  1. Unique, and generally more professional than the old one. I like it, still would like the red suit to remain in a locker as an alternative perhaps (though I suppose it will survive through the loadout anyways).
  2. Red to match the old suit, and have the sweater instead be an alternate option rather than the default for librarians who wish to look more formal.
  3. Anyone who dies fast with the equipment available to that antag type is terrible, especially seeing as traitors operate solo with less equipment and generally worse options. I'm not for or against this, but I'm interested in seeing how the discussion goes.
  4. My point remains. Let it be hackable with semi-common tools for those who seek illicit access.
  5. The librarian matches the gardeners. Not sure that's a good thing.
  6. I quite like this counter-suggestion. Exceptions can be interesting if done well, better not to rule them out entirely so much as keep it from being a common occurrence.
  7. +1. I remember I used to do this 6 years ago when I was a far less experienced writer, and I don't look back on those memories without cringing a slight. Though it did once allow for an interesting set-up of pretending to be kidnapped, it's rare to see anyone utilize it creatively like that. If it's abused, then it's time for it to go.
  8. In a strange way, this makes me want more jewelry. Can I make a crown of gold and set one of these stones into it? Will they have a function beyond selling, and hopefully a function that doesn't involve research (since mining and research are already too closely tied imo)?
  9. I'd say the lore's fine, divisiveness makes for an excellent starter to any sort of antagonistic story, people just need to instead learn how to be a bit more self-serving in a clever way. Betraying the other side constantly in deals is, amusingly, not this, seeing as it often just results in more damages/deaths on your own side. Encourage people instead to cut more deals with antags, to accept bribes and be overall more corrupt and personally antagonistic. Then perhaps we might see more co-ordination between crew and antagonists, as well as less binary 'my side v. your side' forms of betrayal.
  10. In regard to Christian relics/items, I'd say they can have multiple options depending on their denomination/sect. There's no reason to only give them a singular choice in that regard. Snake's suggestion was neat enough that I'd see it fitting even as just one of said options.

And I complained when the Captain got a fucking fox of all things too, as it's not thematic and just seemed downright inappropriate and nonsensical. 'Cute' is not an excuse for adding a departmental pet, I.M.O. As I said earlier, if the RD should get anything, let it be a lab rat.
  12. From what I recall, you have 5 per cultist at the most (this was far less when converts didn't get a free paper). Unlimited only if an artificer is produced. The main purpose, is presenting a way for the sacrifice rune to not entirely take someone out of the round, as regardless of whether this suggestion goes through it will likely continue to see use by people (despite merely being a vestigial mechanic of Cult having objectives to sacrifice specific crew). This suggestion is predominantly for the scenario of if it's not removed, giving it a genuine value beyond permanently killing someone for no particular benefit.
  13. As per the title: An idle thought and band-aid solution, but I couldn't think of anything else to give said rune actual purpose beyond permanently killing people (that isn't already covered by other, existing runes).
  14. Because remove label didn't exist when it was removed, and not for quite some time after it was removed.
  15. The same 'you' that you used, a generalized 'person in said situation'.
  16. Amusingly, you do the thing said antags complain the most about. Call ERT on their Judge Dredd-looking ass.
  17. Labeling mobs with a hand labeler did exist, but was removed for hopefully understandable reasons involving assistants/clowns labeling people and the general inability to remove a label from someone easily.
  18. Agree with above, Xenobiology came to mind when I saw the amount of descriptors. On a productive day one will breed more slimes than descriptors exist. Spiders may also raise similar concerns but less about keeping track, more about how fast spiders can breed in unlucky circumstances.
  19. Going to post more responses when I have time to read through it all, but two things: Herein lays the issue with this line of thought, is that canonically the station has been raided and set on fire by pirates in events that have happened this very year. I agree the 'baton rush' is often not an ideal reaction (if somewhat harmless these days), the ideal reaction is alerting the department (and hopefully Command, if an HoS isn't on the station) and immediately rushing to the armoury as armed intruders are a very serious affair. -- Overall where I most agree, and this perhaps isn't what you intended to highlight, is that there's too much fucking betrayal between each side. Neither trusts the other in a deal OOCly because, historically, it's extremely rare anyone holds up their end of the bargain. You often have to build an OOC reputation for being reliable otherwise people will just 'plan to betray the other before they're betrayed first', due to an utter lack of trust. Therein lays my method of thinking for the game: "Don't expect to win, but play to make it out alive and safe.", to which betrayal does not typically contribute positively to this goal as it needlessly increases risk of violence/bloodshed/death, which ideally both sides are trying to avoid. Security is a form of asset loss prevention, and they should be acting as such by minimizing damage or loss of assets efficiently, rather than trying to 'catch the bads'. I would equally hope that antagonists would value their lives, for the most part, though I understand a mild exception in more suicidal terrorist-esque gimmicks (though I'd hope said gimmicks are uncommon). Just because you can betray someone, doesn't mean you should (for this alone, I never trust other solo antags as an antag).
  20. On that note, it would make more sense to see this replace a scientist slot and act under the RD than replace an Engineer slot and act under the CE. The CE isn't actually capable of producing the components required for machine upgrades, and giving that sort of buff upfront to Engineering takes a fair bit away from a neglected part of Research's identity.
  21. I'd simply remove slowdown, increase slip chance on wet floors. You ever try running on wet tile barefoot? Let alone even just walking on it.

It's not particularly thematic, even if rabbits are test animals (to which one can argue so are dogs, and chimps), a huge white lab rat would be more iconic.
  23. Ask Jackboot who liked every single one of his posts years ago when the forum added a like count and you'll understand why numbers on the forum are meaningless.
  24. Something something people using local say quotes over radio/announcement quotes something something.
