechanical aspects. Character Name: CRASA. Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs Access stored memories. What do you like about this character? Honestly, I find it hard to quantify exactly what one thing about CRASA I like. From superficial stuff like its vocal quirks, to the just general helpful and efficient nature of it, to the other eccentricities like using a cyborg action figure to try and improve morale. That said, I think my favourite thing about CRASA is the odd sense of humour it has. Holy crap that felt narcissistic. How would you rate your role-playing ability? Maybe... High six to mid seven? Notes: This was a long time coming. -
This seems suspicious.

Hopping on the feedback bandwagon. Do people actually like CRASA? Also looking for ways to improve.

[Accepted]Vrow - Skrell Application.
GreenLightbulb replied to VisVirific's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Vrow is excellent in every way my limited imagination can imagine. The only reason why I wouldn't want this app to be accepted is because I would potentially see less of Friend Powers, which makes CRASA sad. +1 -
I never got a chance to play a meme round, but basically the antag was a incorporial being which IIRC spawned inside another crew member. The meme player could control the host through similar methods as the borers, making them feel pain or pleasure, talking to them in their head, and a few other things I can't remember now. The meme player could also jump to another host by making the host shout out a phrase or word and if someone heard it, they could get infected. As far as I know it was bugged to shit so it never was a round type by the time I started playing SS13. Everything I just said is based on what I remember from an old Baystation wiki article about them.

To me, this just sounds like bored banter. Hell, it even sounds similar to conversations I've while working as an electrician. When you're bored, you talk about dumb shit. Cars, guns, girls, movies, politics, music, parties, fucking zombie apocalypse survival scenarioes and plans, whatever comes to mind. It's just a way to pass the time. Taking into account the fact that the average player won't bring up pop culture references from the time period (ie movies their character watched recently or music they like) because they don't know what's good with that, you remove a lot of idle bullshitting topics. All they have is guns. It's all they know for certain. Or maybe I'm just a nutcase who doesn't know what he's talking about. I probably am; I main 'borg.

not calling algeria by their proper name 0/10

Engravings... Offer no tactical advantage whatsoever. That said, I do like the idea of more ways dedicated to dealing with filthy synths and I find the descriptions of the melee-based weapons interesting to my brain box.
-
Easily one of CRASA's favourite humans. That is all.
-
So, do you mean like maybe perhaps a similar thing to Cyberpunk 2020's Trauma Team ?
-
CRASA (Crisis Android): I mean, I think, anyways.

[Accepted] Nanako's Head of Staff application
GreenLightbulb replied to Nanako's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
In the past, I have seen Nanako do various questionable power-gamey things, mostly with the whole knowing-multiple-jobs thing. That is, however, in the past, at least from what I've seen. Nanako Magojiro has become one of those names on the manifest that make me happy when I see them. I know they know their stuff, and I enjoy working alongside them. Solid plus Juan from me. -
No Man's Sky has Stolen our IPCS!

Boy, have I got some bad news for you. -
May 2nd, 2458: Mouse carcass in maintenance this morning, toolbox wound on burst stomach. This station is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The hallways are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their ERP and murder will foam up about their waists and all the traitors and assistants will look up and shout "Save us!"... and I'll whisper "woe."

Hey, friends. I was wondering if someone could clear up how station-bound synthetics typically become unbound IPCs. I'm considering creating an IPC and I was hoping CRASA could be used as a personality base. Who typically allows station-bound synthetics and why? Is it a 'reward' or an experiment or something else? Just looking for a generic example/policy so I can base a backstory off of it.

Paramedics get a full toolkit. Surely they can find something in there to smash open the fire-axe case?

I hate to be a bother and all, but you really should follow the unban format thingy found here http://forums.aurorastation.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=15 or else the staff will prolly tell you to take off.
