  1. They're large and as powerful as any firearm when used right, for that alone I don't think they should be easy to store.
  2. I'd prefer to keep the crafting menus separate, the other issue being that most of these items used for such a repair are instant-use. You place rods, then a floor tile, then more rods if you wish to reinforce said floor tile. I'd be very upset if I accidentally clicked on my rods in-hand and it reinforced the ceiling, to which I now can't get them back.
  3. Reworking their use in construction sure, remove no. Despite their odd behaviour it's somewhat useful for them being able to stack, and they hold a fair value to cargo as a commodity. It would also make sense if they were usable in the construction of makeshift armour in a heat-resistant (but not bullet-resistant) fashion.
  4. Agreed with the above two. I would potentially understand a pre-built sauna if we worked at the Odin, but an excessive amount of recreational activities available from a baseline will eventually make the station feel more like a resort than a research and mining station. It's a cool idea for an engineer to build in his free time but I wouldn't like to see it become a standardized thing.
  5. I support this, but I'd also accept a compromise of letting it fit on the waist slot or the suit storage slot of department-appropriate overwear.
  6. I don't agree with removing something so recently added, particularly in regard to how little it will affect an individual on the average round. If we were focused on hygiene and realism we would be banning Tajara from working in Medical and the Kitchen, and enforcing stricter uniform regulations on everyone in regards to minimizing unnecessary fibers in the closed air atmospherics. Let the people have their variety, and fuck off with this '4 da keedz' argument that poisons a great deal of debates these days. If someone's old enough to be playing a murder simulating spess game filled to the brim with ERPers and furries they can handle knowing that cigarettes and snus exist.
  7. Pressing Z for most people will just type the letter Z into the command bar. A verb in the object menu/right-click menu is better for this.
  8. Glad to see brainmed returned us to the dark age of random events. +1
  9. Something something I'd say just whitelist them but whitelists don't actually work at all. Doesn't hurt to remove them (and I won't exactly miss them), but a lot of the arguments presented are somewhat flawed. 1) This isn't exclusive to Vox, and permeates multiple whitelisted species in a manner that has never really been spoken of due to fetishistic bias towards them and unreasonably lax policies from maintainers. 2) Per above, this isn't exclusive to Vox either. Though I can say to an extent that efforts have seemingly been made to cut down on terrible behaviours from whitelisted xenos (taj, unathi and especially IPCs), a lot of fairly unacceptable and memey behaviour is often overlooked as 'just joking around'. To which a joke ceases to be funny after it's repeated ad nauseam. Taping over a single hole will not fix the inherent problem that caused said hole (the players).
  10. Ambivalent on this. The mode wasn't very awful on Exodus/Boxstation as the map and older mechanics really prevented any one side from dominating (AI core was defensible, yet not impossible. AI could easily fuck off somewhere anyways with help of an Engineering unit), but the current map layout in combination with z-level mechanics (Falling through holes in the floor and being unable to walk on walls with magboots as you previously could being the worst addition I've ever seen) and uninteractive gameplay (APC gibbing means 1-2 guaranteed kills on anyone trying to breach the core unless they meme on the AI with a bomb above it) has rendered it a somewhat predictably shitty experience. As it were, I'd be interested in seeing a return to this mode if/when we get a new map that isn't so poorly designed/poorly balanced as the current one. Besides APC-bombs and Malf's effective riot prevention capabilities being neutered by the removal of Security Stationbounds (most medborgs don't bother to make knockout smoke mixes for some reason), it's not in a very different mechanical spot than it was years ago when the mode had fairly minimal complaints from both antag and crew players. This mantra has meant absolutely nothing since the removal of Security Stationbounds.
  11. Any ladder that doesn't require maintenance access is a good ladder in my book.
  12. Restricting access is a fine idea. If a roboticist really wants to use the thing they can ask the HoP for increased access like every other role instead of just breaking in like a common antag.
  13. Exaggerated collars that give me vibes of a hoodie that's down, at least from the frontal view. Notably for the lack of an outline pixel at the very top of said collars. It might actually look quite interesting if you attempted to transition it into something like pic-related:
  14. Changeling has been one of the most consistently God-awful game modes in the history of HRP servers in SS13. I've seen reworks year after year, and not a single one had made it anything but an absolute chore to deal with as a mode. If Security Cyborgs had to go for being terrible and uninteractive, then so does Changeling, and Ling's had this coming for a long time. +1
  15. I mostly bring it up as reinforced flooring would be a mapping-related band-aid fix, and this is the most appropriate thread to suggest it.
  16. You shouldn't feel like an asshole, it's the equivalent of having some Medical Resident do the job of the Surgeon. It's also worthy of writing up an IR, which is a fun way to discourage it.
  17. It's more that the gameplay of 'fall through hole, drift in cooling z-level until you inevitably hit the pipes and break back in' is one of the worst things to consistently deal with on Malf rounds (or any round where bombs are excessively used). As it were, explosions without the cancer-holes would still cut the power.

    AI/Malf Refactor

+1 for this alone, didn't even need to read the rest of it.
  19. This is something that you can have them demoted for, and have Security called on them. An access change would solve this I suppose but it's simply easier to make the directives against it stricter.
  20. Mutiny, whilst the first to introduce multi-faction 'rev' gameplay, didn't work on the basis of the objectives being either something no one cares about (all of x species get demoted), or something that immediately causes mass lynchings of Command (gas these 12 specific people for having a non-existent virus/demote all personnel of the opposite sex of the Captain).
  21. Those look more like hoodies, I'd say just add them as hoodies and retain the already excellent resprites of Mil. Jackets we got quite recently.
  22. I will never agree with this suggestion if it leads to ballistics being reduced or removed. On the basis of retaining ballistics and everything good they bring, -1.
  23. Agent IDs don't need buffs. If it shows up wrong, then that's a mistake on the user who set the ID.
  24. An image of the Unathi digestive organ sounds good. Please avoid anything fetishistic like mentioned above, though.
  25. How about reinforced flooring? Removes the 'APC/machine blows up and there's an impassable hole to the bottom-most z-level' memes.
