  1. The one on the right looks cool. So the one without the top handle. Really think that should be the sprite used tbqh.
  2. All of these have been recently fixed and merged. Is it still a problem?
  3. Skrell will get the following abilities: - Mind Assay, it'll tell them about the psionic grade and psionic skills of another human. - Read Mind, it'll give the person they use it on a textbox with a question that the user asks. The user will then receive the inputted response. - Current skrell abilities.
  4. https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/7717 Why? To rewrite skrell abilities into a better system and give better integration and more possibilities with psionics. To make new psionic-based antags and psionic antag tools.
  5. My main worry is the dilution of round types, really. Even one gamemode getting removed has pretty big impacts on repetetition. I'm probably leaning to no on the removal because of that, but I also definitely hate most malf rounds. I would switch to yes once the gamemode PR is merged however.
  6. @ReadThisNamePlz and I will look into this complaint.
  7. Epic.
  8. Voting for dismissal. Extended being in secret is necessary because of metagaming.
  9. Ideally you want the two kinds of weapons to be somewhat different and not carbon copies. Lasers excel at things that ballistics don't excel at, and I think that's the best way to keep it. We don't want the two to be too similiar because of that.
  10. https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/7669
  11. The main issue is them existing at all. As I said, the effort needs to go towards something new to take their space, not trying to refine the same pile of shit into a smoother pile of shit. We should have our own unique species, not ones from Bay.
  12. Looks good to me. I don't see any reason to prolong this. Trial started on 13DEC2019 and will end on 20DEC2019.
  13. Looks okay to me, personally. I was willing to give the old side effects a try but I don't really like them as is. Too excessive.
  14. Okay. Let's go over why I support this. 1. Vox, as said, have a horrible heritage and a pretty shit culture around them. I absolutely doubt them being able to be anything else, because this exact thing has been tried and tried on other servers. It doesn't work. 2. They're a bay species. We should get rid of it now that we have the chance to. We can add our own antag species in their place. That's where the effort should go towards.
  15. Wouldn't it still mean that they'd have space tiles under them anyways? Which would have the same effect. Only way I can think of is making tiles harder to blow up.
  16. 1. It's not an oversight. It's intended behaviour. 2. All tiles must have either a space turf or an asteroid turf under them. 3. When you say things like 'but as with many things on this server at the time and apparently still now, they deemed quickly finished halfway measures sufficient', despite being unaware of the continued effort it took to find the cause and a fix for space wind (a year and more, in fact), while also putting in question the decision of several developers that are far more experienced in DM than you are, it makes for a weak argument. 4. The fix is complete. The fix works. What about it is halfway done? You don't like the effect. It does not mean you get to call it "incomplete" and say baseless claims about developers in the same sentence. I would not be opposed to the unsimulated turf/simulated turf interaction getting looked at, though it'd take some time to figure out how.
  17. Moving to completed projects. All bugs to github please.
  18. It isn't though. CPR is very reliable with 2 or more people. Still viable with 1, but a bit less likely to work.
  19. The PR very clearly states what it does. No.
  20. Norepinephrine, the starting chemical in medical, does not restart hearts. Five units of adrenaline, a chem that needs to be made by a chemist, does.
  21. The latter is literally already a thing, adrenaline
  22. https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/7653 --- - What about lore? For all I care, cloning can stay in lore. What happens to it in lore is up to the lore writers. This thread is strictly about gameplay. - Why are we removing it? Cloning was born out of a mechanical need, because deaths in oldmed had the ability to be pretty cheesy. Since humans are tanky in brainmed, we don't actually need this anymore. It's harder to die and we gain more from removing it than keeping it in. Death is more meaningful in round, we don't have to deal with cloning traumas, and more. - How do I get back into the round then? You don't. Respawn as another character or move on. It's really, really hard to die if you're not directly involved in engagements.
  23. We did it boys, oldmed is no more.
  24. Cloning will be addressed in a separate thread. This is not the thread for it.
  25. Okay, I was perhaps a bit too short in how I stated something so sudden. I apologize. Let me reiterate: 1- Cloning was necessary in oldmed because of cheese instant kills and how easy it was to die. These concerns are basically nullified by brainmed. Cloning was born out of a MECHANICAL need. 2- Brainmed as it is removes the need for cloning. It is far harder to die unless you're fighting beyond what is reasonable for your body. As such, an IN-ROUND SOLUTION to death is NOT NECESSARY and detrimental to gameplay and the meaning of death. 3- I do not make the decision to remove cloning from the lore. For all I care, it can stay, but it has to go from the station. How lore handles that is not my business or my problem nor my prerogative. 4- There is probably a grand total of 2 people who appreciate brain trauma RP, because it's not fun. Most medical players will agree that it's just a pain in the ass.
