  1. This isn't a military station; its a civilian/mining station. There is no need for such a heavily armed force aboard the station.
  2. Don't think it should be removed, but perhaps overhauled. Make them LITERALLY be mall cops.
  3. THE GRAND COUNCILLOR'S SEAT CONTESTED 19/02/2463 Editors Note: Translated to Basic Ormish Jrolk has announced their running for the Grand Councillor’s seat in the upcoming election alongside Grand Councillor Weashbi Jrugl! Jrolk is one of the most influential Skrell across the Orion Spur and was merely a little over two-hundred upon the discovery of humanity in twenty-three-thirty-two and quickly involved themselves within the megacorporation known as Zeng-Hu Pharmaceuticals. They were one of the first “ambassadors'' meant to close the divide between the two species, and assisted in perfecting cloning technology. Jrolk was born on Aweiji during the Era of Synthetic Rebellion, and had survived beneath the tyrannical intelligence for almost a century before its disappearance within the Tri-Qyu Nebula. Despite this, Jrolk went on to complete four degrees at the Grand University on Qerrbalak; Biochemistry, Physics, Genetics and Biotechnology. Their several degrees allowed their career to prosper, even under the ever-watching tyrannical eye of Glorsh-Omega. Jrolk is considered the creator of the fertility treatments found scattered throughout the Nralakk Federation. They are said to be holding a press conference later this week, however, the exact time has yet to be confirmed. Jrolk, and their Quya, have supposedly begun preparing to upheave themselves from their home on Oran to reacquaint themselves with their stunning abode located in Kal’lo. They have since resigned from their position as Chief Research Officer of Zeng-Hu Pharmaceuticals, allowing for many to ponder who the megacorporation will choose as a suitable replacement for the parent of modern cloning. Jrolk’s announcement of their intent to run for the seat of the Grand Councillor has allowed waves to echo across the Nralakk Federation; many supposedly pledging their intention to vote for the distinguished scientist. Various statistics have reported that approval for Weashbi Jrugl has hit an all-time low, many citing that they no longer support the foreign policies of the Skrell.
  4. I like your responses to my questions. I agree with Nienna, you are easy to get along with and you communicate well. This application has my support.
  5. I think you're one of the few players that dedicate their time to playing as a Dionae; essentially being their mascot. This is good, and on that alone you have my support. I do have questions in regards to your application, however. 1. Dionae continue to maintain this reputation of all-seeing pacifistic creatures who have no will to involve themselves in galactic politics (which I don't believe is right, but let's not argue that) what do you think could occur that will involve the Dionae within the galactic situation? What would make them more influential across the Orion Spur? 2. What types of variations are you thinking of? Goodluck!
  6. Hi there! I don't plan on *playing* this character, at all. It is meant to be a way to convey my understanding of the species. As an assistant, Quuv would more so be privy to communications, between departments and whatnot. So whilst not handling things of suuuuper great importance, they still were able to gain information in regards to listening posts and whatnot within the Jargon Federation. Of course, that was my original idea; they were just trying to do it in good faith. I was wondering that instead of fleeing, they instead felt as if they required to be exiled? Like they had done wrong, and as such felt as if they shouldnt remain. This also add into why they'd work with humans, instead of other Vaurcae.
  7. https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Skrell_Culture https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Skrell_History This has been merged. Please, don't use old lore (Snake-Era or Resi-Era) for a basis. It is different. Anyhow, this is the largest expansion of anything! Also the most important! Please, ensure you read this thoroughly, as most Skrell would've lived through these events (The Synthetic Uprising and Collaborator Trials).
  8. You mean your wife?
  9. BYOND KEY: Caelphon Character Names: Some of my more played characters include; Tiiquu Xii-Quualt (Captain, Skrell) Roheen El-Razan (Head of Personnel, Tajaran) Amani Rrahakaslav (Detective/Bartender, Tajaran) Alfarzi Sa'tak (Nurse, Unathi) Withering Caretaker of those Harmed (Chief Medical Officer, Dionae) Species you are applying to play: Vaurcae What colour do you plan on making your first alien character: RGB 150, 180, 255 Have you read our lore section's page on this species: Yes Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question. Why do you wish to play this specific race: My primary reasoning for applying for the Vaurcae isn't in order to play, but more so having a better understanding of the lore and character concepts of it. I wish to work with the Vaurcae Lore Team and *not* be a complete idiot when I create lore that leads to meaningful interactions between the C'thur and Skrell. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: I mean, theres a lot. Firsly, they are one of the "newest" species to the Orion Spur, and as such will have vastly different experiences compared to other species. The species also operates along a caste system; Bound, Unbound, Warriors, Breeders, Lesser Queens and High Queens. Whilst the Lesser Queens and High Queens aren't playable, the other castes are so uniquely different that each Vaurcae is different to another. Also, concepts of religion/culture/biology are MASSIVELY different to any other species, especially humanity. They BREATHE phoron (and oxygen, but the phoron part is more important), the stuff that makes engines work. They live at most 20 years, but that doesn't mean they die. Vaurcae have developed incredibly advanced technology that allows them to continue to live, despite their material body perishing. CHARACTER INFORMATION Character Name: Ka'Akaix'Quuv C'thur Character Background: Having spent much of their existance within the Lesser Queen Mouv's virtual reality as a Lin'tiyakt, Quuv was well-versed in almost every aspect of vaurcaesian data mining; quickly becoming a reknowned name across the reality it found itself entrapped within. For decades, Quuv remained within Mouv's virtual reality, tutorted by Vezaz, doing all that they could as a Lin'tiyakt. It wasn't until the a near-death experience caused by anti-hacking software that prompted the Vaurca's desire to explore the outside world. Six months before its release to the Orion Spur, Quuv began their journey of learning tools required for its success outside of its luxurious safety net. Their birth, and subsequetly crucial months following resulted in them attempting to adjust to their new augments, namely the one capable of language production of the most frequently spoken one within the Jargon Federation; Nral'Malic. Successfully, the Vaurca managed to integrate within the society it found itself within, namely as an assistant to a Ruupkala. The skills of the Vaucae gained through its time as a Lin'tiyakt allowed it to quickly flourish within the ranks of skrellian intelligence gathering. By 2461, Quuv had become renowned throughout the Ruupkala. Their skills equivalent to two Skrell gleaming information simultaneously. Alas, unbenownst to the Jargon Federation, Quuv had been shifting information along to the C'thur assisting a notorious Skrell that eventually attempted to break open the Tzquul Archives through the use of artificial intelligence; Nliix. Soon after the detainment of the other Vaurcae, Quuv's involvement quickly became known - and in an attempt to not face penalties for their assistance to the C'thur, fled to Tau Ceti. Quuv remained on Luthien for almost two years, working alongside the humans in their labs within the poles, before eventually leaving the planet. Quuv eventually stumbled upon a Mouvian Hive located within District Nine, slowly integrating into the community as they were welcomed back into the fold after a grueling two years of working alongside mostly humans. By 2463, Quuv has managed to secure a position as a Lab Assistant aboard the NSS Aurora. Only time can tell what the future holds for this Vaurca. What do you like about this character: I like that Quuv includes both skrellian and vaurcaesian qualaties, which I believe has yielded a unique mix which I am hoping to show should I secure the whitelist. How would you rate your role-playing ability: I do not particularly like rating myself, but I can say that I will attempt to accurately portray this species to the best of my abilities.
  10. After a brief discussion, we have decided to accept this application! Enjoy warbling!
  11. Hi there! Thanks for applying! This application clearly shows your understanding of the skrellian culture, and also the species. I have no questions really, as you've covered most of them!
  12. After a few weeks, the re-rework is ready for release! Before I do so, I'd like to gather public opinion in order to best determine whether it remedies what was said in the Skrell History Feedback Thread a few months ago. There are various differences in the new skrellian history, and there are as follows; 1. We removed overt references to assassination. It just didn't make sense, especially considering they revered life for most of their history. 2. Glorsh-Omega is more "cold, logical evil" than previous iterations. 3. We expanded on the recovery age, and gave it more oomf. https://docs.google.com/document/d/11jOoSYNxq-ZV9ZS2lKKYbIu4JxDpjg3mASmFvx5vhwg/edit?usp=sharing
  13. Neither +1 or -1. Yes, it should be restricted, but also just switching it off is fine. Why do antagonists have to destroy everything?
  14. Hmmmmmmm. I suppose the above two are correct. I already have the perms. I'll think about it today.
  15. Ckey/BYOND Username: Caelphon Position Being Applied For: (Wiki Maintainer, Lore Developer, Deputy Lore developer): Wiki Maintainer Have you read the Lore Team Rules and Regulations wiki page?: I mean, if I havn't by now idk what I'm doing here. Past Experiences/Knowledge: I am currently the Skrell Developer, as well as having been Dionae Deputy. Examples of Past Work: https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Skrell_Culture https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Federation_Spacefaring https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=User:Caelphon/Sandbox4 Additional Comments: I wanna show Haydizzle I am better than him.
  16. Espionage + Crime DLC dropped! It can be found here: https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Federation_Enforcement Happy reading! With this done, the only things left are the cultural expansion and psionic rework (wiki-side only). We are planning on adding on what skrellian artworks are (themes, concepts) alongside skrellian architecture and holidays! Following that, we begin preparing for the Election Arc of 2463! Get ready to vote!
  17. Something most players lack is tact, which is evident in this thread. Revenant has tonnes of potential, and just needs honest, critical feedback so Geeves knows what to work on. Insulting a developers work (lore/code) is never a good idea unless it's backed by *good* criticism which they can learn from, otherwise you just seem like a dick. Geeves is doing good work for Aurora, give him some time to round the edges instead of baseless accusations. Putting that point aside, Revenant has potential but I believe the current fixes you have planned is all that I can imagine for now - besides giving them an ability to "possess" people and speak through them like borers. I think this was done before on Aurora with bluespace echos? Not sure tho.
  18. This application is accepted.
  19. Thanks for applying! Goodluck!
  20. I like the idea, think it'd be fine with the toggleable option.
