I'm personally against that type of thing. In this type of community that tends to create an air of elitism.

The way Patreon runs typically would imply some form of donation tiers, usually with some kind of benefit as incentive for the higher tiers; How exactly would that be set up?

As per regulation, solitary confinement should only ever used in one of these three scenarios: 1.) The prisoner has attempted or succeeded in escaping from the communal brig/his cell 2.) The prisoner has attempted suicide (They also need to be monitored closely in this situation) 3.) The prisoner is a threat to any other prisoners in the communal brig The head of security taking prior occurrences into account is a grey area and I'd say it depends on /how/ he takes them into account. As per the regulation, repeated cases of vandlism should result in a demotion, not in solitary confinement or permanent brigging. I'd also personally say that repeat offenses should only apply to a single shift. Why? Because it is a head of staff's responsibility to report consistant issues with crewmembers to CCIA with an incident report, or at the very least, an in-round fax sent to CCIA while someone's online (And I'd personally tell them to file an incident report in most cases). The things to consider here aren't just the IC regulations, but also OOC. It's a real dick move for security to throw someone in solitary permanently just because they're breaking into vending machines, even if it's a 'repeat offense'.

Oh really? Can an admin (or mod) post and confirm what you said? Why is leaving the shield on all shift powergaming? It would be something I would do in case there was nobody to turn the shield on when the inevitable meteor storm came.

Basically, to serve a similar function to removing people from cryo who have been gone for 15+ minutes. There's alot of AIs that will just disconnect and not wipe-core, leaving the slot taken but not actually used for a majority of a round.

Afaik it's only engineering, atmos, and command that have firelock access.

As a note, admins seem to be fairly willing to put you in a pet mob if you ask nicely and (In some cases) give them a poem.

To add to this: Helmets have a specific flag that determines whether masks that you're wearing are shown or hidden under the helmet. If the helmet is flagged to hide masks, then don't have the light. If the helmet is flagged to show masks, then have the light.

Considering the new map is going to be on a planet/asteroid, it would probably make a lot more sense to see about implementing this once the new map comes out, than it does to implement it on a fixed-point station.

Maintenance drones can already drag these around; Being able to carry them using a gripper would make life easier for a drone sinec we wouldn't then have to open doors to get the pipe through, or deal with random mcgee stealing the pipe as we walk past.

Good luck getting people to enforce and obey this. I've had no end of trouble just getting warrants in general enforced as an IAA.

Just a bump to remind people this thread exists since it was asked about in OOC

BYOND Key: SierraKomodo Total Ban Length: Permanent Banning staff member's Key: SoundScopes/Bluespace Cat (I think) Reason of Ban: It was a long time ago and I don't remember the full details, but the incident involved meposting some things in OOC, calling the emergency shuttle, then blowing up my own APC as a malf AI in response to crew metagaming the round and breaking into my core to kill me about an hour into the round. Reason for Appeal: It's been a long time since I was banned from malfunction, and there's been quite a few rounds where I had to go to storage as a borg because I spawned in as one during a malf round (And as a result, I just don't play borg anymore to avoid that situation of gimping the malf AI by giving him one less borg to use). At this point I'd like the oppurtunity to play as a malf AI again, to use some of the malf abilities to work with the traitor AI gimmicks I've used in the past (Like the game master AI), and for some other ideas I've come up with. I'm going to say that I do know the things I said in OOC that one round were less than pleasant, but I /really/ didn't appreciate valid-hunted/metagamed by the crew and moments away from being killed just because it was malf, which is why I'd chosen to just end the round entirely.

Going on the ear slot is already how flower pins work.

This thread is a wild ride. Ignoring the peanut gallery and focusing on the app.. I forgot there are a /lot/ of people who bring their own lunch to work. No reason why that wouldn't happen in 2458.
